It was my second visit to this place. My dental hygienist was Nathan both times. He's very gentle, informative and knowledgeable. He was very knowledgeable with my dental condition and came up with suggestions. I would be happy to go back to him! In addition, certain of the week they open early at 0700, which is a plus for me to get my dental cleaning before going to work. The waiting area is on a smaller scale compared to places I've been to. But not that many people waiting both times I was there. So it was enough space for me. read more

As an extremely anxious dental patient with dental trauma as a child, I was so relieved to find just a wonderful dental center at Foothill! Dr. Roy is patient, explains things well, and offers excellent guidance. First time customer and scheduled a regular cleaning. Response and coordination with front desk staff was very easy. Received several mobile automated appointment reminders and confirmation which are nice. Upon arrival was warmly greeted and no wait time! Hygienist was ready to go right away. X-rays and cleaning went well and review with dentist were great; Dr Patel was very thorough and did not rush. My takeaways...very easy to schedule an appointment so quickly, price of services very fair, a very nice facility with plenty of parking, and most of all...a very friendly staff from start to finish! Great place! Everyone is very friendly, great first experience, and nice work so far. My first appointment and cleaning was done by Cary, I think? She was amazing. So friendly and professional, I felt in great hands. She did an awesome job on my teeth, even with a basic cleaning. The before and after photos were shocking. My dentist, Dr. Patel, is very good. I had a root canal and a crown and there was literally no discomfort at all. Not during the procedure, not after the procedure, not the next day... I couldn't even tell I had any work done. Very unprofessional. I had an appointment at this dentist's office and the doctor was not in that day but they did not inform me about this. After I checked in I was taken in by the hygienist to clean my teeth. After the cleaning I asked him where the doctor was and then he told me that the doctor was not in. I consider that very unprofessional behavior. If they had told me earlier I would have rescheduled the appointment. I asked the receptionist why they didn't inform me about the doctor not being in and she responded very rudely that it was a last minute change. She had a horrible attitude as if I had no business to ask the question. I don't accept their reasoning at all. They could have informed me at the last minute when they found out, they could have informed me when I checked in to their office, but they did no such thing. Appointment person is not particularly friendly or interested in new patients Mentioned new patient special from website. Which isn't dirt cheap or anything. "New Patients Receive a cleaning, exam, and x-ray for only $125" They said the next available appointment was 4 months away !! if You're looking for a reasonable wait time for a appointment, it's not here. I ended up calling Gentle Dental at McCarthy ranch and got an appointment for similar new patient within 5 days. Spent ~$1200 on filling and cleaning, X-rays there. Note. It might be the new patient special puts you in the back of the line, but found the wait list to be unreasonable. read more

I went in with an excruciating pain due to a tooth infection on a Saturday morning. I contacted them over the phone and filled out few forms for the same day appointment as a new patient emergency visit. Really grateful that I could go in for a check up in such a short notice. Dr. Roy and her staff are very accommodating and pleasant to work with. They were really patient with me and helped me ease the nervousness which would eventually make me gag a lot during the evaluations/xrays. The hygienists were also friendly and very kind. I really don't post reviews often but based on my experience here at Foothill Square Dental Center, they definitely deserve one. Never have I had such an amazing experience visiting my dentist. Right from entering the lobby to check in, all the way through the end of my visit. The staff in front are so prompt and respectful, every time I arrive there I was always acknowledged and my appointment is always on time unless they are extremely busy, in which they are great letting you know. My visits with dentists are always daunting because I don't like the feeling of drilling on my teeth (I don't think anybody does) and I always have to tense up because of my past experiences. I'll be honest, Dr. Roy worked on my filling today and naturally I was tense because I was just waiting for that inevitable sharp pain I usually get when I visit dentists for these types of services. As soon as she told my that my filling was complete, not only was I shocked and impressed, but I also relieved and ecsatic that I found someone who really knew what they were doing. On top of that, their level of care in this clinic is beyond what I've experienced from my prior dentists. They go as far as checking up on you THROUGH TEXT ON THE SAME DAY to make sure you are comfortable and not experiencing any type of discomfort. And this is not automated text, this is legit staff member reaching out to you. I know because I sent a text replying to their check in message, and they replied promptly and acknowledged my message. This clinic as well was SUPER CLEAN, and the staff are also EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL and really take the time to make sure you feel welcome. Honestly I felt as if I was talking to actual humans every visit, rather than a robotic staff that was there just to be there. I'm glad I was able to find a home here and on top of that, it's extremely close to home. The perfect dentist for COVID precautions! I broke my filling right before the COVID lockdown, so I got to suffer through the lockdown with a loose filling in my mouth. On top of that, I was well overdue for a cleaning because of my work schedule. Needless to say, I was eager to get in to see the dentist. Everyone that worked on me at this facility wore really good PPE (masks, face shields, smocks, etc). I didn't see any masks with side vents, which is great. When they were working on me, they put a device in my mouth to prevent my mouth from aerosol-ing particles into the air for others to inhale as well. This made me feel very safe. I had my first appointment this past week. Great experience and was probably the most thorough, honest, patient exam I've had. My technician was Ivy and she was great at explaining what was going on, tips for maintaining great teeth and gums, and helping me understand. Dr. Roy was very honest and open about everything. For example, another dentist in Milpitas told me I needed a filling and a replacement for a filling, as well as a deep cleaning. First of all, I just wanted to say that I know everyone have their own preferences but my visit today was not as good as others. I felt so nervous and uncomfortable being there. About six months ago, I got my deep cleaning done, which was great! It was with Carrie (I think), today I got the most insensitive dental hygienist, IVY! I've never met her, and I've been in this office so many times now because I got a dental implant and so on. Anyway, she made me so uncomfortable that I might not even come back here. But because I've already paid my implants in full, I have to. Her flaws were: sometimes her face shield would be up (others would always have theirs down, especially working near my face- we're in the pandemic), the way she got me so down that even my glasses were going down (like I was just closing my eyes because your light was blinding me), and finally the way she addresses things. I understand that my wisdom teeth have to be taken out, but damn you don't have to give attitude about it. She poked me a couple of times because she said that my tongue was moving and won't relax. I'm sorry, but you were gagging me and it's just a natural way of the body to protect me from choking!! You could have use a tongue depressor, for your sake! She said "I'm not gonna ask you again, relax your tongue". When I go to the dentist, I want to feel comfortable and not nervous (WHO DOESN'T)!! I hope she don't got anything, cause her dead cells were probably falling off me. Overall, others have been great the past few months since I've been going here! Dr. Roy, she's been really mindful of my situation and have been caring during my surgeries! She even text me to make sure I'm doing okay after the procedure. I love her as my dentist! Rosemary or Rosemarie, she have always take care of my billing, and I'm grateful because she breaks down every single transactions. Carrie, thank you for making me relax the very first time!
