Both were very flavorful and delicious. My main dish was the coconut chickpea curry. I ate the entire thing. It was so good. I ended up buying some vegan sweets to go as well some chia overnight oats to eat in the morning before I fly out. The 1st time I went for lunch I was unaware that while the food is plant based, the sauces are purchased from the local club grocery stores. These sauces are so salty and unhealthy. :(. I thought that cauliflower and dipping sauces would be over the moon, sadly this dish was not finished after the first taste. :( The spaghetti was over boiled. The burgers with sweet potato fries is the better option. The buns are from a local bakery and delicious! Will I be going back? Sadly, the answer is no for lunch and dinner. Maybe for breakfast. WOW is all I can say. I've been searching for vegan spots while visiting the RGV for the weekend and FoodAmed popped up as one of the highest rated ones. I decided to give it a try and called in my order, the lady on the phone was super nice. I sent my mom to pick it up and she came back with a Can't Beet That burger, nachos, cauliflower wings, a juice with turmeric in it, and a little pan cake. It was all SO GOOD. What I loved about this food at the that it tastes like you're eating real food not fake meats and fake cheeses. My favorite item that I ordered was the Can't Beet That burger. I came to McAllen for work and it was hard to find a vegetarian dish anywhere, much less vegan! You can imagine my relief when I found Foodamed! I live in L.A. and travel for work so I have eaten at hundreds of vegan restaurants across the country and this place was top tier! Everything I ate was delicious and so flavorful, but what I loved most was that you can tell it was homemade using fresh wholesome ingredients ! I loved that they make their own meat and patties instead of the easy route like beyond or impossible. And they have a convenient market section with pre-made meals and desserts. I was able to stock up on food that I can easily heat up in my hotel room for the rest of my trip! I especially loved the black beans, the mac & cheese and the jalapeño burger! On the fence about this place. It's great to see more Vegan places opening up in the Valley , so that is a plus. Decor is not great. As another reviewer said, it does have a Mall Food Court Vibe. It has a section of books and Vegan goods which was interesting and a grab and go section. I had their cucumber, ginger, lime drink which was very delicious and refreshing, especially on a hot day. Then their mock tuna salad. Visually it was not very appealing - it was basic greens, 4 cherry tomatoes, then the 'tuna' on top like a sauce. But it was very tasty and I did enjoy it. It has some kind of seasoning that I could not pin point but it was great! The piece that was odd was at the end. The waitress brought us the bill and said - you don't have to tip but if you do, I prefer the tip in cash'!! My DH and I aren't vegan but we have different dietary stuff that always has us on the lookout for good vegan food. We've been wanting to try this place forever and finally did. We ordered the spicy black bean burger, Mediterranean plate (falafel pita), and cauliflower wings. We were disappointed We've had better black bean burgers, better falafel, better hummus.. I will say the ppl are SUPER nice and really want to make sure you're happy. The food just wasn't as good as we wanted it to be. The service was terrible and when asking for the sides the waiter did not disclose that they were an additional 5 dollars in addition to the 18 dollar entree. And with the bad service they as well did not disclose automatic gratuity leading to an ADDITIONAL 18 dollar tip to a waiter that refilled a cup once or twice with poor manners. Let me start off by saying this place is very interesting, and I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of strip mall dining. But I needed some good vegan eats and this place had pretty solid reviews. Me and my buddy came here the other day for dinner, and the first thing we noticed was the layout. It had a southeast Asian vibe with the decor, design and detail. It was like eating baby food! My husband's tex mex wrap had no flavor messy and fell apart in his hand. He couldn't even put the avocado on because the wrap was not holding up. Just started a vegan diet and it's been difficult to find many places to eat at. Luckily I found this gem and the food was delicious. The vegan nacho cheese is very tasty, doesn't even seem like it's vegan. I had the Tex Mex veggie wrap and I was not disappointed at all. It is so full of flavor that you forget it's vegan. Foodamed is 100% vegan with an extensive menu ranging from breakfast and then lunch items ranging from appetizers to sandwiches, burgers and Mexican cuisine. Tried redeeming some of the offers Yelp has on them and that was a bit of a challenge, but they finally got it sorted so hopefully it's not such a big deal for the next diners. Food looks outstanding and because it was takeout I only ordered a couple of gluten free Jalapeño burgers with sweet potato fries. I'll have to come back and give dine in a try! read more

I'm not a fan of regular nacho cheese, but the vegan nacho cheese and chipotle sauce were amazing! Unfortunately, the pancit was too salty. I'm not sure if they forgot they added salt the first time and added more, but I couldn't even finish it. My friends had pretty good food however (Mocktuna Sandwich & Tofu Coconut Curry) and the staff were very friendly. The parking lot was pretty empty but we figured the cold rainy weather had kept others away. Jordan was our waiter, he was friendly and very helpful. I went here with my mother who is neither vegan nor plant based, she ordered the Chile Relleno and I ordered the Pancit. My mother couldn't believe that the sauce on her plate wasn't cheese. She loved it and said she would return with my fathernd some friends soon. I really enjoyed the Pancit. It was very flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. Beats anything I've gotten at a local asian restaurant since becoming vegan. We also tried the cauliflower wings, which were uh-mazing! My only complaint is that there weren't more!
