The woman at front was very nice, she offered me and my sister water. I had a 60 minute queen package, I was taken care of, the massage was at the perfect pressure and made me feel very relaxed. My masseuse kept asking if the pressure was alright which made me feel cared for, the hot rocks were at the perfect temperature and felt really nice on my skin. At the end of my massage I got 38 minutes in the sauna which was perfect for sweat and relaxation. At the end of my session they offered me water which was very nice, will be coming again! read more

I want so badly to like this place. It's close to where I live and I live supporting small businesses. I've had 3 massages here. One was amazing, and the other two were tied for the worst I've ever had. Most recently, I got a massage + sauna combo today after my back started spasming. I almost walked out of the massage. She kept using her elbow on my spine. I told her multiple times that it was painful -- bone on bone hurts, please massage the muscle (why do I even have to tell her that??). Every time I told her to stop, the language barrier got in the way of actually giving her feedback. I only stayed because I had already paid / tipped, and I was looking forward to the sauna. Again, I want to love this place -- but I don't think I will be back. Today was just too bad. read more

I have been here a several times and I would recommend to family and friends. Not a high end day spa so don't expect that. What I experienced was a purposeful massage that relived muscle aches and tension. The staff are very nice and I like how they communicate your needs/wants with you! Very important when getting a massage. My lady asked if I had any problem areas, what level of pressure I wanted and asked me throughout the massage if I was ok. The massage is ok to good. The walls are THIN. Last time I was there, I could hear all the grunts and groans and "ooh that's it" from the dude in the other room. He was loud, he might as well have been in the same room because there are no ceilings so sound does travel very easily between rooms. Think very thin plaster walls separating the rooms. It was obnoxious, lacking privacy, and it completely disrupted the relaxing experience of a massage. I would not recommend it if you're looking to relax. read more

I've tried this place twice and had the same experience with two different therapists. They were very hard with their pressure even when asking them to go lighter multiple times during the massage. Both times I've left the place in more pain then I went in and was left in sore pain for days afterwards. This most recent massage was a prenatal massage and she pressed really hard on my shoulders and then just felt like she spread lotion on the rest of my body. Then she waited for the tip afterwards and after giving her my tip she visibly rolled her eyes and stomped off in clear disappointment. Will not be going there again. read more

PROS: *massages are not all the same checklist and are catered to the person unlike other places *beds are very comfortable for long time lying down *pillow for head and feet provided (with more if requested) *very friendly and always ask if there is certain areas you'd like worked on more *have always been able to fit me in the day of CONS: they need music in each room instead of 1 source of music for whole place *i wish they would have a sheet to mark how hard and areas to work on that you fill out before your masseuse comes in. *i would love if they provided a towel for over your eyes when you're face up. I just got the best couples massage with my husband for Valentine's Day. He said it was the best massage hes ever had! This location is conveniently located in the Smart & Final shopping center. The prices are very reasonable and the massages are incredible! They do not have a lot of rooms with walls, there mostly curtains, but it did not hamper the ambience at all! I did not hear any disruptions during our 90 minute massage. I asked for deep pressure and I got the perfect deep pressure! My husband asked for medium and he said his was also perfect. The next time I go in, I might just get medium for a more relaxed massage, but this time I really needed those knots worked out! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning myself. Other Details: there are also options for clothes-on massages that focus on your feet, but also briefly cover other areas as well. These are located in the front, so be quiet when you enter the door from the beginning. Cash is best, as is typical for tips, but they do accept cards, with a $1 charge. P.S. I saw this place pop in Santee and decided to give it a shot since it's close to my home and it had high reviews. What a mistake. I love getting massages and all the places I go to are a bit further so I was looking for something more convenient. I decided to pamper myself and get the 90 minute prenatal massage, it was the WORST massage of my life! I am not one to have bad experiences and post them in a review, but I left so upset for wasting money, and tipping on top of that! (Because that's just how I am.) And I'm sure you're thinking, oh it's just a hormonal pregnant woman. NO. I've had my fair share of massages pregnant and non-pregnant, and I can honestly say this was the worst ever. I called the place in the morning to schedule an appt and they didn't pick up but I received an immediate text when they didn't pick up my call. It wasn't an automated text, it was asking if I needed to schedule. I asked if they had anything same day and they texted back right away to accommodate a same day appointment. So I was able to pop in within the next few hours for a 90-minute massage. I got there, it was pretty empty. I laid down on my side for my massage and the lady started to rub my back. Here's where the waste of 1.5 hours of my life started. She ended up being on her phone texting for half an hour straight behind my back as she rubbed me gently with one thumb, lightly just grazing the same spot on my skin for an initial 30 MINUTES STRAIGHT. I was so confused what was going on back there, and I was battling myself to speak up as I was completely baffled! She was literally texting with one hand bc I could hear the tapping of her fingers on her screen, and slightly just drawing a circle on my back lightly with her other thumb! She has me turn to my other side and I realize that was an entire 30 minutes of my massage! Then I kindly asked her if she could use more pressure, and she gently increases the pressure to rub more lame circles on my back with one hand while still using her phone with the other hand! And as I'm lying on my right side, I could see the clock and I was literally watching the seconds tick by SO SLOWLY as this was such an annoying experience! I hate that I'm not the type of person to express my displeasure bc this should've been one of those moments. And finally about 50 minutes in I asked for more pressure and she started to rub the crap out of my back, almost angriy, probably to make up for that initial lack of massage. Finally when she had me on my back to massage my arms and legs she finally put her phone in her back pocket and started to actually use both hands to massage, which was honestly mediocre at best compared to any other massage I've gotten in my life. I've had my fair share of massages in my life, especially when pregnant to alleviate aches and pains. This was by far the worst massage and the worst experience I've ever had. I don't know how this place has such high reviews, probably bc the other massage therapists actually do their job. But I would never come back and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I will gladly drive a further distance to have way better and relaxing experiences. I wish I could have given a 0-star rating for that experience. read more

I needed some "me" time and was looking for a quick massage that could support my ailing lower back and neck. I called Neverland Massage and was able to get an appointment within 30 minutes of my request. I opted for the $40 combo massage which is 30 minutes of your traditional foot massage (clothes on massage of legs, feet, scalp, arm and neck). The second half of the massage you move to a private curtained off room to undress. You will need to remove your top so that your back can be massaged with oil or lotion if you prefer. The combo massage is ideal if you were looking for a whole body massage that includes a focus on legs and feet before they concentrate mostly on your back. At Neverland Massage you can customize the type of massage you like (i.e. Thai, Swedish, or deep tissue) but by default the combo massage included more of a deep tissue massage of my back. We're talking elbows to muscle rubbing. This is great if you need to get the knots out of your body, but not good if you just wanted someone to rub lotion on you to relax. Make sure you specify if you don't want deep tissue. My massage therapist was very courteous she would consistently ask if the pressure was good. Overall the atmosphere is quiet and the massage therapist and the front desk person were all very professional and accommodating to my questions and requests for my massage. All foot massages take place in a large communal space with 8 massage beds. The reception area and foot massage area are separated by a sheer curtain. It's enough to block the sunlight from the street but it doesn't block any noise from the reception area. In some ways it made me feel safe because compared to some other massage places I didn't feel like I had to walk down a red lit hallway to a semi private room for my massage but at the same time noise could be a factor in ruining the massage. In addition, I felt a little weird that when I moved to the private area for my back massage. It's in the same communal room with some curtains separating it off. A little awkward that I'm technically getting undressed and only a small curtain is separating me from the rest of the space. Besides that, I had a great experience overall and will definitely be back. read more
