I've been coming to Happy Foot for years. Mimi is the Facilitator and Face of the business. She is a wonderful person. You can discuss your massage needs with her and she will choose the right person to help you. I've had a massage from most of the therapist and they have all been amazing. Lately my favorite has been Debbie. She is a tiny but powerful woman. I like deep tissue massage and Debbie really knows how to work deep into the muscle and get out the kinks. My advice for the first time Client is to let Mimi know what your massage needs are. Mimi will choose the Therapist that can best serve your needs and she will explain to the Therapist on your behalf. That way if there is any issue with the language barrier Mimi will help bridge the gap. If you prefer a man to give you your massage Kevin is really great as well! Honestly I don't know what we paid but we went in for a foot massage and it turned out to be sort of a whole body massage where this dude proceeded to try to break my limbs off. He was massaging my face and put his fingers in my ear holes. Strangest thing I have ever come across and I've had massages in some third world countries. Hole in the wall, kind of sketch but not as sketch as the one down the road was. On a scale of 1-10 sketchy I'll give it a 5 because we were there early enough in the day that no one was showing up for a massage plus (if you don't know what I mean don't ask). Again. ONLY COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL ABUSED!! I had a very tiring few weeks of work with sore feet & I was excited to get a relaxing massage. I was so glad it was inexpensive too. I knew it wouldn't be fancy which was fine with me. But the minute I walked in I felt uneasy. This is because it smells like smoke really bad & looks very unkept inside. Then when Mike, a guy I asked for based on reviews, came to get me all sweaty, it made me wonder if he even washed his hands before starting to rub my face and stick his fingers inside my ears which is gross. HELLO, PEOPLE DONT LIKE THIS! So before that part though, when he first came into my room, he gestured for me to take my shirt off like 3 times, motioning with his arms like he was pulling a shirt over his head, before I said "NO!" That was very concerning making me pray the whole time that nothing bad would happen to me, as I was in a tiny dark room alone with him. Not much about this 90 min foot massage was good. Nothing was relaxing. It was hot in there. So hot that I was fanning myself with the sheet that I was covered with. I had to say like 10 times for softer pressure but it was like I was saying harder. He didn't know English and I have bruises on my spine, especially behind my neck. My ankle injury from last summer now hurts, causing me to limp again. In this place you literally get slapped, and beat. After an hour I was hoping it would end. I deeply regretted getting the 90 min one and will NEVER EVER go back. HAPPY FOOT, I recommend you get it together. You need to go to a real spa to get a massage so you can know what it should feel like. Especially your employees, because nobody wants to pay to feel abused!!!!! read more

DO NOT waste your money here. This place is dirty, smells like smoke (and not moxibustion smoke either), and whomever it was that massaged me was definitely not professionally trained. I would guess never trained period. I called about half an hour in advance to request "Jack" because the reviews said he was great. I got there, looked at the menu and decided for the price, I would up it to a 90 min foot massage instead of 60. I'm pregnant and I really wanted a good foot leg and shoulder rub. Man, was I disappointed. First all the upcharging they do. Whatever. It's still cheap I said to myself. Go ahead charge me to use my credit card, upsell me on better smelling oil. (Which was $10 extra come to find out, and he was so skimpy with it...) Then, they tried to make me lay on a bed. On my back. PREGNANT. For a foot massage. I was like no... I'm expecting one of those big recliner chairs like most foot massage places have. They made one up for me in the dirty room next door, draped all the pillows and the whole chair in new sheets so at least everything my face and body touched was clean. The curtains were stained and gross, the room was just smelly. It was hard to relax. The massage was a joke. This could not have been Jack. This was a frail old man who had zero hand strength, was shaking (I could feel it in his hands and hear it in his breathing), and did not speak a lick of English. The flow was clunky and all over the place. Just weird touching. I asked for more pressure several times and the only pressure I got was pushing on various bones which gave me bruises and sore spots. I'm actually glad he didn't even give me the full 90 minutes (skimped me over 15 minutes). I still tipped because the energy was weird upon exiting, but I will never be back and I must warn the Yelp world. DO NOT come here!! read more

Went in for a couples massage this morning, I'm not very impressed. Paid for 90 min and would be lucky if I got 60. She left the room 8-10 times when staff yelled at her, took at least 6 phone call and answered text messages. She burnt me 3 times, twice with the stones and once with the hot towel because she stopped to answer a text message. Im missing hair on my back and legs, because she forgot to wipe off the scrub. My wife had Jack and enjoyed hers, Maybe you just need to avoid the owner oh whoever has the phone. Will not go back, very disappointed read more

After about 7 mins of him massaging my head, we were interrupted when the door opened, and in walked a female masseuse to take over. She started the relaxing music on her phone but a commercial about having diarrhea came on. The music started after that. She can't even get the commercial free music?! Meanwhile my friend is in the midst of her massage with no issues. Half way into relaxing, my masseuse's phone rang. She answered it and made an appt for a customer!? What!!!!! This was just what we needed. Our family of 4 came here for a Family Foot massage and we were a 100% HAPPY!!! Our only negative was that we could not be all in the same room. BUT other than that it was clean, professional and pretty dam amazing! We will all def be back! Side note for the bad reviews this is an Asian foot massage NOT an Americanized spa so IF you are looking for that do not bother. They do ask if you would like your shirt off you can always say no- I took my 17 year old daughter & we both felt very comfortable. It was in a professional manner and I was lying right by her side. Been here many times and usually go for the full hour body massage. The hour is $50 which is cheaper than most spas in San Diego now. But guess it evens out since it is a bit of drive East of SD. The place is clean except I would not use the shower there, it's part of their laundry room and not clean in there. The lady masseuse are nice even though some lack English skills, but they know enough to find out how you would like your massage. You can also tell the manager beforehand on how and what areas you would like them to massage you. You'll get a full hour of relaxation. I usually tip minimum $25-30, which is my norm since it is a personal 1on 1 service for the hour. I have not tried the foot massage as I'm not keen on having a dude rubbing me, but if the ladies did, I would give it a shot. read more

They did a paraffin foot mask and they heated rocks under the sheet so the bed was nice and warm. I also appreciated being in a private room so it was dark. There was a kind of hot bag, maybe filled wax that was first rolled over my calves and feet then my feet were placed inside. It really was wonderful.
