Polly was my nail tech, and her kindness and attentiveness made the experience exceptional. She did a fantastic job and made me feel pampered throughout the session. We were a little put off by the girl more concerned with her phone than checking us in (I know... get off my lawn comment), but we were quickly shuffled to the back right where the pedi chairs were. The decor is definitely higher end, but I don't feel like the luxury feel was reflective of the prices. They were on par with anywhere else. This would definitely be a great spot and layout for a bachelorette party. I opted for the paraffin wax add on which I usually do. We got started and I have to say the tech doing my pedicure did an amazing job. She was very thorough with the massage (best part) and didn't skimp on the pedi details because I'm a guy (trust me, some places do). After a bad experience at another nail salon (different name, same owner) I decided to check out this shop. I called 5 days ahead for an appointment ... but when I arrived, they did not have my name. Fortunately, they were not super busy so I did not have to wait long. The salon is bright and well stocked with polish, gels, dipping powder, etc. Everything appeared clean which frankly, should be expected. I checked in at the desk with my phone number. (I already had an 'account' from the other salon). Christine did a good job, which again, should be the norm. I have natural nails... no acrylics, tips, etc. and use regular OPI or Essie polish. I also bring my own stuff ... protein, base coat, polish and hi gloss top coat. The cost was $25.00 which is way too high considering a similar basic manicure is just $14.00 on Long Island. Oh, well. I paid cash for which I received a 5% discount. I made another appointment which I saw was written in an appointment book. We'll see how this goes! read more

I've tried this place a few times. The first time the nail tech didn't listen to what I wanted. She shaped my nails how she thought they should look versus what I asked for and told me "They look better this way." They also tried to match a color I wanted and it turned out not even close. The nail tech did a nice job but didn't listen and was rude when I inquired about the color and shape. Another time I went it was fine.Still couldn't match the color I wanted and my toes didn't match my nails. Also not very friendly. Seems as though their customers inconvenience them. I also have gone with my daughter ans another time with a friend. They sit us across the room from each other even after asking to stay together. I like to go with a friend/daughter to socialize. The last time my daughter and I went was about a month ago to have nails removed (that they put on). Their menu states that it's 10.00+ to remove nails. They charged us extra to file them after removing them. I didn't get a manicure, simply a removal. I asked if it would be 10 and she said yes. When I checked out they charged me $15.00 each to take them off. They acted like they didn't understand me and said... no $30.. I'm not going back. They could be much friendlier and have better customer service. Understanding some English and basic customer service goes a long way. read more

My middle finger I broke the nail and she didn't match the other lengths to it. So now I have one nail that is way shorter than the other. Not impressed, especially for the amount of money I paid. I should have just drove to N Charleston and went to my regular nail salon. I guess that's what I get for trying somewhere new. Also, the dip layer is so thin it's definitely going to break after a week. She did 2 half coats of dip and two full coats of dip. Also, I have a speckle of some random color in my one nail. I came in on a Friday late afternoon with no appointment and in dire need of a pedicure. De Lux Nails pulled all the stops to make it happen! I was greeted immediately upon entering and was able to be seen in no time! The hardest part of course is picking a fun shade to enjoy -- they have a wall of all the shades you can imagine! Personally with autumn knocking on our door I was drawn to the warm orange, browns, and coppery sparkles. The lady was super sweet and I'm glad she handed me a menu, I tried one of their tropical pedicure editions that included exfoliating, moisturizing, hot stones, and a massage. She offered a mimosa so gladly enjoyed that while getting my feet taken care of. The design is tasteful, the salon is clean, and there's many stations for manicures and pedicures. Afterwards there's a station by the nail polish wall to have your hands and feet get nice and set, didn't know that was an option so it was neat to utilize while they dried! I was greeted kindly, asked which services I needed, and directed to the appropriate color stations to select a regular polish for my pedicure and a dip color for my nails. My technician, Harry, was fantastic. I had an idea for my nails, but couldn't find any good pictures online. He listened, double checked, and then delivered with expertise! Both my pedicure and manicure came out beautifully. The atmosphere was relaxed but fun, and the chairs were comfortable. The salon is beautiful, clean, well lit, and free of any chemical-like or harsh odors. The price was also agreeable. I've tried a few other salons since moving to the area and found this one to beat the competition by a landslide. if I could give zero stars I would. I went in on a Wednesday afternoon and immediately they were rude. They sat me down after I had picked a color and a backup to which they had neither and tried giving me something similar which was awful. instead of making me pick a new color they took it upon themselves to pick me out a color and did not ask if I was okay with the color. I find this extremely unprofessional and rude. I would not go out of my way to complain if my nails turned out good but they did not at all. they were rushed, they cut all my nails off after I told them to leave them long, and they are so bumpy, made me bleed multiple times, and just sloppy in general. My friend and I made appts here for DIP manicure and shellac pedicure. The girl that did mine was not the least bit friendly. She rushed me through picking out a color and seemed annoyed. I couldn't decide what I wanted and my friend suggested a different color. The tech said "you can listen to her" like "whatever". Super rude. I went for the pedicure and foot massage. The woman who did my pedicure was so distracted by the apparent ear bud she was having a conversation with, she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. She was unfriendly and brief. I asked her to heat up the water and it remained luke warm. I asked her to adjust the massage chair and told her I was very uncomfortable with the settings and she ignored me. She kept rubbing my calves with the grainy foot scrub meant for heals, which felt abrasive instead of soothing. I left with really rough heals. Instead of a foot massage, it ended up being a brief slathering of oils. Instead of leaving feeling relaxed, I left feeling aggravated. The place is impressive to look at, but you're better off going to a nail salon run by people who care about their customers. read more

I then spent a couple of years going from shop to shop trying to find someone good. Finally, my doctor told me she used Kim at De Lux Nails and was very happy. I went there, and have been extremely pleased. Kim is a perfectionist. I get the dip, and my nails look so good that I often have people ask me if they are real. I also get a nice, relaxing pedi, which is a restorative treat for me. The environment is inviting and welcoming. New and modern, comfy. I am settled in at De Lux for many years to come, and would highly recommend the shop, and Kim in particular. read more

Second resulted in in-grown nail that I am dealing with but ok, it happens. Went the day before Thanksgiving with my sister for regular manicure. Scheduled appointment and unfortunately got the owner/manager - we both got her even though we both had 3:30 confirmed appointments. She rushed through us both so that we were both done in under 30 minutes. No lotion and no massage, polish all over fingertips and cuticles that I had to ask be removed.
