A little unusual in that Linda used many parts of her body to really get deep but I'm fine with that. She was up on top of the table in order to get sufficient leverage to get really deep. It hurt so good! The place is clean and looks nice on the inside. There is some chatter between the employees and since the hot towel warmer was in the room I was being worked in others came in to get hot towels for their clients. I didn't care but can be a little distracting for those who have a hard time relaxing. I already scheduled my next massage for 90 minutes. I will be a regular at this place.

The main reason for the low stars is we had a couples massage and our masseuses were talking to each other the ENTIRE TIME. There was even a few moments of them just laughing. It was extremely uncomfortable since it was all in a different language and not relaxing one bit. A more quiet session would make the price almost worth it but how uncomfortable we felt we decided it wasn't.

In their information online it said that our massage would be $120 and when we got there he told us it would be $140. When we asked about it he said they had new owners and had only been opened for three months. (Also their pictures online don't even match what it looks like inside) So we got the massage, which was alright I guess. I thought it was kind of weird that they had the man massage me and a woman massage my husband. The guy's hands smelled like cigarettes and they were really rough. After our mediocre massage they asked for a tip... which is not required. We decided to tip them $10, which we had to pull a $20 out of the ATM. My husband asked for $10 back and the guy said "are you sure?".... We said yes, and then he told my husband to "never come back again." My Husband asked what he said to make sure he heard it correctly. He said it again and got all in my husband's face and began yelling at him and acting aggressive. Highly inappropriate, do not waste your time here.

Although we needed a reservation, Sofia, the manager, was incredibly accommodating. She made sure she had enough staff available to take care of all three of us and was prompt with both her calls and text messages while coordinating our appointment. When we arrived, Eddie and Judy greeted us with warm smiles. Since Sofia wasn't onsite, they easily connected with her over the phone to help us redeem our Groupon, and the entire process was quick and effortless. My spouse and I were escorted into our room and immediately felt relaxed. The massage included warm essential oils and hot stones, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Eddie was my massage therapist, and I initially thought his pressure might be a little too strong. However, after I asked for a medium-pressure massage, he adjusted perfectly. Whenever I requested a little more pressure in certain areas, he listened carefully and customized the massage to exactly what I needed. He was attentive, professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session. My spouse thoroughly enjoyed his massage as well. We both walked out feeling refreshed, relaxed, and much better than when we arrived. They even offered us bottled water before we left, which was a thoughtful finishing touch. If you're in the La Mesa area and looking for a quality massage at a great value, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I also love that they're open late, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day at work. As always... you can thank me later!
