I happened to park in the back of the store without realizing it so I entered through the back &…read morenot the front. Since I didn't realize it was the back door, I waited back there for 5 minutes for someone to come and greet me. The door chimed when I walked in and the door was unlocked so there was no indication that I was actually walking in the back and not the front. I walked up the middle aisle to see if anyone was there and saw an esthetician lying on the table in a wax room that I passed. I stopped and asked "did I walk in the wrong door?" No response. I kept going until I reached what I realized was the front. I didn't know it at the time, but the woman lying on the table that ignored me previously was to perform my bikini wax. I had to wait another 15 minutes for her to be ready for me. I assume she must have been on a break...which is fine...I have no issues with that. But another esthetician came out while I was waiting and offered to the woman up front to take care of my wax and the woman at the front told her no, that I was waiting for Kayla. Technically I was but I was a new client so I just picked a name when I was booking it online and it would have been nice to be asked "hey do you want to go ahead or would you rather wait". I would have most certainly gone ahead with the woman that was ready for me. Meanwhile, while waiting for Kayla to finish her break, the woman up front had ordered food and proceeded to eat while I was waiting, never having me fill out any sort of paperwork even though I was a newbie to this facility, which she knew because I told her when I checked in. She took a few personal calls as well which was very awkward & well honestly unprofessional. Finally, Kayla was ready...she came to get me and took me back to the room to be waxed. While she was in the room she asked me to disrobe from the waist down, leaving my underwear on. Um WHAT?!? She told me this was standard procedure. Never have I had an esthetician IN the room when I am undressing, nor have I ever had one tell me to leave my undergarments on. Fortunately for me this was my first time at the facility so I ended up getting my wax for free but I would certainly not waste my time going back. I had to stay after mt appointment was over to fill out the paperwork that I should have been filling out while I was waiting. Do yourself a favor & go right across the shopping area to European Wax Center...I have been there since visiting Ultraskin and they are FAR better in all aspects.

You end up believing the shows and movies (I ask you to remember the waxing scene in 40 Year Old Virgin..lol). It was nothing like that!! Jess was very calming and sooo fast. Sometimes you arent on the right hair growth cycle and you will see more hair coming back within that week. I have told so many people about how nice, how fast and how clean they are at Luna Wax. I definitely believe they have earned their 5 stars!!! Brazilian is only $30.You wont find a better price anywhere. Only bad thing is that they are closed tuesdays :/

When my last waxer left the salon she worked at, I had to find someone new. At the time, Corinna worked there too. I started seeing her after trying someone else first who I just didn't vibe with. When I started seeing Corinna, I immediately felt so much more relaxed during my waxes. The conversation with her is good. Nothing is ever awkward. That's pretty important to me when I'm that exposed. When Corinna decided to start her own business, I followed her to her new location. She rents a room inside of an OBGYN office in west ashley off of Charlie Hall (behind Home Depot). This is a nice OBGYN office, top notch. The Epicenter is what they call it. The bathrooms always awe me. They are well put together with nice sinks, big mirrors, and cool light fixtures. Great for selfies. The lobby always has a mini fridge full of mini water bottles. There is a bunch of chewy bars on top of that usually for snacks. I've taken some before. I don't think they care. Corinna is a great aesthetician. I get waxes from her and they are always done well. If you don't like your eyebrows, tell her when she hands you the mirror and she'll fix them. Initially, she asks you what you want done with your eyebrows but eventually she learned what I like and now she doesn't have to ask. I like coming here. I will continue to see Corinna at Wax Poetic for as long as I can. She has a website to book appointments on which is very convenient for me to use. She also has a referral program where you get 20% off for you and a friend you refer. She also has a rewards system. You get a point for every dollar you spend on services. Every 100 points gets you $10 off. That's a great deal! So go see Corinna at Wax Poetic next time you need a wax. Tell her Savannah sent you so we can both get a discount!
