There is really nothing else you need. Food, water, Alcohol, meats and everyday resource necessities. Bathrooms have a cipher lock. Workers will not provide you the code but will escort you to the restroom and open it. Security is present in front of the entrance. To exit, you must go through the cashiers, regardless if you are purchasing or leaving without an item for purchase. Compton is notorious for many things. Its like day and night from the outside to inside. Keep in mind that there is a metro station nearby. There are many rift rafts surrounding the area. This Superior is exceptional for sales of good. I recommend if you are nearby and in need to grocery shop. Prices are cheap and fair. Employees are helpful, as long as you dont give attitude. Again remember where you are at. Be kind and courteous. What's disappointing is that it feels like management no longer cares about maintaining the standards customers deserve. Just because people live in Compton does not mean we should accept poor quality food or lower standards. There are hardworking, educated homeowners and families in this community who absolutely know what quality looks like and expect the same level of respect and service as anywhere else. This has always been my neighborhood grocery store, which made my experience today especially disappointing. I am a nurse and had already had a long day working with and caring for patients. I stopped at Vons to quickly pick up a few groceries before an appointment. I had only a handful of items and was nearly finished at self-checkout when an employee approached me and stood extremely close to my left side without saying anything. She was close enough that I had to ask, "Can I help you?" because I had no idea why she was standing so close to me. Instead of explaining herself, she began handling and going through my groceries. I initially thought she wanted my hand basket, so I handed it to her. She responded that she was going to "help" me. I told her that I had not requested assistance and asked what exactly she was helping me with. She then picked up my package of andouille sausage and stated that it had not been scanned. I immediately pointed directly to the self-checkout screen, where the andouille sausage was clearly listed for $3.99. She stood there looking at the screen for approximately 30-45 seconds. After realizing the item had, in fact, been scanned, she dropped the sausage back down and simply walked away. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that she had made a mistake, and no explanation for why she had approached me and begun handling my groceries in the first place. I completely understand that employees are responsible for monitoring self-checkout and preventing merchandise from leaving the store unpaid. That is not my issue. As a longtime customer, I expect those responsibilities to be carried out professionally and respectfully. A simple, "Excuse me, I just need to verify an item," would have been entirely reasonable. Instead, I was approached without explanation, had my personal space unnecessarily invaded, had my groceries handled, and was incorrectly told that I had failed to scan merchandise. Once it became obvious that the item was properly scanned, the employee did not even extend the basic courtesy of acknowledging her mistake. This area is home to many nurses, healthcare workers, and other professionals who stop here before or after long shifts. Customers coming in after a demanding workday should be able to purchase their groceries without being made unnecessarily uncomfortable or treated with suspicion when they have done nothing wrong. After nearly 20 years of shopping at this location, this interaction was unacceptable and completely inconsistent with the experiences I have normally had here. I hope management reviews what occurred and addresses the employee's approach to customers.

Mary the cashier that is always on register 1 is so rude , I went today she made a big deal about me using a paper bag that someone else left ,saying that she was not going to lose her job over 1left over bag. When I was trying paying and the card reader said card error, she turn it so aggressively I was just over her attitude and her rudeness, it's not just today , it's every time that I go there I always avoid her line for that reason and as I've read other reviews I'm not the only 1 that feels this way about her read more

The employees at this place have no damn respect for anyone. The store is full of men catcalling every woman walking by and the security guard literally stands in the front of the store on her phone. Clearly the management at these stores don't care about anything other than their paychecks. I would avoid making any interactions with anyone and just do what you gotta do. Wonderful corner shop! The commodity small shop to my home to carry golden gates charming Chinese mode soy. Really of my love for the raw part important the modest .
