My appointment today was for threading. If you have never experienced threading, twisted cotton thread is used to catch and remove multiple hairs at a time. Threading can shape brows or clean the lip line, for example. The location is clean, inviting, and comfortable. There's relaxing music and fragrant but not overpowering candles. The station is sanitized between customers and Jennifer works professionally and gently in providing her services. Great experience! read more

I happened to find yet another great family owned wax & beauty bar right here in The Brickyard beside McCann's Irish Pub. What a beautiful bright airy relaxing space with a modern flair. So the front section of the shop is dedicated to the hair salon & Jennifer the waxing queen is located in the back. This venue is only open a year in Brickyard but she formerly worked at Sola in Longpoint before she branched out in her own. I was fortunate to get an appointment a couple of hours after making an enquiry. Without boring you all of the intimate details, suffice to say she did an outstanding job. She is super professional, easy to chat with and reasonably priced. I loved everything about this facility and for sure it will be my go to from now on. Okay so I hardly ever write reviews for anything, good or bad, BUT Jen is so good I feel like she deserves a review. I'm from an area where threading is extremely popular and everyone who does it in the city is at least decent quality. Since I have moved to the south (Columbia, Charlotte, and Charleston), I have had a hard time finding someone who does my eyebrow threading as well as I'd like. I'm extremely particular and my eyebrows are tricky. I have bare/thin spots, extremely dense spots, and my eyebrow had color ranges from blonde to dark brown, and I have a scar I like hidden with my hair. Jen is the only person I trust with my eyebrows. She does an incredible job. She addresses all my issues with ease, and does a high quality job efficiently without seeming like she's in a rush to be done with you. 100% recommend Wink Waxing. read more

I got a sugaring Brazilian wax and she did an amazing job. I prefer sugaring over traditional waxing because I sensitive skin. Jennifer was friendly and professional. She did the wax in a timely manner. Will definitely go back in 4 weeks. read more

There is nothing more I could have wanted from my eyebrow threading appointment. The lady who threaded my eyebrows was so knowledgeable and so nice. She gave my eyebrows great shape, and the threading did not hurt at all. After the threading she rubbed on some anti redness lotion, and my eyebrows were good to roll out. Wink is easy to find in Sola Salons in the Belle Hall shopping center. There is lots of parking. Jennifer was fabulous. She is bubbly, patient, professional and efficient. She had a booked-full evening, but my appointment started right on time at 7 and I was outta there by 720.She was happy to chat about topics I brought up but didn't TRY to make me talk. She has music playing, it's well-lit and there was an essential oil diffuser releasing relaxing fragrances. I have had many waxing experiences, and my experience at Wink was by far the best. There may be cheaper options, but, ladies, if you want to be able to use your lady wares the same day as your appointment, Jennifer is the only place to go. I came here for the first time today and Jennifer is amazing! She has been a long time Esthetician so she really knows what she's doing. I have very problematic brows as far as growth and getting my shape right. Jennifer was able to fix them the way I like the first time and they were perfect, she will be the only one to do my brows for now on. She threaded my brows, I'm not a wax person and I feel that threading lasts longer. I also have issues with acne if I put the wrong products on my face etc. and I went in with terrible breakouts. She zapped my face and within a few hours, my face has almost completely calmed down so I can't wait to see how my skin looks in the morning!
