My cousin visits this restaurant at least once a week. I've never been, but she knows I LOVE SEAFOOD. They serve seafood every Friday, with lots of options to choose from. Seafood rice , curry shrimp , salmon , king fish, snapper fish etc. I ordered the seafood rice, which is $22 and a Brown stew snapper $25. Everything is delicious and fresh. Once you arrive you place your order first, pay and then your food is dished out. The customer service for me was wonderful 10/10. The restaurant is a good size, but no seating inside . You order and go. I'm so glad I finally got to visit , and I will be back soon. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the customer service here was among the worst I've experienced. The food was actually decent, which makes this even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the service was so rude and unprofessional that I have no intention of returning. From the cashier to the employees serving the food, the staff consistently came across as irritated and dismissive toward paying customers. It genuinely felt like our presence was an inconvenience. Orders were forgotten, and instead of apologizing or correcting the mistake courteously, staff became visibly annoyed when customers politely reminded them. One interaction in particular stood out. A customer calmly and clearly explained his order, yet an employee repeatedly raised his voice and accused the customer of confusing him. The customer remained respectful throughout, but the employee continued to respond aggressively. It was uncomfortable to watch. What surprised me most was that everyone waiting in line was talking about how poor the customer service was. When multiple customers are commenting on the staff's attitude while waiting for food, that's a sign there's a serious problem. The food isn't what will keep me away; it's the complete lack of professionalism and respect shown to customers. I sincerely hope management addresses the culture and customer service, because the restaurant has potential, but the experience made me decide I won't be coming back. read more

I was visiting from out of state a couple days ago and purchased a medium curry goat. The male server filled the container with rice, some steamed vegetables and the smallest spoonful of curry goat. It was not all goat either. There was some other meat mixed in , perhaps cow foot. Very deceptive and disappointing. read more

I couldn't believe a Jamaican would serve oxtail that favor tire to someone. No shame??? Just greed. The oxtail didn't simmer down, the flavors didn't seep through-- worse oxtail I ever had in life. And as a Jamaican you should know better. Poor ox RIP, they really wasted your tail I hope someone made a good steak from you. read more

I had to stop ordering from them. they are consistent with the quantity and quality of their food. soup come with only dumplings and big and tough yams with no meat and they put just all rice with meat dishes. it is getting ridiculous. in this economy where people still is ordering food and to receive a bag of mess is disrespectful and disappointing read more

I'm starting to feel each time I walk around Flatbush I'm unconsciously looking to immerse myself in my Caribbean roots. Today was no different. I walked into Caribbean Vibes restaurant and felt at home even though I'm not Jamaican. I wanted a soup and instead of their cowheel soup of the day (Tuesday), I went ahead and asked for their pigtail soup. The cashier laughed and explained it was stew peas usually served with a carb. I negotiated and got MY soup. WIN. Homestyle seasoning was accomplished flawlessly. Even thought I cannot stand spicy food I was able to tolerate their hint of hot spice. THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. And this is an extremely powerful compliment from someone who doesn't even like black pepper. Food shouldn't be so filled with pepper burning my tongue and blistering my mouth to be considered flavourful. Let the other yummy ingredients shine man! (Yeah, stop with the no way she's a Trinbagonian jokes. I've heard them all). I grew up in a house with a mummy making REAL PEPPER SAUCE, NOT hot sauce. So real that at times tears would literally fall from my eyes when she made pepper sauce using the mother in law/ scorpion pepper. So stop the jokes, stop eet! My small "soup" packed  like a large was soooooo guuud! Everything including peas, steamed dumplings and meat (chicken foot (what a surprise) and pigtail) was so soft that when I bit into my meat I went straight through and the bone crumbled. Staff was so nice. Very very  pleasant. ALL OF THEM. I LOVE US SO MUCH. Definitely returning. The End. read more

I have a love hate thing going on with this restaurant. The food is good and the portion sizes are great. Oxtail: is always good and full of flavor, it worth the price. Stew Peas: it was my favorite, but once they started putting chicken foot in it, I had to walk away. It's so flavorful and delicious, but I spend more time picking out the chicken foot than enjoying my meal. Curry Chicken: delicious and full of flavor. Fried Chicken: not a fan. It had great flavor, but it was just dry. They have a good variety of salads to go with your meal, they're all good especially the macaroni salad ($1 extra charge), but I miss the days when they served it in a separate piece of foil. read more

They're usually on point with their food, but the last few times they fumbled big time. Rice and peas looked like just white rice, but this time it was clumped together and inedible. The jerk pork was bland and overall dry. read more

This spot is open late so we decided to give them a try. There were a ton of locals inside ordering so that looked promising. We ordered jerk chicken, fried chicken, stew chicken, mac salad, rice and beans, plantains and pasta too. Everything was a little under $40. We also ordered fruit punch and pineapple ginger juice which were both very good, the juices were my favorite things here. I loved the mild spice of the jerk chicken and it was very tender. The mac salad was average but added a nice tang to the meal. Everything was very tender but on the mild tasting side. There were no overpowering flavors. I also wished the plantains were softer and sweeter. They were dry and bland. We were waiting for our food but it turns out they never made it, so we had to check with them and had to wait much longer. read more

The food is sooo good, I've had so many different dishes. I would definitely the pineapple fried rice the chicken the curry goat.

Disappointed! use to be my go to spot for down home Caribbean food. It seems they're taking shortcuts. I bought curry chicken, white rice, salad and cow foot, rice and peas, salad. The rice from both items were sweet , not as in coconut milk flavor, just sweet as in sugar! Meat items lacking in flavor, if it wasn't for the consistency of the protein, I would think they were the same meats. For these prices, please do better! read more

the customer service needs work. The ladies have attitudes and don't understand English.

Food was delicious, I had the oxtails with rice and beans and macaroni salad. My son recommended this dish and he didn't lie about how good it is. My daughter had curry goat, she said it was spicy and good. Service, we ordered through doordash. Not sure about the ambiance but I will order again. read more

Pretty cool west-Indian/Jamaican spot in the multi-cultural section of Flatbush ,Brooklyn. the mac and cheese is delicious . I had mac and cheese as west Indians called it "pie" ( depending on which island, some of the islands have different dialects and pronunciations ) and I had oxtail and Cole saw. the food was great I see why the lines are always long when I'm passing by the neighborhood . I'll definitely would come back here in a heart beat . I would have gave this place a five star but the lady who called my number to pick up my food after I order (chubby light skin lady ) I told her "thank you' she didn't reply back and say "you welcome" she just turn her back to me . the lady at the cashier she was pretty friendly . otherwise everything is fine I'll definitely love this place !!!! very convenient by the mta transportation : subway : 2,5-Train . This is my #1 Spot for Curry Goat and Oxtail in Brooklyn, but I'm vexed today. Are you guys taking shortcuts by buying and serving cheaper short grain white rice?. It wasn't a good texture . The goat meat wasn't cleaned properly. Lots of extra cartilage and bones. The flavor is there, thankfully. The Oxtail had a lot of powdered seasonings and overall wasn't a good representation of what's usually sold at this restaurant. read more

We ordered take out from heat today and were very disappointed. My stew chicken was way too sweet and the rice and peas were dry with Very few peas. I had the oxtail and omg! Incredible delicious... keep up the good work. So glad I found this rrst

Five star rating is based on the food! I went on a Friday night which probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. From point of entering to leaving, I was probably there 30-40 min. NEED TO KNOW: As soon as you walk in, walk straight to the register to order. Make sure you know exactly what you want when it's your turn. Hold onto your receipt and wait for your number to be called. If it's a while, you can ask if your order is almost ready. Medium oxtails, peas and rice, cabbage and macaroni salad: - Oxtails were meaty, moist, cooked perfectly and slightly sweet - Rice with beans are fluffy and not greasy by any means - Cabbage is a great side - Macaroni salad is great esp mixed with the rice The medium portion is hefty and good enough for 1-2 people! You have to have patience but the food is worth it read more

We came into this area and was in the mood for something different and this is! I ordered Thursday special on medium size deal for salmon, yellow rice and salad. My colleague went for large ox-tail, yellow rice and plantation. A lot people came for lunch and long waiting for your turn to get your meal. Only four tables available and not easy to get table. (Lucky we did get a table for ourselves). Price for lunch combo is $11- dinner combo $13 They have soup of the day daily small $4-large $7 It took about 25-30 minutes for our turn to get our lunch! Food are so good! Nothing can go wrong at this place for food quality ! read more

The best oxtail I be ever had!!!! Portions were huge and flavorful! I will be returning!

They did not disappoint! I usually cook my own oxtail but I had a taste for it today so I was researching spots for good oxtails. I came across this restaurant and quickly checked the reviews. The reviews were good and ok but the pictures made me Uber eat from here. They always seem to give a nice size portion unlike other places. I ordered the oxtail, white rice, an macaroni salad. MANNNNN IT WAS AMAZING . Hit the spot in such a good way. I will definitely continue to eat here. Great job read more

I came across this place on a very late night. There the only restaurant that stays open after 10pm. And I haven't stopped going since then. I've learned to eat several different foods from a different cultural. No regrets. Now I'm in there for breakfast too. The Callaloo is delicious with onions and peppers. ( My new favorite )There fresh ginger & pineapple drink is refreshing. Sells out a lot. There salmon is okay. There fried fish on the weekends are perfect. Sometimes there lines are long but well worth the wait. You get the chance to see your food before you order it. Give it a try. read more

I been coming to this place for over 10 plus years and loved the food and the quality of service from the older servers in there. VERY DISAPPOINTED...the food was not what I was expecting. No plantains came with the Snapper and Oxtail dinners. The oxtais were under cooked and not tender. I also did not like the Snapper dinner flavor and the okra seasonings. The macaroni salad was cold Marconi with mayonnaise. I was expecting bake macaroni and cheese. Is this a Jamaican Restaurant? I don't think so because the seasoning tasted totally different. read more

Hands down this is one of the best Jamaican food spots in Brooklyn!!!. Over the years many Caribbean restaurants have cut back on their seasoning and food prep work. However, Caribbean Vibes remain with true island seasoning in their food and the portions are very good. Every meal comes with your choice of salad (toss salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, etc) and either white rice or rice and peas. I strongly recommend getting the macaroni salad with ANY meal on the menu. A dead giveaway that this restaurant has some of the best food in town is the long line and wait that occurs during the lunch and dinner hours. If your going to drive to the location try to go after 6pm to avoid meter parking. read more

This place is horrible and unprofessional. I've decided to give this place a second chance and I regret even going in. I stood on line and waited what seems like forever. A lady joins the line and starts complaining. As I wait for my order to be taken, the lady begins me is asked what she wants and one of the food servers starts preparing her meal. I go off because this is the pattern of this business. Don't waste your time, Exquisite around the corner is slightly priced but the food is delicious. read more

The reviews about the staff being rude is true, and that's pretty much how it is in most west Indian establishments I've been to, but I don't usually mind because the food is good. The cashier tonight was different from the usual stink faced girl we encounter, this one was actually nice and attentive. HOWEVER, the male staff who served our food, a tall dark young man wearing a Du-rag with a 3 letter abbreviation tattoo on his arm couldn't focus to do his job. There was a girl there he was too busy flirting with to even bother to attend to the other customers and pay attention to the food he was serving. I always order at least 3 plates whenever I go, and this time all of my 3 orders were dry and poorly made. Not enough gravy and pieces of chicken so small and burnt that I couldn't even chew it down. The two stars are for this specific visit - the food and the server. I didn't mind the rudeness before because the food used to be good, but when the food is like it is now, then its an issue. I don't see how the owner expects this business to thrive if they keep hiring people who could care less.. read more

i have purchased food from this restaurant multiple times before. It's usually very good or relatively mediocre. Today my fish meal had beef in it.
