I don't understand how they pass their inspection. They are very unprofessional and more importantly NOT a sanitary business. They are doing some illegal business but I will leave that topic alone. I hope one day an inspector will pay them a visit unannounced and shut this place down. It's cheap that's a true statement. If you get the foot spa and are in the middle of your massage the owner gets up and goes to the front to either assist a walk in or process a payment which you will be losing out on your time massage and they expect a tip more than $10.00. I will admin it looks a but shady from the outside and from the inside but this place is legit if you want an affordable massage. for $19.99 you get a 'foot massage' they spend 30 minutes on your feet and 30 minutes through out your body. the pressure of the massagers are fantastic, it was almost too hard but too hard that you enjoy.. if that makes sense. the $19.99 massage is in a common room so you will be getting a massage fully clothed and next to two people but if you dont mind that then you should check it out. There is an option for a private room but i dont mind the cheap and casual setting of the $19.99 massage. But to begin with, It took awhile for my massage to start, I could hear the bar music and tv next door to me, the lady kept leaving me in the middle of the massage and was answering the phone and speaking loudly during my massage. Yes! SO FAR, this place is good-l highly recommend going there. Tony has good technique, $20 for a foot massage including the whole body...I love it! The place was clean, the background music was oriental and soothing. We could hear some outside street noise and some of the workers were making their food but it didn't take away from the experience too much. The "foot massage" recliners were a bit squeaky, like, whenever he pushed on my shoulder or whatever, the chair made a squeaky noise. Lol. I'll have to bring in a can of WD40 next time I go. When we got in, the manager asked us if we could pay first before our service. Majority of places I have been to always have you pay after but I left it alone and gave her my credit card. The massage itself was really nice. It was my first time ever having a professional massage. The lady that did my massage was really sweet. She kept checking on me making sure I was okay. However, after our massages my friend headed to the front while I went to the restroom. My friend only had $8 on her and was going to give it to the guy that did her massage. The manager stopped massaging her client, ran to the front and said "This is not a restaurant. We expect you to pay 10%" at this point, I walked out the restroom trying to figure out what was going on. The manager wanted us to pay our tip on our cards and we did not feel comfortable doing that and we told her we would go to the liquor store to get cash and she had a complete fit and gave us an attitude. I almost did not want to go back in there and even bother giving a dime to anyone however, I did not want the poor customer service from management to effect the job well done that my masseuse did. I came here for a 30 minute foot massage, because I wore high heels for 8 hours and my feet were killing me. I got a male masseuse I usually prefered males because they are more stronger and their massages feels much better. It was my first time at this place at first glance it looks kinky and you feel a bit intimidated. However, once you go inside it feels peaceful. I stood there for 30 minutes the guy was professional and I never felt him touching me in a sexually way (unless he was just not attracted to me LOL) Anyways he also massage my head and thighs and all was done in a respectful way. Went in for the $20 foot massage and towards the end when I was turning to my stomach I was told to take my shirt off. I was skeptical but I thought this was normal so I did it. He covered my back in oil and kept pulling my shorts down leaving my butt half exposed. I am in the main room with three beds. He finishes my massage and wipes the oil off and I sit up to frantically put my shirt back on and look at my two friends I came with who didn't get told to take theirs off! My daughter in law and I had gone in for the $10 15 min back and neck massage x 2 there was room for her in the main room they put me in a room with HIM .. Walking in we over heard the woman working the front desk telling the people in front of us that her tip was not enough. When it was our turn to pay they snatched the money from our hands and basically threw out change back to us. They told us to go lay down in the room, when we did they came in to yell at us saying we chose the wrong bed. It came time to put our feet in the water, my mother was rolling her jeans up and the masseuse kept rushing her. At that point we redressed, got our money back and walked out. When we were done & we came out to pay, the guy told us it was cash only when it clearly says on here that this place accepts credit cards. I wanted a foot massage. I heard this place was under new managment so I decided to give them another chance, since this place is near my home. The beds that are used for foot massages are upholstered but have no protective sheet that is changed between clients except for the small face towel folded around the face opening.. I didn't realize this until I was asked to turn over and place my face in the face cradle. The uphosltered cloth had an unpleasant odor. The manager is rude as hell. I have been here several times. The people I have received massages from were nice but the manager ruins the experience. I one time paid in my card but went to give the $5 I had cash as a tip for a 30 minute massage and she demanded I pay more for a tip! I have been there when her point of sale machine crashed and I told her I would leave my license in good faith and walk over to my bank which at the time was a two minute walk from them so I could get her cash and she treated everyone like I was a thief and yelled at me to stay while she was on the phone having some kind of melt down. I've been getting massages for over 30 years and and I have had many different styles. I've had them in many different countries including China. I prefer the Chinese style of massage because if done correctly the masseuse will work the knots out and it tends to be a deeper tissue massage. This place simply is as good as it gets in my opinion. Just the right amount of pressure and there was extra attention given to the areas where the muscles was knotted. So of course I scheduled an appointment with a FEMALE masseuse. Some time during my massage (laying on my stomach faced down) a man came in and began massaging me. I was never informed that a MALE would be switching out until I heard a male voice say "okay turn around". I immediately looked up and asked where my female masseuse went. And he told me "someone had an appointment and there's no more females left" and so I said "I made an appointment with a female masseuse there's a reason why I specifically asked for a female masseuse" he then said "okay you get half price massage" and left. I assumed someone was going to come back and finish the massage so I waited. The man eventually came back in and I asked once more for the female. He said "your massage is done. You pay now" I asked "what do you mean it's done?" He just ignored me and looked at me like I was dumb. A woman masseuse from a different room was trying to say something to him and he yelled at her in chinese. So I knew he was pretty mad already. But as I was telling him that it's not okay to just switch a female to a male without telling the customer he kept saying "shh shh shh". So I put my clothes on and went to the front. I told him once again what he did was not right. He just kept telling me "you pay, you pay" and as soon as I said "I felt violated" the man closed the door so no one else could hear me then he began saying "sorry I speak Chinese I don't understand English" and just kept giving me this nasty look and telling me I had to pay. I felt hopeless and vulnerable so I paid the man. I left crying and called my mother who was across the street. She was livid and called the man and demanded my money back. As soon as my mom walked into the place the man immediately handed her the money and said "go go go" for her to turn around and leave immediately so no other customers could hear. I have never felt SO violated in my life. This place should not exist based off of this one experience. I was sexually violated. I was only in my underwear. I know that people say in reviews this place ha been raided by the Feds but I didn't see any problem with it. My friend brought me here and I had no idea what to expect. I walked into this open room and it was quite, just the right temperature and had some calming music on. I asked to use the restroom before and the restroom was pretty clean there was not any paper towel in the bathroom which sucked but at least my hands were clean! I put my stuff into a box and rolled my pant legs up. My feet where submerged into a bucket of hot water which felt great. I laid down and this lady started massaging my head, then arms, then a 20 minute foot massage which was awesome! I then turned around and had my neck and shoulders done, then some of my back. Let me tell you the best part of this.... It was only 20 bucks!!!! I've paid over 150 dollars for massages and they have sucked! This massage was perfect. It felt great and it really relaxed me! I gave a 10 dollar tip but still only paid 20 bucks for the massage which I didn't mention was an hour long!!! I highly highly suggest this place. I will be back many times. I received a gift certificate from someone who frequents Foot Spa. I was warned that it wasn't a fancy place but was told the massages were good. I went today and got the 60 minute foot massage, which also includes head, neck, shoulders, and back. My daughter wanted the full body massage but they ended up giving her the foot massage (don't know why). We were laying side by side on the beds which are lined up in a row in a DARK room. The room is out in the open. When the massage started, it was very quiet and Asian music was playing. Nice and relaxing! Midway through the massage, the two employees started talking to each other. Not relaxing! After a while, two new customers enter the place, and you could hear everything (door, talking). Our massage ended (because they had two new customers?). When I went to pay, I handed the gentleman a $20 bill for my daughter's massage and the gift certificate for mine. Out of nowhere a "Dragon Lady" appeared! She started wagging her finger at me, shaking her head, and saying "No! We can't take that!"(some of her words were in Chinese) I explained that it was a gift and asked why she wouldn't accept it. She basically said, "Anyone could print out a certificate that looked like that." I turned to the employee who looked helpless and he said, "She's a new manager".
