Almost identical however the thing that it does differently makes that spot better than C&J's (with the exception of the jerk which in my opinion is better at c&j's) They have a larger menu which is much welcome improvement. I made a purchase but when I got home and started eating I noticed a long strand of curly hair in my food. The women would congregate together in the front instead of serving the food and moving the customers. If you're looking for Caribbean food with an authentic well seasoned taste this is a great restaurant to get food from. Unfortunately, I am forced to give it 3 stars because the systems and protocols in place as well as the customer service is subpar. If you aren't use to how they operate at this restaurant, one wouldn't know that you need to order first with the cashier. Once you order and pay, you then have to wait for one of the 6 people behind the counter to select your "ticket/receipt" from a stack in no particular order just for your food to be placed in a to-go dish and packaged to get you out of the door. Well this can take about 20 minutes or more, even though all food is usually ready and on display buffet style behind a protective glass. Many of the employees seem to be turning around in circles behind the counter and would be more efficient if they would form some sort of assembly line. As you wait for your food, chances are you would have built up so much anger and frustration from watching the disorganized staff and their inability to get your food shared and to you in a timely manner. Sadly, businesses like this will continue to stay in business with no improvement because the food is amazing. It is truly a poor reflection of the management team and the business should really examine their practices in an effort to strive for a more efficient system. Customers should leave satisfied by the service they receive while in your establishment, as well as the great taste of the food they have purchased. It is unacceptable that if you have ticket number 300 and you're staring at the food you ordered in the display, someone with ticket 305 is being serviced and leaves the restaurant before you.
