No forced selling of additional services. They are very detailed in showing you your benefits and any specials they are running. They take their time to discuss your vision care and concerns. I have traveled back to this place four times and it is still not right, too tired at this moment to make another trip, and I don't really want to spend too much energy on just two hundred dollars, we can all use our time better. The doctor was alright, but the glass shopping part can do much better. The vendor that make my previous lenses got everything right in one visit. This was my first time to this location and I have to say, it wasn't going the greatest. The doctor who was normally there, was out on vacation and they had a stand in doctor. She was terrible. HOWEVER, the manager and the staff working was amazing. I wanted to come back for a reevaluation since I was unsatisfied and they were MORE THAN happy to accommodate me. When I came back, I had a great experience and even still the staff was awesome! It took me an hour to pick out the right glasses. I wasn't rushed, they were very helpful. My boyfriend and I just went back to have our glasses adjusted as they were no longer tight on our faces. The gentleman who assisted us was awesome. Now, understand, my boyfriends glasses may as well have been flat. The gentleman took his time on them. Explained to us how important it is to take the glasses off with two hands. I have in the past had a good experience here. But today I decided to find another eye doctor. Yesterday I received a postcard to confirm my appointment and when I called to confirm, I was told that the office would be closed that day. Hmmmm...When I expressed confusion as to why I would be sent a postcard to confirm an appointment I made a year ago, only to find that I could not, in fact, confirm that appointment, the receptionist talked down to me like I was the stupidest person in the world and her tone was exasperated that she actually had to explain to me why the postcard that was just mailed to me in the past few days was wrong. Okay..... Apparently, they've had to reduce their hours because of short staffing. When she told me that, I expressed sympathy that they are short staffed, but that did not shift her sour demeanor. She continued to be exasperated and condescending. While I have sympathy for businesses negatively affected by COVID (i.e. short staffing), it also means that their standards and quality may decrease as well. I called back, thinking I just got a bad apple and talked to (I think) another person who was similarly irritable. But it could have just been the same woman, it was hard to tell. In my view, if you have to change a patient's appointment, you contact them proactively to let them know, explain the reason for the change, apologize for any inconvenience and then politely reschedule them. You don't get irritable with the patient because you cannot meet your commitment to the patient. That kind of attitude is a huge red flag. Word to the wise...this location is experiencing short staffing that--in my experience--is causing their service to degrade. My healthcare is too important to get care from a medical office that is so overworked that they cannot even offer basic courtesy and politeness to their patients or stay on top of their own scheduling. Update: I've changed my review from two stars to one star because of the business owner's defensive response pointing to their "315 other reviews," which, of course, were all made BEFORE they became short staffed. Businesses can and do change over time. Looks like this business is dysfunctional from the bottom up AND top down, more interested in protecting their reputation than in listening and responding to patient concerns, giving no indication that they would provide training to their rude employee in order to correct the problem, only trying to gaslight my review as being an outlier opinion. The Pearle Vision store employees are very good as are the optometrists that have examined my eyes. The problem is that they recommend Kovach Eye Inst. for further examination by an ophthalmologist. Kovach over schedules to the point of ridiculous and they recommend surgery that isn't immediately necessary. I was there recently. They are all about $$$. Silly me forgot my glasses at home while flying from Texas to Chicago. (It was early and I swear I don't think straight before coffee.) Feeling blind and headed next to Hawaii I didn't want to go more than a week unable to see the sights. After calling several eye glass locations Pearle Vision was the only one able to provide a new pair the same day! I had my prescription save on my phone so I just had to email it to them and show up to pick out a new pair. I was on a tight timeframe knowing I had just a few hours before I needed to leave for surprise party. The workers were incredibly helpful! When I called, first they made sure my lens prescription was in stock and explained the timing to make the pair. Sultan (the eye care specialist) gave me advice on the type of frame that works best with my nose so I don't keep buying a pair that slides down my face. Jennifer (another specialist) was patient and showed me the great assortment of name brand glasses Tom Ford, Kate Spade, Polo, Michael Kors, Tiffany's, Bebe, Oakley, Ray Ban, but I ended up with a cute pair fromTory Burch. Next, Sultan took a few measurements and helped find my VSP insurance in the system. It was so easy and eased my mind to know I could continue on my travels with NEW Glasses. From the moment we walked in until the moment we have, each person we worked with was a positive experience. We were immediately given a tablet with the standard questions to fill out. This was a nice touch compared to the old-school way of dealing with paperwork. It was faster and much easier. Only waited a few minutes to get in and see Dr. Kurose. Once again, technology prevailed and the entire "which looks better this or that" was done via a digital software. Every test done was using computerized technology, which I just loved. Hubby and I opted to do the retina photo which showed that we both have freckles on our cornea. One of the last eye doctors we went to had to send out the photos for exam. This time we were able to see everything on the PC right away. We saw the nerves and were told what it would look like if we had macular degeneration. Once finished, she had a new eye prescription for both of us. We then moved on to selecting frames and having the options for them built out. They had many very nice frames and options for things like HD lenses. Sultan pulled up our eye insurance and then showed us a break-down of what everything would cost before and after our insurance. While waiting for things and picking out frames, we had a nice chat with him. It was a very positive experience, not overpriced and I think we have found a new eye doctor. I have been a customer at this location for years and have always been satisfied with the product and service. Recently my daughter decided to get another pair of glasses. We purchased them and had her prescription put in and they were ready 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to see with them, so they did an in house exam and had them ready once more 2 weeks later. Even though the receptionist and manager that we spoke with were kind and professional to try and get it right my daughter decided not to move forward due to time constraints with college and jobs. I was fortunate enough to talk to Bridget Sullivan. I was stressed about returning the glasses. I did not want to do that but my daughter decided to do contacts instead and not wait for the glasses to be fixed again. I was fully refunded, which I felt bad, but was relieved of how I was treated and how they made me feel worry free. I know they did not have to do that as far as policy goes. Exceptional service!! I purchased a paid of glasses in October of 2022 and they did not seem right. I brought them back and they adjusted them, no questions asked. They again did not feel right. Due to work travels, I was unable to get back to the store until this past weekend, 2/18/2023. When I did, again, no questions asked. Suck it up." Lol. Nope. WRONG PRESCRIPTION! Needless to say they were apologetic and replaced them. Second visit they apparently called the wrong number for co tacts pick up. I've been coming here for a couple of years and typically, I have a 5 star experience however, this last time was different. Everything was totally fine until the end. Check out took FOREVER. I was told they had a new system (which I get) but I was there waiting to check out longer than any other part of my appointment. I wanted to switch from 2-week contacts to dailies. I asked all sorts of questions to make sure I was crystal clear about what my insurance would cover, there is a 200 dollar rebate for the type I was going to buy, etc. I left wanting to give them a try before committing. I called back today and opted to order them - when everything was said and done, the women during my visit told me I'd have to pay $150 but when I called to order them told me $350 bucks! They go on to say the rebate was apparently mail-in. What really upsets me is for the 45 minutes I sat there waiting to be checked out, no one mentioned that it was mail in. I'm really disappointed and will go get my contacts elsewhere. Good customer service is hard to find these days. read more

Been going here for years for classes and my wife gets her contacts here as well. Friendly customer service and wait times are okay as long as you don't go on a Saturday afternoon. What really makes this place stand out was last year one of my students (I teach 6th grade) broke his glasses. His family did not have a lot of money and he could not get them fixed. I took the glasses to Pearle and told them his story. They replaced the frames for free and went as far as providing him with a case and a cleaning kit. The manager was happy to do this wonderful thing for a needy kid. I am sure it has had a profound impact on his life. We often complain about companies and their lack of customer service or disregard for the community. In this case, Pearle leads me to believe there are still people in business who care. Love that all the staff are wearing masks and taking temperatures. Patients entering receive new paper disposable masks and I recognize the value of that policy. Not pleased with the doctor not accepting the information we gave that we had already received camera examinations for the back of the eye in home by our insurance carrier. A report was sent to our primary care physician already. We only needed basic exams. He insisted. We had dilation of our eyes and were told to return to the bright room with no protection from light or other people. We were expected to pick glasses. I walked to the wrong sales person due to cloudy blurred vision. I was pushed into a glass frame.. they are ok but $600.00 with insurance is a lot to spend without spending time and making clear decisions. Plus protection in a time of covid. read more

I have been buying glasses for the past 10 years and have never, ever found a place that offer glasses that I liked, a dr. that I trusted and a staff did not try to up sell you on everything. I had been to Lenscrafters and For Eyes looking for glasses. I had a difficult time finding someone to help me. Nothing they had in stock was the correct frame size and they would not order the correct size for you. Each store tried to tell me that I could wear a larger frame and it would look fine. Sure, if I wanted to look like Harry Carey. On a whim I went to Pearle. WOW - attentive service and a super eye exam. Get this - the price for the exact frame was less expensive and the lenses were ALOT less expensive at Pearle than Lenscrafters. For the cost of a frame and lenses at Lenscrafters, I was able to get glasses and sunglasses. An hour later my glasses were ready. Perfect fit and spot on prescription. I would highly recommend this location for outstanding service and not trying to sell you add ons you do not need. They even made a few suggestions that saved me money. read more
