False advertising! The prices on the menu do not reflect the prices on the check. Unfortunately, they can get away with that because in the fine print they say the bill will reflect the accurate prices. This is unfair to the consumer because if you review the bill and you alot your income total towards the amount that your projected including tax and tip and then you get the bill and it is a completely different number, this is unfair. This is unfair because then you provide less of a sip to the waitress if you were not accounting for the $10-$15 additional that you were not expecting to be charged. This is an injustice as a customer. The menu is need to be updated to reflect accurate price. Please be aware if you are visiting this restaurant. I am shocked I'm even bothering but something tells me I should warn people. I've been coming here for years and bringing a lot of friends too I might add. The wait time can be ridiculous sometimes, service leaves much to be desired but the food was great. UNTIL MONDAY! I ordered curried goat with rasta pasta and was FLOORED at the amount of salt! Not to mention they skimped on the goat but with all that salt I couldn't get by ONE bite! I also bought Salmon and my sons were not having it.... I don't know if I should just consider it a fluke but all I can think of was me ordering it to go for my father-in-law and having him go into shock! I don't want to chance it. Have been to this establishment and the two others in Brooklyn. I've only ordered a variety of Rasta Pasta, mixing up the meats added to it. Every dish I have ordered has been phenomenal. Can't get enough of it. At the restaurant they have an AMAZING mix drink menu with catchy names. You can literally close your eyes and pick a drink and I'm pretty sure you would enjoy it. The service is so so when it gets crowded at night. Never tried to make a reservation but if you plan on going and sitting down at night, you might want to inquire about making a reservation or going early because the wait can be up to 2 hours! great west indian food, great drinks and great music and nice atmosphere. it gets crowded late at night on weekends- its nice to sit outside in summer. Only complaint- the music is TOOOO dang loud!!! lol we are always yelling to hear each other when we go to eat- its annoying, like eating in a club, so i took one star. My boyfriend of 12 years worked at this place for 3 years. It's always a pleasure coming here. They have great food, great music and great music. The Rasta pasta is my favorite dish however they have good days and bad days. Sometimes the recipe doesn't taste the same however it's never horrible. The curry coconut shrimp dish is also very delicious. This is my favorite location out of the 3 establishments in Bk. I've been a customer for many many years and their food never disappoints. However, I ordered my food last night and the process to order and the pick up is totally disorganized. Firstly, we are customers and not animals and your security should not direct us in that manner. Secondly, there should be 2 lines. 1 to order and 1 for pick ups. There should be no reason why your customers have get on the same line that people are placing orders in order to pick up food that's already prepared and possibly getting cold. Also you're not practicing social distancing inside or outside. i know this covid 19 pandemic has been difficult for us all and you are doing your best but please try and implement something to make the process run smoother for you and for your customers. read more

Footprints Cafe is a great place for drinks. I enjoyed my Lemon Martini, all three of them. The flavor was perfect and there was enough alcohol in it to keep me happy. It is extremely loud in the restaurant, music, talking patrons and the closeness of the tables make it hard for a good conversation with your party. Their rasta pasta is truly addicting. Its a little on the pricier side I think for just pasta. But its worth it. I've had this for lunch a few times and I've been here for dinner and drinks. The drinks are awesome, nice and strong. I've had good service and once a really cute waiter. I know most of my friends/buddies that lives in BK and especially the ones that are from the Caribbean knows about this spot, heard of it before. I knew about it of course through a friend-that's why you have them for lol-nah! But when you know people you discovered things/places and experience different things ehh! This place is known for their "Rasta Pasta"-why? Until this day I still have no clue (my opinion). It's known for that because they make the "best pasta", it tastes different and it's some special sauce that's in it-not quite sure the ingredients that's added in it, but it's good. I wouldn't say the best but it's good. The ambiance of the place is ok-could be better. It's very typical (Caribbean restaurant), very loud, same music you'd hear at Cafe Moments-the usual stuff. The difference is with Cafe is the people are very nice, they acknowledge their customers, you're recognized and that I like and appreciate-but then again maybe because the person who introduced me to Cafe knows the owner-they're like a big family so I'm considered a part too. The owner is very nice. ***ok enough about Cafe. This is about Footprint here** I hope someone gets where I'm going with this :-) Now would I go back to Footprint? I've been there more than three times so I think it'll be a go again but with the right people. ...of course it's a place you can bring a date there-NOT a first date!! Been here several times and everyone flocks here for rasta pasta. I personally don't see the big deal. It doesn't seem fresh. the pasta tastes as if they made a huge pot in the morning and warm it and add sauce as it's ordered. It's clammy and gluey to me... hey, that's just my opinion. So I order other things on the menu. I recently tried the shrimp and lobster fried rice and it tastes like boxed yellow rice with added red pepper, green pepper and onions. So, that's not big deal either. The wait for a table is extreme at times, but what's even worse is your waiter service. I don't think we started eating until we were all talked out, peanuts were done (trick to make you thirsty and order mad drinks) and an hour has passed. That's pretty ridiculous. The drinks are good... there is a nice balance. Not too strong, not too weak. So in the future with respect to food, I will stick to what works for me... not venturing out and ordering/trying new things anymore. I've been satisfied with everything else that I've ordered. Most likely, when I visit NY again, I'll be back. I'll just stand clear of rasta pasta and shrimp and lobster fried rice. read more

My friend took me here a couple months ago and introduced me to the rum punch or shall I say the rum punch introduced me to myself that drink was the strongest I ever had I definitely needed one after a long week. She recommended the Rasta pasta with jerk chicken the food did take a little while to prepare but it was worth the wait. Pasta was nice and creamy and chicken was cooked with the right amount of seasoning . The service was good the wait time wasn't too bad we went a little after they opened on a Saturday it started to get busy as we were leaving. Parking is okay in the area. This was definitely a great spot. Visited for the first time after hearing about the Rasta pasta hype and for sure was not disappointed. Our waiter was very sweet and offered free complimentary samples of their local drink. For the appetizers we order the calamari and calypso chicken wings. One word; phenomenal. Came here with a restaurant.com certificate that I've had forever. This place is deep in BK so I'm guessing you'd need a car to get here. Although it was packed, we were seated right away. Their drink menu is intense - with a good 50 plus options with everything ranging from a "thug passion" to "miami vice" haha... I don't remember what I ordered but I was definitely tipsy by the last sip. I read reviews before I came so I was prepared for mediocre service - surprisingly our server was quite nice with a big smile. We placed our order for rasta pasta with chicken and the snapper/shrimp combo and didnt get our food for over an hour. You need a whole new level of patience to come here as this alone was pretty disappointing. Maybe they wanted the time to pass so we'd order more drinks but who's to say because we didn't.
