Terrible customer service!!! Store should be shutdown. I'm a teacher and had my laptop bag with me after school and didn't want to leave it in my car in the ghetto parking lot to be stolen. I walked in the store and security nearly escorted me out since I had a back pack. They took my bag and held it at the register. And made me shop without it. Then they moved my back pack without my permission . Unprofessional and sketchy. They need to get there policy's in order. If purses aren't an issue than back packs shouldn't be either!!! Will not be shopping here again. hope it turns into a grocery outlet or an any other superior grocery store. read more

I just got here to buy some laundry soap and thought i had made it as it was 11:51pm. But unfortunately, i was told the store was closed but I did see customers inside cheçking out. This is the second time thisbhas happened to me. If this is normal FoodMax, please update your store hours to show the store closes at 11:51pm on Thursdays. Well now I have to drive all the way to Coffee Rd to buy some detergent from the 24hr Walgreens or at WinCo. read more

Very poor customer service. Came in to do some shopping and for my kid to use the coin star. Was told he couldn't turn in his 28.00 ticket to guest service at the self checkout because it was over 20 dollars and this line was for less than 20.00 dollars? Really do you mean 20 items or less or 20.00 or less? When I asked about it she then said because they don't have enough cash kept in those drawers as she proceeded to check out more employees. Mind you their cash drawers are 100-150.00 Do so wait in line as they have to isles open with six customers deep in each one but four self service open. This worker Lupe was at the register today. Gave my daughter and I the worst experience. I am deaf shopping for a pool party my family is having, and my daughter was interpreting for me, she accused my daughter of being underage (she's 26) and got upset when my daughter handed me my phone i left in the cart accusing her of trying to pay for the alcohol, because she assumed she was underage. My daughter offered to show her ID multiple times, and explained she was of age about 4 times because she kept giving us dirty looks and making unnecessary comments about her age. she was extremely rude and presumptuous about my daughter. The worker also refused to even look at my daughter's ID multiple times. Giving us an attitude the entire time my daughter tried signing to me which is her only way of communicating to me. We spent $311 here to have a discriminatory person help us not only rude about my daughter "looking young" and refusing to verify her IF to ease the tension, but also me being deaf but giving her the stink eye everytime she tried talking (signing) to me. my daughter asked for bags multiple times, tried easing the tension by offering her id and this woman's customer service was extremely rude. been coming here for years it's my main store and i love it but honestly this woman makes me never want to come back. very disappointed. read more

I've been living in the East side of town for number of years now yet, it was my first time to visit this store. I've heard different reviews about it so I was hesitating to shop here until I was asked by my mom to buy ingredients for a Filipino soup that she was making. I ended up coming here to look for a specific produce. When I got in, I noticed the cleanliness of the place. And as I walked towards the produce section, I noticed how organized the place is. When I reached the produce section it was pretty clean. I came here on Tuesday night, so I'm not sure if that's the reason. I can say that most of their produce where fresh EXCEPT for the Daikon (Japanese Radish) that I got which was old (didn't know that it was until I took it home and noticed the black color inside). Still, I might consider going back here to shop for my groceries. read more

Message for management: 2 checkers for a Saturday afternoon but two people in the self checkout sends a bad message and you're only successful here cause there's no other option for people to shop. The store is always really clean and the produce is good but you need to add more checkers. You'd have a much happier customer base. I won't coming back unless my wife forces me at gun point or to avoid risking any danger to my children. read more

This is just another grocery store. It doesn't fall under the category of exceptionally clean or inviting. The floors are exposed concrete. I sometimes feel as if I am being watched/stalked while there. Everyone seems to be constantly looking over their shoulder here. The trade off for the less secure feeling and the less inviting appeal is the lower prices. It is what it is. I don't have any qualms going here but it usually isn't my first choice. read more

Lately FoodMaxx is kind of hit or miss, especially produce. The last couple of times I've been there it seems as if they aren't keeping the shelves stocked very well...lots of missing items. Makes me wonder if something is going on. And, as always, a lack of cashiers. Last time there was ONE cashier and the line was really backed up. NEXT time, I'll leave my cart with the person by the self-check and go elsewhere. Yeah it will take longer in the long run but maybe management will add checkers to the schedule! read more

Left my ID when I was paying. Didn't realize until the next day. Called to ask if anyone had found it. The worker on the phone just said "I just checked lost a found a little while ago and there was nothing". I decided to go in and check in person. Jacob helped me at the customer service desk. Looked thoroughly didn't find anything but took down my phone number. Texted me the next day to let me know that it was found. He went out of his way to help out. Great customer service. read more

This FoodMaxx location is OK. It is the usual, and is set up kind of like a maze. They have a good produce section with lots of options, same with the meats. It is just really maze like and not a-maze-ing! Sorry. Couldn't Yelp myself. So they are well stocked and everything but it just seems hard to find stuff. I think the prices are pretty good but the isles are not well lit in many sections which makes the place seem more like a store room than a grocery store. It is clean and the staff are nice. You bag your own stuff here, which is OK but double bag heavy stuff because I've had their bags break on me a few times. Enjoy Foodmaxx! read more

Not sure why but when I come here it is almost always very early or very late. It has a large parking lot, no trouble keeping your doors undinged. The store inside is like any other warehouse store. Will is correct, it is maze-like. And that is somewhat annoying, when you are trying to find a few items and can only proceed in such and such a route. The veggies and fruits are good with excellent prices on the seasonal items. The meat is good prices and quality is OK. When I come both early or late, no issues at the front. I used to love foodmaxx now it seems whenever im in there they are swamped have 2 cashiers and self checkout which is always half closed or broken and self checkout is basically an area of no order no rules if you walk up to a machine that has decided to go haywire you are screwed because now the people behind you have gone to the machines that work and you get to stand there until someone notices you. Had the worst experience here . Express lane registers not scanning . Elderly couple with more than 20 items decided to play grocery store with their granddaughter . They were scanning items so low . I waited 15 min in line . Three checkers open at 6 pm when most people are shopping after wk for dinner . Lines started at cashiers and went all the way to the back where the freezers were . Finally another customer told the couple to speed it up . I called to speak to manager . I asked them to either open up more registers or start asking 20 + items customers to get in appropriate lanes. All they did was ring me up at the express lane attendants register . Oh n by the way I bought 1 ice cream cake , 2 liters of Pepsi , 1bag of Funyuns , 1 bag of dog food . Now I understand why people shop at Von's or albertsons . They have a 3 or more rule. They will open a lane if there's #3or more in a lane . I will keep shopping at FoodsCo on white lane , where they have express lane but has an actual cashier who checks people n their items . If I could give it zero stars I would. Went in tonight and got to checkout. There was only 1 checker and the line had to be at least 25 people ahead of me. Customer service didn't answer. Called 3 times finally someone answered and said everyone was on lunch. They opened another register and instead of the people in line going to the new register people that had just walked up got in that line. Then they opened another line but didn't turn on the light and again people just walking up got in that line. Gotta tell you the people standing in the original line acted like a herd of cows and just stayed in line thinking the checker would come and get them. Finally after I complained to the person who answered the phone, the people in the original line started moving into the other lines. Duh. Oh and yeah I didn't stay in that line I just went and got into an open line. What a stupid night. This place is worse than any Walmart that I have been too! read more

THIS STORE IS ABOUT AS GHETTO AS YOU CAN GET!!! I'm not really sure what part was more disturbing... Watching the little Mexican Kids jumping into the cooler and sitting on the cases of Beer with their feet on other cases while their parents just ignored what they were doing... Or the really fat Black guy who was wearing a white tank top reaching into the freezer and grabing a bag of frozen peas then wiping them all over the back of his neck and (YES) under his arm pits BEFORE TOSSING THEM BACK INTO THE FREEZER!!! The produce here is just horrible... NONE of it looks fresh... The meat choices seem to be bigger than some supermarkets... But I just can't see myself ever going back... For instance I went and bought some small cups of Pringles... You know the ones that have a plastic lid you can replace to keep what you didn't eat fresh... Yea, when I opened them at work to my surprise I saw someone in the store had eaten about 20% of the Pringles and put them back... So between never wanting a beer again because I'm afraid it will have the FOOT leavings of little untamed dirty footed children... A new phobia about accidentally eating someone else's forgotten chips... And a true TERROR, OF THE BLACK MAN'D PEAS!!! Yea, I'm NOT EVER going back to that pit!!! read more
