0/10 experience, i had called because i had lost my car keys and the guy said he could be there in 20 mins and give me a NEW key for $260, he showed up and right when he showed up I had found my car key, i had told him what the situation was and had told him he could keep $60 for the inconvenience of him driving to my house but to send back $200. He told me he couldn't do that because he had already "bought" a new key the best he could do was send me back $150 and at that point id rather spend the extra $100 and get this "new" key rather than loose $150 and get nothing. He gives me the key and this key is OLD scratched and chipped and was CLEARLY not "new" he refused to send me any of my money back so now i'm out $260 and have a old used key. I understand the inconvenience of him having to drive to my house but it took him less than 20 minutes and he scammed me. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. read more

We had an emergency need and requested service and quotes by phone. We were given an approximate 1 hour window for response. "Moe" arrived within 30 minutes, changed out 5 locks/bolts, made 5 keys and was done all within the hour! He charged exactly what we were quoted by phone, which was far below other quotes! Other companies were "Shady" with non-committal quotes and price ranges spanning over $40 PER lock/bolt ($35 to $75 EACH!). Moe was friendly, quiet, courteous, professional, clean and efficient! My good friend lost her keys and was frantic and paralyzed at the same time. She didn't know where to start to get things fixed. I had called on june 23 to get my key ignition cylinder replaced for my car gave me a price for 250 dollars then i called again today with the same company & they gave me a price of 400 dpllars!!!! Mike was awesome! I own and operate Cloudhaven Vapor Shop in Oceanside, Ca. My whole door latch broke on my business door, I called other locksmiths on Yelp, and they didn't answer or they put you through to a routing service, and you never know what you get with those. Mike answered right away and was out within the hour. He is very professional, nice clean uniform, and has a bad ass work van that has everything to fix any issue right there.(no running to the hardware store to get parts) He even switched the door lock to make it easier for customers which is great! He didn't try to price gouge, he offered different solutions and costs and let me decide, which I chose the best option to fix and it was appropriate, and cheaper than I expected. After losing the keys to our RV, Mike came out to re-key it today (within a few hours of calling), and ended up having to replace the entire ignition cylinder after trying to re-key. When he finished that, he re-keyed the doors, replaced the deadbolt, and things have never worked better. All this within the estimate he provided over the phone. Very helpful and quick to get to me! So it's been on my list now for quite some time to get a spare key made and either give it to a friend or hide it under my car. Before even getting their contact information I had made several calls around but they all hung up on me before fully understanding what was wrong with my key. When I bought my used truck they only had one key and stupid me never got around to making a spare. Terrible! I refused the service after speaking to the person that provided terrible service, and quoted a price 165 for a service everyone else was charging 85. I was going to use them because my AAA membership pays 60.00 toward a locksmith service. Ironically I Think they knows this because they charge 165-60= 105. So you will end up using 1 of your AAA Roadside assistance then pay an additional 20.00 on top of that. The technician was argumentative, and convinced AAA that I didn't need a service and not to get me going when my car was inoperable. WOW AAA said they would only tow my car. Thanks locksmith..... I called around it was 85$ from 2 local locksmiths to come and program an extra key and remote that I had in my car. I Realized I had AAA. The rep called Footthill lock and Security 1650 Ord way Oceanside automotive! They said 165. "WHAT"!!!! 165 to program an extra key and remote that I had in my truck. I figure it is a miscommunication so I ask to do a 3 way call, AAA, myself, And a representative! When I explained I had an extra key with a remote, and my alarm was not functioning so I could not operate my Vehicle. Could I drive it and start it if the alarm was working YES, could I get it to the dealership. Sure if i figured out how to bypass the remote. Well the remote is not covered the locksmith says to the representative at AAA. We only cover if the KEY is broken. HERE IS THE FACTS: The Remote, the transmitter, and the key are all ONE PIECE. My interpretation is that they could charge what they charge because I am a AAA member and they are under contract and can charge what they want!!!!! WOW, argumentative, Charged Double of what the other locksmiths in the area charge, almost triple what the dealership would charge, Ps. Called AAA back and they said they would send the locksmith, but would only send the same company. NO THANK YOU! 2 hours later and stranded I am writing this review to save other customers time and money. if you have AAA always think now these guys CONTRACT and don't care at the level of dispatch, and customer service. This should be a VIOLATION of a contract with AAA and I asked filed a official report internally to request them look back through this vendors charges, call local companies, and see if they can FIRE or TERMINATE this contract that is doing a massive disservice and Sum this up, he was argumentative. Told me it was untrue that the dealership would reprogram my key for 65.00 which they told me over the phone. Did not justify why he was charging 165 for a 85.00 service. If you can use a less expensive service they are out there! If you have AAA. They are in contract with this guy, and so basically they WILL over charge you! I requested an internal audit of AAA and their Contractors 69107. I really hope it happens. I did some basic MATH 80$ over charged per 1000 people serviced is 80,000$ That is 80,000 per 1000 serviced that is charged to customers and AAA....Wow!. Good luck everyone! Hopefully they change their ways and not be so entitled. Yelp if this contractor complains and begs for you to take this down! I implore you to not comply!
