I called to inquire about my child's eye glasses and Sarah, at the Oakbrook location, she's highly a disgruntled employee and disappointed me in terms of providing quality customer service and care. She hung up the phone on me over talked me, was extremely angry and rude and I tried calling back to speak with someone else they never answered the phone. Stay away from this place!!!! Customer service is horrible they don't even try to help. I initially had an issue were they didn't offer warranty for my sons glasses then came back when needed and manager was allowing me to pay it since they didn't provide it when bought second time there called upfront to go in for a consultation and they informed theirs hours.. arrived there and they were CLOSED.. and there was clearly someone inside that decided to ignore me and 2 more people trying to pick up glasses we called and voice mail isn't receiving messages because is it FULL. After waiting over 30 minutes they decide to open and there was 3 PEOPLE inside taking lunch!!! No signage no nothing stating they we taking lunch while showing as OPEN. This is ridiculous!!!! I had a great experience there, I was working with the tech Beth, mainly. I had my eye exam (for glasses and contacts), which was standard, and then Beth worked with me and my insurance to figure out what was the best deal I could get to purchase contacts and glasses. I had brought in a quote from another vendor regarding my contacts, and she was able to match the price and still provide me with a rebate, which was awesome. She had some issues with my insurance and glasses, but went out of her way to call another Four Eyes location to figure out the problem with the insurance and how to input it correctly in their system so that I could get a good discount and not have to pay full price. She was not pushy with upselling, as some vendors can be. It was a very friendly experience and as long as I live in the area this will be the place I go for annual eye exam and to refill contacts and to buy new glasses. Also, in terms of Covid-19, they were taking temps at the door, had hand sanitizer, all of the staff had masks on, and required customers to have masks on, and when I went to try on glasses, they handed me a plate to put the tried-on glasses on, so that they can be sanitized once I was done, which was relieving to know that the glasses I were trying on had been cleaned since the last person! Right when I walked which was about 4pm they close at 5pm they welcomed me literally with like do glad to see you. Mind you I never been to this location. I was in need of contacts and had time to spare before my valentines dinner. Beth welcomed me immediately and I was able to see Dr Oza. I am so glad they were able to get Me in. Dr Oza heard and was listening to everything I said. She educated me and made feel so comfortable. I was able to see clearly in matter of minutes. Dr Oza got my prescription in minutes. Unlike other eye places goes this one or the second one five million times. Checking out was a breeze. Jonathon helped me. I was in and out with great vision in 45 min. Used to love this place, (the staff used to be friendly and helpful) but it has gone downhill on the last couple of years. There is not a very good selection of frames. Every time we go there is a different doctor on staff, and lately the entire staff has been unorganized. The last straw has been trying to get my 16 year old in for contact lenses. Every time we have called, there was no doctor available (not just booked up, but no doctor on site). I was finally able to get her in today. The doctor did her exam (which felt rushed) and then told her there was a "class" she needed to take before she could get contacts (how to care for them, etc.) and to check up front to see when she could do the class. I asked if they could do it today, and he said again to check up front. Up front they said they could do it Monday. They could not do it today, because the doctor was getting ready to leave. (Why could he have not told me that? We made the appointment for the class, paid and left. I then realized they did not give us the prescription. I want back in, and got it- it was still attached to the carbon paper. After I got home, the prescription was only for contact lenses - no mention of contacts. I called back, and asked for an explanation. The gentleman I spoke with told me that they will do the contact lens fitting during the class, and assured me that there won't be an additional charge for the fitting. He said that they don't make contact lens appointments on Saturdays because they are so busy. (But the doctor was leaving right away? Sounds more like he didn't want to work on Saturdays- there were not that many people there.) When I told him that I specifically requested an appointment to look into contact lenses, he did apologize, but there was a lot of frustration in his voice. We are planning on going back for the "class" /fitting, but plan on taking our business elsewhere after that appointment and follow up. read more

Well a groupon deal brought me in to this location, and I was pleasantly surprised. My 22 yr old son needed glasses and he is very fashion conscious. They carry a wide variety of styles and designer frames, and he actually had to decide between several great selections, While I was there, Nicole Reeves, was extremely helpful and even tightened my own personal frames and cleaned them up for me, out of kindness and her own doing. When we returned to pick up his glasses, just a few days later, I also bought a pair. Nicole's service was knowledgeable, friendly, generous and helpful. Couldn't work with them. I needed a simple measurement (PD) to send back to a doctor's office in Tampa. After being put on hold three times, I was told that since they were not making the glasses they couldn't do the measurement. I offered to pay for the service which takes less than 1 minute, but was told no - that I would have to buy glasses from them or wait until I got home in a week and have that doctor do the measurement. Great customer service! I walked in with no appointment, the tech asked if I had insurance? I didn't think my health plan had this service. He confirmed I had coverage! The doctor was detailed and friendly. The sales women had helpful suggestions and sized my glasses to my head and face well. Just refreshing to have someone say "thank you" for using our services! Going on week 2 of waiting for a pair of sunglasses that I ordered through them and paid full price and although the staff was friendly and the price was right, customer service is absolutely horrific. I called in today to see why I am going on week two of not receiving my new sun glasses and get told that the lab damaged them and that they need 4 to 5 more days to repair and re order? I mean really? So it is going to take me up to 3 weeks to have a basic prescription fulfilled because their lab botched the production. I am now going to wait to receive my glasses as I am not in the mood to start this process over anywhere else but next time will pay the extra money at my private optometrist for glasses instead of this fiasco. I now have to wait longer for a much needed pair of sunglasses and will most likely have to call in myself to see when they get in as updates are not a priority for this business. Suggest taking your business elsewhere. Nice people, helpful staff just poor poor delivery on a much needed product. If its 100% satisfaction guaranteed then I am well short of that. read more

Went to visit this location on a Sunday. Terrible customer service!..Employee(male) goes to the back to remove Burberry lettering from lens. When he returned somehow he failed to mentioned that he severely botched the job. Clouded the lens and cracked it but I quickly noticed the new look. He pretended that he hadn't noticed this crack "oh, hummm let's see" while giving his coworker the look like "damn I almost had this guy". I imagine that if I hadn't noticed this before leaving, the blame for this what have been on me. He told me it was no problem and that he would definitely have another pair like these on Wednesday and would then call me for pick up. Wednesday No Call. Thursday No Call so I called, however the new set had not arrived. Saturday I went to For Eyes only to find a bigger crack in the so called new set but of course "oh it's no problem we can just order you a new set, they'll be here Wednesday".
