Fixed two broke glasses. 1. Frame front was broken - - he found a new frame and inserted the lens inside for $95 2. One temple was broken and missing so he found 2 matching temples and screwed them on the frame for free. read more

I had such a terrible experience with this business that I had to write a review. If I could give it less stars I would. I was looking for a place that can replace my cracked eyeglass lens. My eyeglass frame was still in good condition (Not broken, not cracked, etc) so I wanted to still use them and just replace the lens. I found this business through yelp initially and decided to check it out because of the great reviews. I come back to yelp to write the opposite. *Guy BREAKS my eyeglass frame within 10 seconds upon inspection and does NOT acknowledge that he clearly broke them until I mention it later. *Claims only partial responsibility for it (when it was clear that he did it) and after a somewhat heated debate, purchases a new frame and recommends that i use wood glue to fix my old frame. On the day of pickup over the phone, tells me he suddenly wants my old frame so he can send it to the company to get reimbursed. *On the day of pickup, after handing me the new glasses, I asked where the mirror was so I can try them on. With a SARCASTIC tone, he tells me where the mirror is. *After putting on both my old and new frames for a few minutes, Guy comes back and I ask him why my peripheral vision (looking from corner of eyes) was blurry while using the new glasses but perfectly fine on my old glasses (even with a cracked left lens). Guy gets LOUD/ANGRY and gets very technical with vision, refraction of light, etc. like I was wrong for asking about the blurry peripheral vision on the new glasses and proceeds to attack my character by claiming that I have crooked intentions, accusing me that I came with a broken frame, and that I was trying to take advantage of him and his business ALL WHILE OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE IN THE ROOM. I chose not to get loud with him. *Eventually after he was done getting loud with me, he walks back to the customers and tells me I don't care what you do. Do what you want. You can take the glasses. *I leave the glasses where he placed them and walk out WITHOUT the new frames/glasses but with my now cracked original frames. read more

I heard Walmart had a cheap eye exam and cheap glass. I went they charged $58 for the exam and they wanted $120 for basic lenses, not including the frames! I heard about Foothill Optical Service from the exam lady at Walmart. I decided to to call them and he said the lenses started at $45. I thought no way and then when i went he said mine were $65! Way better than $120. Pretty pleased. He also said they woukd be ready in one day and Walmart would take 7-10 business days. Will definietly go back to Foothill Optical when i need new glasses. read more

Guy is the Best! We have been taking my son to Guy since we found out that he needed Glasses in 2006. Guy not only finds the best price (time and time again) he also treats each client as if they are his most important clients. This place is great for Contact lenses, FASHION EYEWEAR, and low vision aid. You can bring the most bended glasses on earth over 100 times and Guy will fix them perfectly for free. He wont even except your money. The place is decorated like a so well its no wonder his long time clients pass by over and over just to talk over coffee. If you want fashion glasses for any age this is the local place to go!!! If you want colored lenses this is the place to go!!! If you have a little girl that wants cute stylish glasses she will love this place and the selection!!! Any time I thought I had a serious eye injury due to dust while driving he gives a professional diagnosic immediately!!! This place has INTEGRITY!!!!! One of the reasons why this place is so good is the person that runs it is actually was one of the Top Eye Doctors from Belguim. But here he is a Dispencing Optician. It is a small place and he doesnt have a good signs that credit his service and style. The hours are 10 am - 6 pm. The people that know him and go to him end up being customers for at least 10 years or more........... And he gave me the best prescription Calvin Klein sunglasses. When I wear these glasses people ask to wear mine but I tell them there prescription so I'm the only one that can wear them. I would recommend him to everyone in this area. A great small business. I was visiting from out of town and broke my glasses in half. I didn't want to spend a fortune and knew they could not be fixed but would have to be replaced. I ordered a pair of sunglasses online and they came damaged . I paid like 50$ for these sunglasses. I looked this business up on Yelp and decided to stop by to see if my sunglasses could be fixed . I walk in and the owner was EXTREMELY nice. He took my sunglasses and showed me the problem and came back with a little box of tools and sat there and fixed them on the spot , which I did not expect. He was explaining what was wrong with them and first thought they wouldn't be able to be fixed but then poof they were good as new, even better then when I first got them actually . We asked him how much for the cost of fixing the glasses and he said not to worry about it . Which I couldn't believe . I have never been to this place before but I will ABSOLUTELY be back .
