As someone who wears size 13 shoes (or a size 14, depending on the brand), the selection in most…read morestores just won't cut it for me. Although I try to find dress shoes or sneakers elsewhere, I almost always include a stop at a DSW. That's partly because of this particular branch's distance to me, but also because the selection here is slightly better than going to a department store like Burlington where, while you do save more money, the assortment of shoes they carry is average and the condition of those available varies. Speaking specifically of men's shoes, this particular branch is heavy on oxfords (good) and boat shoes (...eh). The brands carried are consistent; you will definitely find Stacy Adams, Aldo, Cole Haan, Rockport, Steve Madden, Giorgio Brutini, Skechers, and Dockers; a few pairs from Florsheim and Aston Grey can be seen every now and then, too. As the seasons change, so does the selection. One service I enjoy is the online-to-store delivery. If what I want is not at this branch, I find what I like online and just have it shipped here. It's convenient and safe. The staff here is consistently friendly and always willing to give you the latest promo codes and monthly discounts whenever they're available. DSW is not necessarily my go-to spot for shoes, but I can always rely on them for my routine shoe needs.

Went in today looking for a pair of doc martens that are a little uncommon. Someone helped me…read moreimmediately and brought me the shoe but in white because they didn't have black. After I found the right fit they helped me order online with free shipping and it was even less than the Dr.Martens website (10 dollars less). They even highlighted my tracking info. They made the process super easy for me and better than guessing if I liked the shoe and ordering online by myself. I believe their name was Janayah!

Went inside and within two steps of entering - was immediately harassed by a young female employee to why I was returning the item. After each explanation I gave I was consequently further harassed to buy another pair or exchange the pair. Finally after 5 minutes of defending my decision I made it to the counter where the silent young male at the cashier looked at me with disgust while he opening the box of shoes. He snapped pictures of the shoes from probably over 10-15 different angles and was texting his boss back/forth while I stood there for literally 30 minutes. After standing there for so long he finally says "sorry can't do it it's been worn" ------ FIRST OF ALL the lady I bought them from SPECIFICALLY told me that as long as it's mild wear they can easily return it. Then this guy was like yeah the outside should be white and its beige. My dude, I specifically bought these shoes because it wasn't white. I wanted off-white shoes because pure white outsoles get dirty super fast and I'm not about that life. So unprofessional and rude. Did not even apologize for not being able to make the return. Please do not give Journey's your business. They are manipulative in their policies and extremely rude. I will forever remember this terrible experience of deceit and lies.

That's the last I saw of anyone, practically, until the cashier rushed out as I was waiting and apologized. Friendly kid (I feel old calling her a kid), got me rung up and out the door. I think I got my last shoe or two here. So it's not bad, not great - prices are around average. I think I'll round up from the 3.5 since it was a very short experience, I got what I wanted, and the old Sports Authority I used to frequent is no more.

I asked him for suggestions on certain sneakers- he could have care less. He made it clear in front of my friends we were not a priority and he was just down right rude. If I'm gonna spend 100 + bucks I want the experience to be worth my while and to have somebody who works there that is knowledgeable. I mean, if you hate your job so much and you don't wanna measure people and you tell them to just do what's best and you can't be bothered. Why then are you working there? Such a shitty experience.. these guys need to be trained on customer service and they need to be trained on their own product. Some of them didn't even know what a tennis shoe was or a pickleball shoe was. This is a very well-versed area. People should know what they're doing, want to be there or want to learn.
