I'm just gonna judge the patties that I have purchased here. I did not like how the rest of the food looked so I did not want to purchased anything else. The service was ok, I mean I wasn't greeted with an attitude so that was a plus. I decided to buy me a veggie and beef patty and my friend got a chicken and beef. I have to say, I love the flaky crust but the filling was lacking. It was barely any meat inside. My veggie patty was filled but it was lacking in flavor. Such a big disappointment. I don't think I would buy anything from this place again. I mean I have better options.- HAPPY YELPING read more

The worst, I haven't been here in years and today I said let me give them a try maybe just maybe time made it better but to my surprise, nope, no. Heck to the no. The food was sub par disgusting. The wings were covered in feathers, My god really, disgusted times 10 read more

Tastee Pattee - Nasty wings covered in chicken feathers ... I ate none how could I - Caribbean Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The food smell on the street brought me in. I had to see what it was. Jamaican food oooh.. so of course I got the oxtail + a small size of jerk chicken. Oxtail was tasty but too salty. She really loaded up my container.. for me it's like 3 portions. Compared to Miss Lilly's this place is sub par. The chicken was dry too. I'd say the prices are really reasonable but I guess you get what you pay for. The service was ok. The lady kept talking about other people and to other people so I couldn't tell if and when she was talking to me. Also she's tiny, her face is below the glass counter and I couldn't really see her. She was cold but she did pile up my plate. read more

I'm a regular customer at tastee pattee, Flatbush Ave location. I don't know if y'all changed y'all chef or ingredients, but the Food don't taste good. The food haven't been good, the last few times I've been there. I always get jerk chicken, rice and beans with macaroni salad. Today 3/1/2026 everything was flavorless, besides the side of macaroni and cheese. Macaroni salad was stale like it made last week. Spent $70 and it wasn't well spent. read more

I forgot to take a picture of the beef patty because BABY!!!!! I ate that beef patty in 6 bites... it's so flaky, and the beef filling is so fresh. They were out of veggie patties, but I was fine they salmon patty also be slappin''!!! Anyways I had to order the stew peas immediately when my greedy ass saw it. I was like, yessssssss... not everywhere makes good stew peas with pig tail (okay!!!) I ordered a small, and the lady was super sweet and definitely filled up my plate with enough food. This was so good like literally I am coming back for the same order lol. Food is fresh and the place is well kept. Very busy so expect so wait time. read more

to be quite honest, I wasn't even going to leave this review had UBEREATS refunded me my money, but the fact that I contacted the store last night to let them know what I found personally and no refund was offered right then, nothing other than an apology and today I have to fight bots with pictures to get a refund is insane so let's all join in the headache. I ordered a large cow foot and wings meal last night from here; got it after a long wait but it looked so amazing; get 3 to 4 bites in to notice in the cow foot has burnt bug; literal roach cooked into the white rice, I kid you not. Yes the package was tightly closed, no I don't have pest. Disgusted. Obviously I won't be returning and cooking at home for a while. read more

I wanted a fish patty, the only available patty's were the chicken patty's and they did not disappoint. The patty's were seasoned perfectly, they were light and they were filling. The workers were friendly enough, the service was good and the ambiance was chill. This was my first visit but definitely not my last.. read more

For starters, the server was not polite, we had to go back because she didn't place the dumplings and salt fish in the bag. We felt like we were inconveniencing her just to order food. The jerk wings were not cooked thoroughly and I thought they were going to fly away being that if you look closely the feathers were still on the wings YUCK. The patty was decent somewhat, the salt fish was dry. I'm sorry I can't recommend this place. read more

It's just good food. The patties are always sold out. It's better than C & Js minus the attitude.

The food here is ok..Patee is not that great (Golden Kristy patties are better) . They put your sides in foil paper lol..how ghetto is that..unacceptable for a restaurant. read more

Tastee is my go to place to eat in the area. Food taste very nice. Just know the line always long and sometimes them take long. The patties are comparable to the ones in Jamaica. They have, veggie, chicken, beef, salmon. Took off one star for the long wait times but it deserves all the 5 stars besides that. read more

The food is hella good here. Especially if you get it while it's hot. However, the staff are often rude and slow. If you are starving DO NOT EAT HERE! You will be too vex to even function. Dey tek too long! Forget ordering the food either it doesn't hit the same as going in the store. As well as slow service, I have found out that due to Covid-19 this location doesn't sell patties. I wish they would bring it back. I don't want to have to go to Church Avenue to get my fix and Golden Krust is overrated :( read more

The food is good but the service is extremely horrible. The servers with the exception of maybe like one are nasty and rude to customers. The cashiers fetched for me to come to the register as if I was a dog. The staff needs training. read more

This is probably one of my new favorite place right now to get my island food fix on. I have been here a couple of times and I must say they never seem to disappoint me. From the curry chicken to the jerk pork everything is always well seasoned and taste amazing each meal comes with a side of either fried plantain, green salad, potato salad or macaroni salad. My new favorite is the salmon patty it's different but taste so good. If you're ever in the mood for good island food give tastee pattee a try the lines are usually always long but the wait is worth it. read more

This place is just awesome. I wanted to eat everything in here. I came in for a beef patty and left with more food than I needed. It's a decent place to eat, more geared towards take out but you can sure sit down. EVERYTHING I had was so delicious! I recommend the jerk chicken, Mac and cheese and plantains. They offer to put any sauce on the rice or in my case Mac and cheese so I did the goat curry, yum!!! But man, that beef patty was amazing!! The crust was so buttery and flaky. The beef was so meaty and tasted like there was bone marrow in it, simple pleasures. Next time, I'm trying the peanut punch. read more

I purchase food at Tastee Patee on Flatbush, Brooklyn regularly. I love the food, it's very taste. Sometimes, I think depending on the cook the food is too salty. They need to have guidelines for cooking with low salt. read more

Feeling a bit hungry before a dance class in the neighborhood I decided to grab a patty. The line was long, probably a good sign, and the service slow but polite, mostly because they take their time to ask you what you would like, like cabbage, plaintain or salad in addition to your entree. The jerk chicken looked good, so I ordered that as well, but haven't eaten it yet; will submit an addendum when I do. However, the party is delicious! Perfectly flaky crust was hot with a yummy, albeit runny, and slightly spicy filling. The coco bread was fresh, splendid accompaniment to soak up the patty contents. read more

These folks are VERY Rude. They Act as if you are getting the food for free. Apparently my meal comes with two side items. Which I did not know until I heard someone order the same item. I wasn't offered to side items and was told I should have asked by the cashier. This being my 1st time here and the menu does not state so. The staff here refused to give customer service. Which the food wasn't all that great. White rice was cold and it's CORN in almost all of the side items. But knowing I was paying for side and being offered would have been nice. read more

I'm sorry to report that this WAS one of my favorite places to eat. I say was because the quality of food has gone down. The chicken dishes are overcooked, they always seem to be out of cabbage (seriously?), the goat and oxtail dishes are served with more bones than meat, and the customer service is HORRIBLE! They don't seem to know their ass from their elbow most times! And, the worse is the food counter is often filthy. When you work the line, you're trained to serve and wipe. Sad, sad, sad because this just started this summer. Not sure if it's under new management or they're just content to provide the black community with whatever they believe we'll accept. Well, whatever it is there are a ton of other terrific Caribbean restaurants in this neighbor that you can decide to spend your hard earn dollars. Start to care folks so we can get places in the hood that value your business. read more

It be a hit or miss with this place ... sometimes the food is wayyyy too spicy!! The oxtails are delicious & the potato salad. This is my new favorite West Indies restaurant.

I am always looking around for great Caribbean food. I have tried many, but today I wandered in here while waiting for my daughter to come out of dance class. A lot of times when I go in at dinnertime much of the food is sold out, but here they had everything - patties, bread, plantains, and stews. My daughter is a vegetarian so I was able to get her a veggie pattie, which she loved. I got a curry chicken dinner and I have to say, this may have been the best curry chicken I've ever had. It was so fresh and flavorful, and the steamed veggies were also a step above. I will definitely go back. In fact, I can't think of any reason to ever go anywhere else in the area! Nicely done, Tastee Pattee! read more

The food is ok, some of the servers are ok, others has and gives negative attitude, you wait forever to get just beef patties, as there are no express patty line, the managements are sarcasticly rude in more ways than one... I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO NOT EAT FROM HERE AND REFRAIN FROM SPENDING YOUR MONEY IN THESE ESTABLISHMENTS WHERE PEOPLE ARE DISRESPECTFUL TO YOU!!!!!.
