    Enchiladas De Mole
    Jaime J.

I visited with a group of 6 and it was a solid experience. I ordered the Enchiladas de Mole and it tasted great, but it would have been perfect if it came with traditional Mexican rice instead of the rice that it came with. I would come back and would recommend others to visit!

Cute little place! The server is very nice and attentive, she makes you feel like home. Gives you tips on dishes if you ask what you would like to eat!!! We were craving bistec so she gave some tips!!! I ordered the beets/orange and carrot drink!! Need that iron in me!! And it was perfectly made!!! Sandia water is so good and fresh!!! It's real fruit!!! Ordered the tampiqueño plates and the 3 fried empanadas quesadillas "flor calabaza and cheese, and potato and cheese " and because it is Father's Day.. they were nice to give an order of fluffy pancakes with fruit!!! Queso fundido as appetizer with chorizo and flour tortillas was delicious The meat was so savory and tender! The rice was as fluffy and tasty!!! The empanadas were very good!!! Savory But omg those pancakes were fluffy and just tasty and creamy!!!

I believe this is one of the most underrated pure authentic Mexican restaurants in Houston. The dishes here are all thought out and served with fresh ingredients in a traditional style. No Fusion Here! Even a simple taco or quesadilla is outstanding. From the moment you walk in you are greeted from every corner of the room with a smile! Although, not the biggest restaurant and tucked away in the far corner of the plaza, this place is very welcoming and you don't feel over crowded. If you love traditional style cuisine come here and pick something different off the menu so your tastebuds can explore another region without leaving Houston.

Too expensive for just eggs, One server really rude yelled at me just entering because I sat on a table that she didn't want me to sit, so I stood up and stand for a moment and they never told me anything like "there is another table" after that they just told me look for another table at the end of the hallway. Never coming back to this place

The burrito was oily, bland and poorly wrapped - it fell apart the moment you try picking it up. There wasn't much filling and the rice tasted plain as well. The quesadilla and nachos was better but nothing special. They charge for water and have extra surcharges for "veggies" even though there wasn't much to begin with. I'm not sure why they would charge extra for something that should come with, but because of that the burrito and quesadilla is overpriced for what you're getting.

I was super excited to try this place, the food looked so good online, so I grabbed a few coworkers and off we went! When we got here, it smelled so yummy inside and I loved how bright everything was. The waitress was so sweet and nice, and very attentive. Now the food, we ordered the chorizo fondue for the table, flavor wise, was just ok. It wasn't super melty, so it was really hard to get out of the bowl, and it only came with 3 tortillas, there was 4 of us! So we ate the rest with the chips. The chorizo was good and came with pico to top, but it just needed more seasoning overall for the whole dish. Then I ordered some tacos. The menu looked like they'd be street sized, small, so I asked if I could order 3 and she said yes. I order 2 fajita steak and 1 barbacoa. She said the barbacoa was her fave and I can see why. This is the only one that was truly flavored the best, was super juicy and tender and melted with each bite. The fajita steak was overcooked and lacked flavor as well. I like the onions, cilantro and lime on mine, but it didn't enhance the flavor at all. I love little places like this, so I'd like to give it another try and try something different. Only other thing as a takeaway is that you're charged for chips and salsa, and the one additional taco I ordered was $9. $5.99 for a sing le taco and +$3.99 to make it barbacoa. The one taco was more than the two, so pretty pricey in my opinion.

Cute restaurant. The kids enjoyed their food.

Vegetarian Review: This is a unique little restaurant with a surprising number of options. I was there on 8/27/23, and we had a QR menu. If you scroll down far enough, there's a vegetarian section near the end. I think most of the items can be found on the menu images on Yelp; they just aren't separated into their own section. We had chips and salsa, chips and queso, cheese quesadillas, veggie quesadillas, chile relleno, tres leches cake, and churros. We ordered water, and they brought us bottled water. If you are bothered by plastic, you may want to specifically request no bottled water. I would have ordered a margarita for brunch, but they do not have alcohol. No biggie. They close early afternoon, so that seems pretty reasonable. The queso was warm, but not especially flavorful. The chips are okay, but you don't get enough of them with the queso or the salsa. The kids liked the quesadillas, which were all deep-fried. My chile relleno was pretty good. The salsa verde, a jalapeño sauce, was delicious. It is similar to the salsa verde made by Chilosos in the Heights, but slightly thinner. The tres leches cake was good, but the churros will rock your world. They were fantastic. Cute restaurant, nice people. I will return, especially for the churros!

The best authentic Mexican restaurant In Houston!!! I tried a new dish and was pleasantly surprised by its delicacy and texture. It was the Chile En Nogada recommend! I also bought one of their ground coffee bags. It was so aromatic and tasty in the morning

I have been coming here for the past few years and it always hits. Food isn't greasy and it feels like you're at your grandma's house eating her fresh food. Service is excellent!

So delicious, authentic Mexican food! Friendly people definitely coming back next time I visit Houston. (Came from Oklahoma)

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I'll admit that when we got there, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is a different feel. We were greeted and told we could sit where we like. What I eventually found both surprised and delighted me, and Nate's gets a thumbs up overall. Pictures are deceiving as I thought the place would be larger but it's a tight fit for bigger groups. There are only a handful of tables but plenty of character. It's also a bit grimey, unsightly and even a tinge dodgey, which may be a deal breaker for others but is an immediate appeal to me. Two things immediately standout when it comes to the food: the portions and the prices are outstanding. The offerings are as no frills as the rest of the establishment. The other surprise was how much influence there was from Mexican cuisine. Hash browns were the goal, but chorizo and chilaquiles were the bonus. Another surprise? The hash browns weren't as crispy as I would have wanted. It's entirely plausible that I came on an off day, which happens. However everything else was on point as my chorizo skillet was absolutely dynamite, pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, breakfast tacos were outstanding, and my eggs were perfectly softly scrambled. Even the bacon and sausage patties were delicious, which is a tall order considering it's not likely made in house. Lastly, as someone who drinks cold water like it's a hobby (#1), I'm especially grateful for the massive 32 oz cup of water, which is perfect for someone who drinks like a camel. The staff is not the quickest but they are friendly. Spanish may go further with most and they're not the quickest when it comes to greeting folks or cleaning tables. The food is the star and consider paying in cash. ____________ (#1) I'm thirsty.

Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
