My family has been shopping at Superior Market in Compton since we moved here 5 years ago, but sadly the quality of this store has noticeably declined over the past couple of years. My mom recently purchased smoked turkey from this location, and after cooking it, the taste was foul and clearly not right. Food quality and freshness should never be taken lightly. What's disappointing is that it feels like management no longer cares about maintaining the standards customers deserve. Just because people live in Compton does not mean we should accept poor quality food or lower standards. There are hardworking, educated homeowners and families in this community who absolutely know what quality looks like and expect the same level of respect and service as anywhere else. I think i like the location better than the ones i have been to in Long Beach. I was here recently hanging out with one of my cousins. We stopped here to get some food for a barbecue/Slash barbecue we were throwing down. I love these grocers, We need more in Orange County. Anyhow we bough a bunch of food. I like this grocery store usually reasonably good prices sometimes leaving the competition they have almost everything you can ask for it is a place that makes fresh tortilla shells hard shells for taco shells and they press their own soft shell tortillas which is great so you can get fresh tortillas everyday has a bakery that bakes fresh everyday large produce selection and everything that you could ask for in the grocery store fresh meat market everything I would recommend this place to anybody looking to go grocery shopping save some money but also have some very good produce read more

I heard the cashier tell the lady in front of me the paper bags were free. She charged her for them and then gave her a credit. When I asked for a paper bag she told me the cost was $.50. I was outraged and asked her why she didnt charge the lady in front of me for bags and why did I have to pay? She just looked at me and didnt respond.
