I recently came here with my niece for her birthday. She had a great experience -- the technician who did her gel nails was friendly, personable, and he did a beautiful job with a sparkly design. She was very happy with her nails. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. The technician who did my manicure seemed rushed from the start. My cuticles were trimmed so aggressively that they were bleeding, and the polish application was sloppy. When she finished, she immediately got up and walked to the back and never returned. I was left sitting there and had to pick up my jacket and purse and carry them myself to the drying table. In the process, I smudged a couple of nails. I tried to find the technician to fix them but couldn't locate her. At that point, I just wanted to leave. It's disappointing because the salon clearly has talented staff, but the inconsistency in service really took away from what should have been a pleasant visit. I hope management addresses this so all clients receive the same level of care. read more

Despite the very friendly staff, I cannot recommend this nail spa. The spa was very dirty, and there was a barking dog inside. My gel manicure turned out quite poorly. The color is very splotchy and uneven; the gel does not cover my whole nails, and is all over cuticles. I did tip the nail tech for completing the manicure, but I would not return here again. read more

Really like this clean and friendly place. The nails are done perfectly! I arrived at 6:30 pm and I was accepted. Yoo Hoo! It's hard to make many of the other locations during a weekday when you finish Kate from work. And I was welcomed. No murmuring or rolling the eyes, a nice gentleman, followed by another and finally my nail stylist all treated me with respect. I had a gel manicure and a pedicure. The massage part is only a few minutes but so awesome! The place is clean! I think when reviewing nail salons, the actual product you come out with is about the same- unless there is a grave error. My review is about their customer care, effort and cleanliness. 5 stars throughout. I'll be back! read more

I have been here a handful of times, and I have always had an extremely good experience. My nails always look natural, not super thick, and last a long time. Waited an hour for a walk-in because they only had 4 nails techs working. Kept being told "coming to you very soon." Wasn't offered a beverage or anything while I was waiting forever. Water in the foot bath was cold for the last 45 of my wait. When it was finally my turn, I sat in the pedicure chair then had to hobble over to the manicure area with wet toes to do the manicure. Most other places I've been to will have a tech do your finger nails while you're sitting in the spa chair. Nails turned out okay, but were not what the picture I supplied or described. Won't go back just for the wait alone. Other walk-ins kept coming in and waiting. Even a gal who had an appointment for 1pm didn't get to the chair until 1:45. read more

I've gotten my nails done regularly in NYC and decided to give this place a try since I just moved here. I would give my visit today 3.5 stars, but for nail shape I'll give 4 stars. I had come in asking for a design, if it wasn't possible I had no problem looking for a different design... in the end I settled for something just to finish my nails after a white French tip had been done that looked very sloppy. I will try a different nail tech next time recommended by the other yelp reviews. read more

I've been coming to Mimosa Nail and Spa for a little over 3 years now, usually for services before I go on vacation or an event. Benh and his staff never disappoints! From the Customer service, hospitality, attention to detail with shape, design ( and Mimosas ) is my reasoning to keep coming back. I typically recommend this place to my friends. Especially from it being family owned . This time in particular, I'm impressed with the time management and ending result! I originally scheduled an appointment a week prior at 11am, knowing I had to be at a wedding at 3pm that day. I needed services of a Mani/Pedi . After halfway through my pedicure, I started worry because I was on a time crunch and still needed to get home to do hair & makeup for the event. Realizing I should've made the appointment an hour earlier. Expressing my worry, Benh (who finished with his last client early) rolled his chair over to the pedicure station and started filing and applying my Acrylic! Just, WOW! Talk about service. I then finished my pedi and finished getting my Mani at his desk. I WAS IN AND OUT IN LESS THEN AN HOUR AND A HALF! Plenty of extra time to stop by Ulta and get some Last minute beauty supplies ! I just want to say thank you to all the staff at Mimosa for making every experience relaxing and stress free!! Plenty of compliments were given on my nails read more

My first time at Mimosa... I will be back! I was in a bit of hurry (unmentioned at first) but after a few minutes of them realizing I had some appointments a bit later, Van offered to have another lady work on my manicure at the same time (in the massage pedi chair!) so I could get going quicker. I came here because a lady recommended this place. She specifically told me to see Ben. I booked an appointment and went yesterday. It's a cute space with good music. I asked for cateye nails which I hadn't really seen done too many times before. It's a detailed process and Ben explained each step which was pretty cool. They came out amazing but unfortunately the pics don't do them justice since you have to see the color change in person. I moved to the area three years ago & had two awful nail experiences prior to finding Mimosa. A coworker suggested I check them out after hearing my complaints and I am SO thankful for it! If you are a faithful and loyal every two weeks nails type of person you can understand the importance of having your go to home nail salon. Mimosa is the place you walk in & never have to request a certain tech because everyone working there is top notch. I have so much appreciation for Bihn & the entire staff! They are professional, efficient, clean, and have all mastered the art of their skill. Long story short - if you're in the area and in need of the best nail salon, mimosa is it. read more

We called ahead because Saturday can be busy. They said they would be able to start right away and when we walked in they did. I opted for the exfoliating pedicure and a regular manicure. My husband did the men's pedicure. The service was through and satisfying. I really enjoyed the massage. He is always go along get along, but after he had paid I noticed his toe was bleeding! What in the world, that's a deal breaker for me. My technician wasn't great with trimming my cuticles either during my manicure. For these prices basic safety standards should be a minimum met expectation. I also had to ask her to repaint my toes because the polish was streaky. We also weren't offered anything to drink after being here for almost two hours. I spoke with the manager and he offered to have my husband return to put a band aid in it. He refused to acknowledge that being cut until a patron bleeds is unacceptable service. We will not return! read more

Booked online and checked in upfront on their IPad. Once in the pedicure chair I was asked if I wanted something to drink by the man who sits upfront. Very nice to offer, I declined. The cons: while in the pedicure chair I got the inclination that the technician was very new or just very bad. I've been getting mani/pedi for over 30 years and it's normally a long string of paper towel/ tissue weaved in between your toes. She broke off individual pieces for each toe, barely separating them. I came in flip flops, but she put the store cheap ones on me. I tried to explain but she said "no English" so fine, waste flip flops on me for 30 mins. Then came the manicure. Basic mani not gel or dip. She puts on 3 coats. Again, maybe this is something new that I'm not aware of but almost always it's 2 coats. She finishes, rubs my forearms with lotion then grabs a hot towel to rub my arms and..... my wet nails. Rubs them. Clearly they all smudged. I told her just to take it off and I'll do it myself but a woman next to us with no client at the time saw and stepped in saying I can do it quick for you. And that she did. Her quick version was better than what I would do at home (maybe) but was clearly rushed and not worth the $25 they charged me for it. I'm sure if you walk-in no matter the tech they'll treat you well. I like the aesthetic of the salon and it's clean with protective coverings on the wash basins. No free feet pics but truly, seek out "57" for a warm, dark cranberry color that he picked out! Great spot to get your nails done in a stitch!

I've had gel manicures in the past and they've been fine. This particular nail tech took a drill such as a Dremel and filed my nails down to nothing and I told him please don't do that. I went back to the nail salon and told what who I think is the owner and he berated me at first and then tried to be very kind, but my nails are shot and I have had them done before this trying to grow them out and had no issue. I just think it depends on who you get, but I would never recommend the nail salon because of the way the owner treated me initially and no refund and my nails are falling apart day by day. I've never given a review of a business before, so this is big for me, but my nails are hurting if you want beautiful nails for one day you can go there but if you want strong nails to last, I would not go there.

While I have been going to this nail salon for five years and brought this place a ton of business, the more I go, the more I realize how unprofessional this place truly is. Before going I always make sure to make an appointment, but somehow this never seems to register to the owner seeing as I have to wait for up to an hour before even getting seated in a chair. On top of this, prices always seem to fluctuate when it benefits them. However, I will say that my nail tech, Ni, is amazing at her job. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the owner. After putting up with this for years, today he decided to take it a step further as to yell at me... which I deem as extremely unprofessional. To summarize what happened: I notified him that I was coming in to get a nail fixed and then had to sit there for 40 minutes (which I usually never say anything about, but today I had somewhere to be at a specific time). After telling me he'd be with me in five minutes multiple times, I came to the conclusion that I no more time to wait. I simply said I would come back later and he decided it would be a good idea to get an attitude and yell at a teenager in front of the rest of his customers. After being a loyal customer for so many years, it makes me sad to say that I will never be going back because I will never be spoken to like that ever again. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this nail salon! I've been going every two weeks for months now and I've had a wonderful experience every single time. The staff is friendly and accommodating (especially when I have my 8 month old in tow ), and they truly care about giving you a great experience and doing a wonderful job. I love getting the green tea deluxe pedicure to help my feel fresh and rejuvenated.. it's become a must whenever I get a pedicure and I recommend it to everyone that I bring along with me. Also, Binh (the owner) always has helpful suggestions when picking out a color out of their amazing SNS selection. I've yet to be disappointed with any of his color recommendations. I honestly can not say enough great things about this nail salon. It's definitely the go to nail salon in Mount Pleasant! read more

Ben did an amazing job with my ombre SNS nails! He did them literally in 15 minutes. They were done so quickly and they were so beautiful! One thing that this nail salons' staff does differently than other nail salons is that they get to know you and remember you the next time you visit. They keep a connection with each customer. While I was sitting there waiting for my nails to be done, there were at least 5 other women who walked in and a different staff member knew their names and asked about their families. This salon has a nice warm/home feeling. I would highly recommend this nail salon to anyone and ask for BEN! I enjoyed my experience here and absolutely love my nails! read more

Went in for some birthday nails and I had to get a previous gel manicure removed. I proceeded to get a set of acrylic tips put with SNS on top with gel designs. I showed them a picture of the designs I wanted and it honestly came out better than the picture I showed them. They were so gentle with the drills. I have gone to other salons in the past where I left with cuts on multiple fingers and some nails having wonky shapes, but that didn't happen AT ALL here. It ended up being $82 without tip but they did such an amazing job and the nails have held up so well I really feel that it was totally worth it! Would definitely recommend this place. read more

I would like to keep this place my little secret, but that would be selfish... This place isn't your run of the mill nail salon. They offer top notch quality for the same price as their nearby competitors. Right as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile by the manager. He went over the top to make sure I felt taken care of and pampered. (He even offered me a mimosa!) The salon itself is very clean and elegantly decorated- not cheesy and cramped like most nail salons. Kevin did a superb job on my mani/pedi and made me feel like a Queen. I will definitely be going back! read more

I moved here in December and Mimosa quickly became my go to nail spot! They just re did the whole place and it looks beautiful inside. I walked in with some pretty brittle nails one time and sat down with Ben, he was honest with me and gave me the advice of letting my nails breathe, using cuticle oil and not putting anything on them for awhile. I appreciated his expertise and honest advice! When I came back with strong, long nails a month or two later he was so impressed at the change. It's really nice to find a place that wants the best for you!! read more

Mimosa Nails and Spa is the best place to go in Mt. Pleasant. I have tried many others, and Binh and his staff are all so great at what they do! Today, Binh did SNS on my nails with color 109 and they are perfect! I'm so picky about my nails, but Binh always makes them look perfect - great shape, thickness, length, and they last at least 3 weeks! Not to mention the pedicures are just as great. Every nail tech does a relaxing massage and precise polish. Everyone should go to Mimosa Nails! read more

Once again Binh did my nails with S&S. AMAZING!! Been going here for months and months and let me say, I am a picky customer. I only accept the best and as always he does the job well. Never had a bad experience. People and environment are amazing. He did red with a checker accent nail. The red also had black flames covering the tips. I got a full set of acrylic. For designs, you must use gel color if you want a design. I was in there for around an hour. Designs get quite pricey. If you get it with gel color it is $56 (plus any design prices) and regular nail polish is $40. But designs add a lot to the total cost. Over all, my nails look great and just like reference photo. read more
