We booked two Deluxe pedicures at Luxury Nails Spa to treat ourselves for Galantine's Day. We had a fantastic service, complete with mimosas and attention to detail. The salon is beautiful open airy and clean. The technicians explained each step and make sure that our request were fulfilled. We really had a great time and I would highly recommend luxury nail spa. The salon is located in a strip mall which also houses Lowe's foods supermarket. There's plenty of parking outside the salon. I have tried many other places because I don't get my nails done regularly and typically just go if I have a social function or when I find a spare hour and need a recharge on some self love. Every time this location has had a welcoming vibe, it's always clean, they are honest if the wait is longer than my schedule allows, and quality work. I visited Luxury Nail Spa for a classic pedicure on a Friday afternoon, before a beach day with friends. The workers were able to get me in without an appointment, and I only waited a minute or two for a nail tech. The pedicure was great for my feet and grimey runner's toenails (no "before and after" pictures). You can also get wine or a mimosa, which was refreshing on a 98 degree day in South Carolina. The tech offered me a choice of polish, and I chose an ocean blue, since I was going to the ocean. She kept trying to get me to use a gel polish because it dries faster, and I finally obliged. When I was done and ready to pay, the gel polish was a $20 upcharge that the tech didn't mention. In addition, there's no price/service list on the wall, and the check-in ipad does not list that either. An upcharge isn't surprising, but $20 for a particular polish color is steep. They do offer a 10% discount if you pay with cash, which I did. The nail tech did a good job, but the upselling takes advantage of customers. I'm not sure if I'd return or if I'd seek out one of the many other nail salons on Bees Ferry Rd., as we have several other options. read more

Love this placr! I got scarred from pedicures last summer from another salon when a tech cut my cuticle too much and it bled. So I didn't go for a while...over 6months lol. I tried to do a pedicure at home a few times...it sucks....and yeah just decided it's time to try again. I got an apt on a Saturday afternoon. Got matched with Jay. I let him know my past experience and asked to be gentle. He listened! Got a wine and water was not too hot, very accomadating and attentive service. I've been coming to Luxury Nails Spa for about a year after moving to Charleston. Every experience here has been awesome! They are professional, reasonably priced, and always have availability. Normally the same two techs wind up doing my nails, but today the nail tech that did my SNS manicure was Bruno! Bruno was super sweet and did exactly what I visioned for my nails! The last set I had done were SNS w/ tip, which unfortunately didn't turn out how I wanted as I left w/ some scuffs on the tips, and polish all around my nail beds/fingertips. I understand things happen, and I felt terrible complaining since the tech at that appt. seemed skilled and good at his job. After speaking with the owner, Henry he was very understanding, apologetic, and told me to come back in a week to get them fixed for free. Today I came to get my nails fixed.. as soon as I walked and I was seated and offered a beverage while Bruno efficiently fix my nails and did an amazing job! The color/shape is perfect and I was in an out within 45min-an hour. Personally I feel like it's hard to find good nail salons and nail techs that provide good service and quality nails. I definitely would recommend Luxury Nails Spa, and I'll be returning next time my nails need to be done, requesting Bruno! Being my first visit and new to the area I followed the directions for the given address which led me to Ashley River Road. Parked and walked in the door which happened to be the back door, apparently. I walked In and immediately I was addressed by who I would assume to be the owner. He said "is this your first visit? And sanitize your hands and sign in". When I responded "yes, my first visit" he told me next time park on the other side of the building and not come through the back in a very, what I considered rude tone. After about 2 minutes I was told, again, to sanitize my hands and sign in which I had already done the first time I was was instructed to. I was taken back to the pedi chair almost immediately. I am super disappointed in my experience coming here. I just moved from Florida so I have been on the hunt for a nail salon here that can do my nails and this business was not right for me at all. I got there when they opened and it was me and one other guest at first. I have absolutely NOTHING but nice things to say about the lady who did my pedicure. She was amazing. The issue stems from my manicure and the overall attitude. I was never offered a drink. While I was in there every other guest who came in (approximately 4-5 other ladies came in) was offered soda or a mimosa or something but I never was. As for the actual manicure, I have been getting the exact same thing done for a year. The design is different, but I get acrylic tips with gel polish on top. (I would like to firstly apologize because I didn't catch anyone's names). I went in there with the picture of the design I wanted and was looking at the colors they offered and one of the ladies was helping me out. She told me they didn't have glitter that would fully cover my nail (I will post my inspo pic and what I got) so she kept looking and came over with a purple glitter that she said actually would work perfect for what I wanted so I was so excited. When I sat down to get my nails started the man helping immediately told me he was going to clip my nails super short. I asked if he could keep my natural nails on the longer side and he said in a very condescending voice "that's what the tips are for". I didn't know how to respond to that. As someone who used to bite their nails off and has been doing so good growing them out it really hurt my feelings that he would just cut them like that. He did a pretty good job at fitting them and getting them on but when it came to shaping they were supposed to be almond and they are very pointy on some and round on others. Overall just very uneven. They had a different lady do the actual design and she was going so fast that I had to remind her that certain nails were still missing the glitter accents. She also went to finish up my nails and put a BASE COAT on top and then left. I was curing them and told them that they were still sticky and the man who was fitting my nails came over but rolled his eyes while doing so and looked and confirmed that she messed up and put base coat instead of TOP COAT. He put the top coat on and as he did this he looked at me and literally said "have you ever even had gel before" as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I got home and my nails are just not good. They are not blended up from the cuticles at all, they are so thick. (I will put a picture to show you what I mean look at how it looks at the cuticle area.) There are also parts of the glitter gel polish that is still rough on the edges from them rushing while fixing the top coat. They are also very bumpy and look like bird beaks from the side... Overall it was not worth the almost $200 I spent. I am very upset and will not be returning. Beware. read more

This nail salon is amazing!!! Henry the owner did my pedicure and Tiffany, his wife, the co-owner, did my manicure. It is so clean and so efficient and a beautiful salon. It feels more like a very luxurious spa. I added a 20 minute massage to my hot stone gel pedicure and a 20 minute massage to my buff and shine manicure. It was amazing. Henry and Tiffany are the most professional nail technicians I have ever had. Henry has a special callus removing technique and treatment that softened my calluses back to what they were like in high school. Just in one treatment. I already booked another appointment because this one was so amazing. They stayed after hours for me. And because I had so many additional treatments I only left a 5% or 6% tip and they were so gracious Henry said whatever you give us is fine. That is the exact opposite of most salons that expect 20% for a crappy massage and a bad below-average pedicure! But, this salon really has caring people there. And they run their business well and they are a family run business and it shows! They are about having repeat customers and taking care of each customer and it's not about how much a customer tips. They are very gracious. I cannot recommend thm highly enough I drive by 7 to 10 other nail salons just to go to this one because the other salons are substandard compared to this amazing place. You will not be disappointed if you book a manicure and pedicure with them. read more
