Came into this office today to get my eye exam. They took me in on short notice to get me in before my insurance allowance ran out on the 31st. The front staff were kind and Doctor Jessica A. was awesome in explaining all the exams she was doing. The technology they have is jaw dropping. I've visited several optometrists over the years and the three visits I paid to Foothill Optometric Center were great. My first visit involved browsing a selection of frames and scheduling an eye exam (with dilation) appointment. The employee who helped me took the time to evaluate my frame needs, while checking the coverage limits for my vision plan. After I selected my frames I asked whether it came in different colors/ widths/ (face) fit and she checked her system and inventory for the product. My second visit involved the eye exam and dilation, which took over an hour from start to finish, but since I had already selected my frames and paid for those (on the first visit) they let me know that it will take up to two weeks to fulfill the prescription. My third visit involved the fitting of the glasses and to my surprise it was finished in just one week. Great/ thorough service as well as prompt turnaround (in comparison to another optometrist I used the previous year) is why I give this place 5 stars. read more

I'm a lens and crafters girl and have been my entire life. But recently I've noticed the selection of frames is just super BLAH. So after checking all the other locations plus Costco I found foothill optometric center and was blown away! The office is super clean and chic. Every member of the staff is so friendly and helpful, even with someone like me who try's on every pair of frames and asks to open the same case 5 times I never felt rushed, they took my prescription from lens and crafters with no problem and they take most insurances! Originally I went here because it was my local optometrist. I saw it got good reviews and I decided to make an appointment. Customer service here is perfect. Everyone is very friendly from the receptionist to the techs to the doctor herself. Dr. Supley is amazing. One of the best exams I have. I love her energy and how friendly she is. I've gone here for contacts and glasses and she is excellent with getting me the right prescription. Followup is great as well. They have a good selection of frames. I wish they carries a wider selection of men's frames and different brands but I always find something that works for me. I had just moved to the area and in need to new contact lenses. I did an online search of the area and several Optometrist came up. I called several places but no one had anything available. I finally called Foothill Optometric Center and they just had a cancellation. I took it and I'm glad I did. When I walked in the receptionists were quick to help and get me going. I literally was seen right away. They have advance equipment based on what I have seen at other Optometrists I have been too. Dr. Suplee was great. She did my eye exam and explained everything. Doctors here are excellent and very experienced. The staff is efficient and helpful. The wait time is usually about thirty min, but worth the while. I had to come here after receiving Lasik twice and the doctors who have assisted me with my eye diagnosis have truly saved me a lot of unnecessary trips back to the surgeon who performed the surgery. I have trouble with an astigmatism in my left eye and a group of epithelial growth followed by the lasik redo. It has caused trouble with my vision and I truly appreciate Dr Shaw and Suplee and how careful and precise they have been while I have been so worried about the outcome of this growth and how it's affected my vision. I just want to say that they have never hurried me along, always sit down for a very lengthy and thorough exam and always leave me with a reassured feeling that I am being taken care of and I truly matter. I was looking for a new optometrist since last year when my work changed vision plan from VSP to Blue View and my old optoetrist office didn't take Blue View. I decided to give them a try because of consistantly good reviews on Yelp. Everyone is right. Dr. Abo really takes time to explain everything and his office staff is very nice. Don't expect in & out exam though. Wait is short but it takes time because they are so through. They said they are looking into moving to bigger office because they got so many clients, so they might be changing location soon. read more

Choosing glasses is not at all hard with her you just give her an idea of what you want and she suggest tons of frames and will even be honest about which ones are a better fit for you. Last year I had my eyes check at the same Facility with another doctor but I was not satisfied at all .today i went there again but fortunately Dr.Ashley was there to see me .i have literally no words how much she is thorough in her work and checking up with her patients .she is very honest and she will tell you exactly what you need . This place is the Ooooie Gooie! The staff is professional and responsive. They treated me like a human. Weird! I had an early appointment at 8 and they meant 8. They, themselves, were just coming in, handed me paperwork and were opening up at the same time. These KATZ are legit. The optometrist there, the LADY, is the bee's knees! She answered all my questions and answered questions I didn't know I had. The check up was far more extensive than I experienced before. I learned so much, I even got glasses. I stopped at this eye clinic because I'd stopped at the REI store nearby to get some last minute backpacking gear en route to Joshua Tree. Every few months, I have to have one eyelash pulled by an optometrist, because it grows into my eye instead of out, the way it's supposed to. It's very painful, because it's putting micro holes in my cornea until it's taken out. Anyway, I explained my situation, said that I was a traveler, asked if they could possibly accommodate me. While they did offer to see me much later that day than I could stay, they also said they would charge $100, and treated me like I was a really sketchy and skeevy character for walking in off the street with a request for help, instead of the upright citizen and retired paraprofessional traveler and backpacker that I am. For that reason, I do not give them a top marks. They get two: one for being willing to see me later than I could stick around, and one for speaking to me however reluctantly. By contrast, given the same information, the Eye Clinic in 29 Palms charged me $25, and they could not have been more friendly, helpful, and full of helpful tips about things to do/see in 29 Palms. They're not remotely near each other, but the contrast was striking. Five stars for Eye Clinic in 29 Palms, for sure. read more

I called in because my eye was hurting and it was red. I got the run around at urgent care and at the ER a couple days before and my eye was not improving. I was able to see Dr. Murakami the same day. She examined my eye and was very detailed in explaining everything to me. She wanted to see me back in a wk, but since I'm leaving on vacation I wouldn't be able to. So instead, they were able to schedule me in on a Saturday right before I leave. The receptionist at the front desk are also very friendly and helpful. Before they called in my prescription, she verified the name of the current medication with the doctor. Once Dr. Murakami ok'd it, (within 15 minutes) they called me to let me know that my prescription would be sent in to my designated pharmacy. I love there attention to detail and will definitely recommend anyone to them. read more

We arrived for our appointment and were the only ones in the waiting area. Checked in for my sons appointment to have his eyeglasses adjusted and was told someone would be right with us. 35 minutes later and still nobody had helped us. The waiting area was now full and the front desk staff hadn't said a word about the long wait, hadn't explained why it was taking so long, nothing. We ended up walking out. Customer service is horrible and we will be going elsewhere in the future. I could understand if they were understaffed or having an off day, but communication with your customers goes a long way. If someone had explained the situation and said they had long wait times we could have rescheduled our appt. rather than sit there for 35 minutes with no explanation. read more

I can't not say enough about this office. I am super picky when it comes to healthcare and just having moved back home to Ca from out of state I was anxious about establishing care again. I had an eye emergency that didn't let me wait any longer and I'm SO glad I found this practice on Yelp. They were able to get me in same day and I saw Dr. Sjauw. She took her time to find the culprit and sent me home with drops and had me come back the next day to follow up. The next morning I was seen by Dr. Archambult and these women are just amazing. She double checked my eyes and even squeezed in an exam to get me a prescription so that I could go home with glasses as I could not wear contacts for a week. Krista was my optician and once again another queen. She was determined to help me find frames that were in stock and fit my face. She didn't rush me and went to the back and made me a pair of glasses to walk out with. Only took her about 20 minutes and I am so grateful. The lab that Foothill Optometric Center uses to fulfill orders is a little on the slow side, where sometimes it can take up to two weeks to get glasses back from them. So just be a little patient when waiting for your order to come in. Other than the lab delays, I was extremely satisfied in having my eye exam done here as well as with the process for selecting new frames. Dr. Sjauw was excellent when it came to explaining about the changes in my vision from last year, as well as with evaluating the overall health of my eyes. As others have shared here, all members of the staff are very friendly and helpful. After hearing about all of the potential options, the dispensing optician did an excellent job in helping me find a solution that fit my budget and needs. I will definitely be returning for my future eye exams. read more

Her helpfulness and quick response was enlightening! Took my review back from 3 to 5 stars! ********************** I was double booked for an appointment (that was in a couple of hours) and I had to switch my day. That's no issue, I understand these things happen on occasion, but originally the lady I spoke with was very rude and demanding as to having to switch. She said it was my fault for booking it online and told me to call back later to schedule an appointment. Why couldn't she help me reschedule then?? Only God knows! Long story short I called back once she hung up on me and another woman, Marina, was super helpful and apologetic about the situation and helped me book something for the following week at a convenient time, that wasn't already booked! so here's a shoutout to Marina for great customer service and in hopes that it was just a rough day for that other lady. Be forewarned, wait to use their online appointment booker or call that morning to ensure your appointment is still good. read more

I am so hesitant to find a new vision center. I no longer live in the immediate area so the drive is much longer, but here is where quality is.... When you arrive on time for your appt you are seen pretty quickly. I had pink eye, and then the next week my eyes were still hurtIng. I was scared I might still have pink eye after the first round of antibiotics, so I made an appointment with my normal eye doctor. They were so rude, and incredibly unprofessional that I didn't even keep the appointment - and this is an office I've been going to for over 13 years - anyway, that's a whole other Yelp review. I decided to go to my regular health care provider for the pink eye, - and since I normally wear contacts, I was forced to find place to repair my normal glasses because they were broken. I couldn't wear them to work because they were so bad. Hurt eyes and broken glasses do not mesh! I looked up the nearest glasses repair, and I found Foothill Optometric Center. I took my glasses in, they repaired them free of charge, and within the same hour they fit me into have an eye exam to see what was wrong wIth my eyes - why they were still hurting. The technicians were courteous, the ladies at the front desk were welcomIng and knowledgeable, and the doctor was and is amazing - Dr. Suplee really knows her stuff! I just left my follow-up appointment to make sure my eye was healing correctly. Because they worked hard to make sure I was healthy and my eye health was taken care of, I have move my entire family over to Foothill Optometric Center read more
