Even though I live in San Jose, I don't mind driving to Milpitas because everyone here is so kind, patient, and welcoming. The team always takes their time and is very thorough with their work, which makes me feel comfortable and well cared for at every visit. Each visit, I was paired with someone different. While everyone was professional, the small talk often felt routine and repetitive, especially since I only come in twice a year for cleanings. However, one hygienist truly stood out--Jona. From the beginning, she remembered both personal details about my life and specific information about my dental history from previous visits. Appointments with her feel less like a standard cleaning and more like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen in a while, but can easily pick up right where you left off. Her attention to detail and genuine care are the main reasons I continue coming back, even though the office is out of network with my insurance. That alone says a lot. Dr. Nien sold her business a couple years ago and the office quickly changed. I missed the days where I just felt like a patiënt. Dr. Nien always gave extra care and even sometimes did minor procedures for free bc she wanted to go the extra mile. While I wouldn't expect this level of care from everyone else, it was big switch for sure. A few times I felt like I was being upselled on expensive procedures by the partners. It's clearly a business and feels like it unfortunately. A new dentist grazed my inner cheek with a drill. She didn't even notice and didn't remove the drill until I told her. This has never happened in my life. She probably is just starting out but it sealed my decision to look for another dentist. That said, there were some decent dentist there too, but I can't say I recommend this office anymore. read more

This is Gordon. I was a Sweet Tooth patient for ~ 30 years. After the transfer of the ownership, I went to the dentistry to report that one of my implant crown was broken (not bcz of any accident or unusual bite). It was confirmed by the office that it was still under warranty. One of the dentists gave an exam and said that he would check with the current management about the warranty. It took a long time, and after my inquiries, to find out that they refused to honor the warranty with very strange reasons, something related to the original payments including the insurance coverage for the crown. At least the reasons were not comprehensible to me. read more

5/5 - Amazing Team and Great Experience! Reasonable pricing (especially since we don't have dental insurance) and truly outstanding customer service! It was our first time visiting this dental office, and they were able to get my husband in for a last-minute Saturday appointment after his crown fell out after enjoying some Halloween candy--talk about timing! I had requested an appointment online late the night before, and by morning I received a friendly call back from Annette, who was kind, professional, and to the point. She explained realistic pricing and made sure we understood that final costs would depend on X-rays. She got us scheduled right away for 1:30 PM and even sent over all the forms to complete electronically--super convenient! When we arrived early, Daisy and Annette welcomed us warmly and got us checked in right away. Katelynne took care of my husband's X-rays and cleaned the crown efficiently (she made the whole process so easy!). Then we met Dr. Justin Chou, who was kind, patient, and explained everything clearly. He re-cemented the crown for now and recommended getting a replacement done soon. Daisy went over all the pricing options in detail, and we decided to move forward. Before we left, Annette came back to let us know there was a cancellation, so we could do a full exam and X-rays right then if we wanted--super accommodating! Daisy once again explained everything clearly, and Katelynne and Dr. Chou finished up the exam. They found one small cavity and gave us an estimate and timeline that made sense for us. They also accept Cherry (payment plan/credit option) and offer their own in-office discount plan, which we're considering. Overall, the entire team--Dr. Chou, Katelynne, Annette, and Daisy--made what could have been a stressful experience actually enjoyable. They were kind, transparent, and even funny, which helped calm our dental anxiety. This office truly goes above and beyond for their patients. Highly recommend! read more

The Dentist was professional and nice . The hygienist is amazing and gentle. The only complaint I have is that they split my cleaning up into two visits. They said it was what the insurance said to do, but I have a hard time believing the insurance company wants to pay for 2 visits to clean one mouth. Also, it came close to maxing out my insurance for deep cleaning, so their prices are high. Other than that, it was my first treatment from Sweet Tooth. Not bad. I think most dental practices overcharge. I will probably go back since they were nice and gentle for the most part. read more

An awful experience. I went in for a teeth cleaning, and the nurse insisted on me getting an X-ray. I inquired if it was absolutely necessary and whether I could decline. They replied I could, but I would need to sign a consent for an X-ray the next time. Afterwards, they became impatient and gave me unfriendly looks. Then, a doctor came over to say I must have the X-ray, which I again refused, explaining to the doctor that I did not see the need for it. Every X-ray requires biting down on a card forcefully, which is extremely painful. There was even an instance where it caused bleeding. Consequently, the doctor asked if I needed to see a specialist, leaving me bewildered as to why a specialist was necessary. "Because of the bleeding?" they said. I was speechless... In the end, I left without getting my teeth cleaned, unwilling to let them proceed... Do not go here for teeth cleaning. They lack empathy, focusing solely on making money, indifferent to the patient's feelings. I will not return here. read more

I don't have an issue with the dentist or hygienist here but I have a huge problem with whoever is managing their accounts and payments. It is super disorganized. The last time I received care from this establishment was April of 2023. Every time I've left my appointment I approach the front desk and ask explicitly if any payments are due or if I'm free to leave. I just received a phone call today in DECEMBER of 2023, which is over 8 MONTHS since my last appointment. The person on the other end told me I had a payment due and she'd be happy to take my payment information over the phone today. What? To whom? For which appointment? It's been so long, I don't even live in the Bay Area anymore! Apparently I owe over $100 for a cleaning that happened over EIGHT MONTHS ago? I never received a phone call between then and now, I don't even have an INVOICE, and someone calls expecting me to just blindly provide my credit card information over the phone then and there? I will not provide any sensitive banking information without seeing a proper invoice and explanation of the cost after insurance. Not to mention nothing was mentioned to me about this outstanding payment when I left the office all those months ago. I will gladly pay any valid dues but I hope this establishment realizes just how absolutely ridiculous this phone call was and how completely disorganized they seem. read more

The dentist that saw me was fantastic. She explained the process very well about what to expect for whitening. I would have given them a 5 star if they accepted my business. BUT, the whole reason why I chose this office was because they were open on the weekend. Then, after I let them use my insurance for the visit, they tell me that they cannot whiten my teeth because they need to reserve the chair for other dental requests than whitening during my only availability on the weekend. Excuse me? My reason isn't warranting enough money that it is denied for weekend availability? How does a business dictate which customers can come in on the weekend and which ones not? Sorry that my teeth whitening request was not higher paying. The weekend hours should be fully removed here because it is NOT a blanket statement. They do not accept business here on the weekend if you looking for teeth whitening. I would have expected to be notified of this at the time of making the appointment instead of brought in and then cancelled on after finding out my reason is just teeth whitening. BECAUSE, I could have went to another dentist using my exam available who does do business on the weekend, not just for select customers. read more

These ladies run a pretty tight ship. If you haven't tried sweet tooth for your dental needs you should. I went in for a crown and couple hours later it was all done. I have to say 3D printing has changed the dental game. I used to have to wear a temporary crown around while the actual was being made elsewhere, taking 2 weeks. Now everything is done in-house. Something about scheduling appointments for the dentist and dealing with insurance is quite unappealing for the millennial/gen z but I had a great experience here. I called on a Saturday and the receptionists were able to squeeze me in quickly as a new patient. Mind you I haven't been to a dentist for a cleaning in about 5 years so I was longgg overdue. The staff here are quick and efficient and I didn't have any problems. My hygienist Olga was so friendly and professional, I felt bad that she had to deal with me but you know it's a good cleaning when you leave with spaces between your teeth from all the plaque removal (no cavities though thank the lord). My past experience with teeth cleaning were usually painful but despite me not going for a long time, Olga's techniques were painless and she always checked in to make sure I was okay which I appreciated. If you've been procrastinating on dental health like I know most of us are, don't be shy. I'll be recommending this office. read more

I was a client since I was a young kid, now I have a kid of my own. I used to see Dr. Nien and she was great. But with the growing practice she seemed to have disappeared and each time I returned I saw someone new. I had no problems until well.. I scheduled a routine check up and when my baby's teeth sprouted they suggested I bring him in too. The day comes and the baby, well u know how babies can get. We were just not gonna be able to make our appointment. Sick kid and Keep in mind I would be traveling 25+ miles. there was just no way.. I called the office to tell them I couldn't make it and they said I would be charged a $75 fee for missing my appointment and that they were being 'considerate' by waving the $75 fee for my baby's appointment (UHM.. he had 2 teeth and THEY suggested I bring him along). I was furious. I reminded them how far away I lived.. And that I have been loyal to them for over 15 years!! The girl I spoke with was very back and forth on whether or not I would be charged. I got paranoid so I called back and said I will just come to the damn appointment and drag along my sick baby. This time I spoke with a different girl who reminded me that I shouldn't be upset or surprised to hear about their $75 cancellation fee as I was told about it 4 years ago. Why don't I remember this? Oh cause it was hella years ago.. ugh. You would think being so loyal for so long they wouldn't give me so much crap. I have always kept my appointments and arrived on time. I guess they have no exceptions.. Sad to say, I will not be coming back. read more

Dentists and hygentists are really nice. However the receptionist lady named Niki was rude with her talking. After fixing my teeth, I was talking with her regarding my insurance copay and next appointment. She did tell me " try to schedule something in the afternoon so that you can have a good lunch". I then proposed to schedule at 11am, then I asked to change to the afternoon. She then became angry and said " say, that is why I told you in the first place that you needed to schedule something in the afternoon. U didn't listen to what I just said". What the fxxxck, is she going order or command to her customers? Yes I did hear her saying " schedule something in the afternoon is better so that you can have lunch". Then I schedule something at 11am then think she is right and changed to afternoon. I am the one who is going to make decisions not her. Why was she so mean to the customers? I will still come back due to good dentists but recommend the receptionist change her damn attitude, she will ruin the business for sure read more

I found this dentist after my tooth was infected and I needed to find a dentist ASAP. I am kind of a big baby about going to the dentist. I don't like it and I put it off. Which is why my teeth are so bad lol. This place is amazing! Shoshauna is so good at scheduling you in and figuring out your bill to make the most of your insurance. Dr. Jessica is the best dentist I have ever seen. She's so gentle and careful and explains everything. They recently had a fill in hygienist named Brian and he was awesome too! They make needing root canals and wisdom tooth extractions not seem scary and awful. The best part, you can watch movies while you're getting work done!! You ever date someone so needy, so insecure that they need constant reassurance that yes, you still love them, yes they're attractive, etc? And they text you one day, but you don't see it, so it starts this entire spiral of crazy on their part. They end up sending a good twenty unanswered texts and when you finally answer it's to discover they have cheated on you and blame you for not answering the texts. 'But I said if you still love me, respond immediately and you didn't! So i thought we were broken up, but i really love you so let's stay together and.you can.forgot about that other person, they meant nothing!' That's this dental office. It's the crazy guy or girl that you are glad to leave behind. I made an appointment based off a friend's recommendation. That was three weeks ago. I then received emails and phone calls confirming and reminding me. About two weeks ago I called in my insurance information and confirmed my appointment. I then received confirmation emails and phone calls, this time asking me to confirm my appointment. About one week ago, I answered a call where I was asked if I wanted to move up my appointment a week because they had an opening. I declined and again confirmed my appointment. I then also spoke to someone four days ago to confirm. At this point I'm convinced the dentist is stalking me. Which, scary, but at least I'll have attentive service at my appointment on Saturday, right? Now I'm not sure exactly what happened. If someone forgot to click something on their system or what. But I know when I showed up this morning for my appt, they had canceled it and given it away. I was informed that they had tried calling me on Thursday and when I didn't respond by 10 am on Friday, they canceled my appointment. I have had more contact with this dentist office than my mother over the same time frame. But apparently three confirmations over three weeks is woefully insufficient. They confirmed that I had made the appointment and that I had spoken to them in the interim and they blamed the problem on miscommunication. I assumed they would work me in and I'd have a little longer of a wait. Annoying but bearable. But no, they just wanted to reschedule me for several weeks out. Given their apparent lack of understanding of what an appointment is and how one works, I declined. This is one crazy ex that i am happy to be leaving behind. read more

Had my first visit last month. This place reminds me of my old dentist in another state with new equipments and clean, bright facility and modern communication system (text/email/phone).
