I came into town for a bachlorette party for my cousin. I did not have time to get my nails done before I left so I figured I would give Folly Beach a try. Not only did I get what i was looking for (regular pedicure and gel manicure). I was completely satisfied with the service. They did not have may colors to choose from but heir attention to detail was impressive. I would visit this nail salon again should I find myself in a similar circumstance. I called at the last minute to make an appointment for a mani and pedi after driving from the Detroit area all night. They were able to get me in w/in a half hour. Let me tell you that was exactly what I needed. I had the pedi and the massage. Very relaxing. The people that work there are beyond friendly. I enjoyed the hour or so that I was there getting pampered and my toes and nails look amazing. I would recommend them to all my friends if I lived in the area. Disregard two year old reviews! This place is under new management and couldn't be better! I had recently gotten a full set somewhere else and it was a nightmare. When it was time for my fill in I was very hesitant. I read reviews across the web and decided that since all the bad reviews were so old I would give it a chance. I knew within five minutes of walking in that I had made the right choice! Chris dotes over his customers and greets and checks on everyone regardless of whether or not they are his client. He and Jenny, who did my nails, were very friendly and engaged their clients in conversation. I was offered my choice of soda or bottled water which was very nice. The salon was clean and had attractive murals on the wall. After a brief wait Jenny sat down and I showed her my nails and we discussed what was wrong with them. The acrylics I came in with were poorly contoured, varied in shape and length and had gaps between my nail and the acrylic. Jenny expertly re-contoured them, filled them in and fixed the gaps. I have acrylic nails that need done on a regular basis, as well as need for pedicures. They take their time, are highly skilled, and my hands and feet have never looked and felt better! I have tried so many nail salons in the area (Mt Pleasant, downtown Charleston, North Charleston, West Ashley) and none of them seemed to really get it right. Was visiting relatives in Charleston when I desperately needed an acrylic refill. This place was fantastic, well worth the drive for any skeptics. I've been getting acrylics for nearly 15 years, and hesitate to go anywhere besides my usual salon because the quality can be hit or miss. This salon, however, went above and beyond expectations. I have been here a total of three times. They are excellent. I love that they guarantee the gel nail polish for two weeks. I've never had to have them fix it, but it is just peace of mind. If it chips before then, then they fix it for free. It is a little out of my way but I trust them and while I'm over there I can make my way to the beach! read more

My experience was wonderful at Folly Nails. I'm a visitor to this area and he was very entertaining during my pedi and mani. Henry went above and beyond exceeding my expectations. He was patient enough and even offered color suggestions. We tried a few and I was not happy. He kindly removed the color and we found the perfect pink. Chris did such an amazing job on my hands. I came in on a whim for acrylics with teal polish on them. After he had shaped the nails, they looked so beautiful, I couldn't bear to have them covered up. So I asked for clear/pinky polish topcoat. They looked perfect and very natural. Also, he was very gentle. This was the first time I had gotten acrylics and it didn't hurt at some point. read more

We went on Tuesday, 9/15, to get pre wedding mani/pedis. We found reviews on yelp to help us with Selecting a salon as we are coming in from Virginia to get married in Charleston. My husband and I wanted to get out nails done and we had our 8 year old son, our 7 year old niece and my father in law ( who's in his late 50s) and this place was very welcoming and accepted all of us as walk ins. My husband and I were the only ones in our party to have ever experienced a pedicure. The kids were pumped and ready to try, but dad was a little harder to convince. We all ended up with deluxe pedicures, the bride and groom w manicures/ and my niece with nails painted. The pricing with tip was around $275, which for the service we experienced was not bad at all. Everyone we worked with on staff was nice, friendly, and spoke with you during the process. My father in law LOVED the pedicure and said he will do it more with his wife when he gets back to Ohio. The kids said they can't wait to do it again, they enjoyed the service but especially loved the massage chairs. If ever in town, we will definitely come back. read more

I made an appointment at Folly Nails based on the great reviews on Yelp. My experience was vastly different from the majority of the reviews here. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure. What I got was a severe cuticle cut on both my toe and finger! I'm now fighting an infection and a very swollen finger! Not the way that I intended to spend my vacation! The older Asian woman doing my mani/pedi was rushing and simply not paying attention to what she was doing. Quite unprofessional! Disappointed. Just moved to the area and was looking for my "go-to" nail salon. Called ahead, they could get me in "15, 20 minutes". Well I waited an hour. I appreciated sincerity in making me comfortable while I waited. Cold Beer. Feet in hot water. Finally, their nail tech comes over and I can enjoy my afternoon outing while daddy with baby. But the experience was very short lived. I don't know about you...but the REAL reason I get my nails done is for the experience. To relax. To recharge. Get my feet rubbed! But instead it was very rushed. When the guy started to paint my nails...I asked if I could please get the Deluxe, I wanted it to last more than 10 minutes. His response, "I have an appointment." Seriously? Wish that was communicated prior. Wish I could have enjoyed what I paid for, especially after waiting an hour. Don't over promise and under deliver. We were in Folly last week for my sisters wedding. My brother arranged for the ladies in the Bridal party and all the ladies that were down in our family to come get Mani/Pedi/Mimosas at Folly Nails. He went down to the location on two different occasions to speak with and set this up due to the fact that we could never get a call/text back. We had a 10:30 appointment for 7 people. When we arrived for our scheduled appointment there was ONE person working who already had a lady waiting in the lobby, one in the chair and one he was working on. How in the world was one person to do nails on 10 different women? I called the owner numerous times to see if we could reschedule, if more people would be showing up to work I also sent numerous texts and never heard back. I can understand if your employees did not show up but we should have still received an I am sorry phone call considering not only were we not able to get our nails done we lost an entire day of vacation by the time we called our ride to come back to get us. Very disappointed in the poor service we received. I WOULD NOT go to this place of business, you want your nails done, find a different place! read more

We just moved to the area from Washington, DC I research the local nail shops before heading out as I have been getting my nails & feet done for over 10 yrs now. I arrived and the customer service was great we were seated asap. The owner did a great job on my nails however the price was on the higher side... When it was time for my pedi I was switch to a younger lady who just did so-so job, I was really not happy with my pedi I even order the most expensive one and the lady forgot to do half of what was suppose to come with the pedi, PLUS NO massage!!! The paint on my toes could be a lot better I don't know if the paint was old or just her not applying enough.... I would go back however I will make sure i don't get her for a pedi again but I am still going to shop hop and see if I cant find a better place where you get what you pay for! I figured I would update my review after going here several more times. Every time I go here the staff is always friendly. The staff is very professional and I've never had an issue with my manicure or pedicure. I fully trust the advice and professional skills of all the workers. I recently got a gel French manicure and I absolutely love it! The staff never rush and make sure everything is perfect before you leave. The owner Chris is always smiling and very friendly! The prices are very adorable for the amazing work they do. The hours are great for anyone who needs to stop in after work. The facility is very clean. I honestly would never go to another nail salon. The staff and amazing work they do is worth it. I pass several other salons on my way her and I would never change nail salons. My manicure and pedicure always looks amazing!
