My party was served by Sky and Anna, these young ladies enjoy discussing their clientele in Vietnamese. Unfortunately they were unaware a member of our party could understand them. If the quality of the nail work was up to par, that classless behavior could be overlooked, however my nails were incorrectly shaped and both hands are sized very inconsistently (my pinkies are drastically different in length). Even though I wasn't getting a pedicure, I was able to sit with them as they got pedicures. My friend was able to get her manicure at the same time as her pedicure! Incredible. I asked for a complicated design, and my nail bed is I guess too short to support the SNS with tips, because within a few days it was peeling up at the cuticle. Literally the worst mani/pedi I have ever gotten. It's big, it's bright, it's filthy. Old, forgotten iced coffees sitting around the waiting area, chairs are stained and worn. I was directed to a pedicure chair but hadn't picked out a color. I tried to ask, but they just kept urging me to sit down. I sat, they gave me a bundle of gel nail samples. The guy started my pedicure and I squeezed my large work tote into the chair with me, because the floor was dirty. He began a basic pedicure service but the heel/foot pumice part literally was like 5 swipes on 1 part of my heel. It did absolutely nothing. They asked if they could do my gel mani at the same time, which meant that I was twisted in the chair to give both hands at the same time. She shoved a pillow in my lap that was dirty and stained. She did the most half-assed job on my cuticles and cleaning my nails. Then did a base, 2 coats, and a top layer in literally under 10 minutes. She didn't even spend 1 minute per coat. My fingers were in the UV light for 20 seconds each round. Because of that, my $50 gel mani lasted LESS THAN FOUR DAYS. I got it on Thursday, it was already peeling up at the cuticle by Saturday. I peeled them all off in 1 piece today; it's Monday. The pedicure was so mediocre. I wasn't able to pick the color, they picked for me to "match my manicure". I don't want to match my manicure!! The color they picked was too white- I said something and they came back with a new color that was like, weirdly grey. My toes look like corpse toes. And in looking at them close up, they're not even painted evenly. It's seriously so bad. I paid $100 for a gel mani and regular pedi that all took under 1 hour. It was a sub-par experience that was the opposite of relaxing and resulted in terrible services. I will never go back and I would never recommend this place. read more

I like my nails long and when she showed me where she was cutting them, I was fine with it. She didn't measure when she was cutting the rest so they were uneven and ended up wayyyyyyy shorter than I was originally shown. Immediately I was pissed but I wasn't shown until they were glued and filing started. Pretty sure we can all agree that by that point it's hard to complain and do the whole thing over. $93 for dip nails? Sadly will not be returning to Nails So Dep. My friend and I got dip nails today and they were extremely overpriced. I had been twice before for only pedicures, and both times they offered free drinks, staff were friendly, and they did a fine job for a regular pedicure. However, today was my first time actually getting my hands done here. I asked for dip nails in a monochrome white. I'm happy with the outcome, but when the check came it was $93 when I expected to pay $55. I asked why it was more expensive and she told me that she also put gel on my nails. So she added gel on top of the dip. I did not ask for that and would have changed my mind and chosen something else had she told me these specific nails were going to cost extra! Now I'm stuck down another 40 dollars that could have gone to the current $4 gas. I am so disappointed. I would have rather bought $10 stick on nails. On top of this, they charged my friend an extra $7 for "special shape" when her nails were already almond shape when she came in. I've seen another yelper say this happened to them as well. They also charged her an extra $8 for french tip. Neither of these additional charges are mentioned on the website nor were they mentioned to us. If Chipotle can make sure you know guac costs extra, nails so dep should at least let you know when something is going to cost $40 extra. Will definitely be looking for a new nail salon. read more

At payment, I was shocked by the nearly $200 total for my acrylic fill and gel pedicure service. BUT fees like $15 for having long nails in addition to $8 "special shape" fee, among other hidden fees is unreasonable and bad for business. A day after paying $120 for a *FILL IN* (how is even possible) I developed a gnarly nail infection on my pinkie finger. They clearly didn't use clean tools and it caused my finger nail to lift, develop gross matter, and so much pain. After 2 weeks of constantly washing it out and treating it with the correct medical supplies the entire nail came off, taking my ENTIRE natural pinkie nail with it. When I kindly brought this to the owners attention he was dismissive and difficult. He wouldn't take accountability. He gave me a crappy $20 polish change on my toes to "reimburse" me. Again I spent 120... for the nails that got infected. This is not how a good business is run. Very disappointed and disgusted quite frankly. Husband and I were on a romantic/date weekend getaway and had some time for self care. It was my turn to pick our activity, so pedi time it was! Nails so dep rated well on Yelp - one of my criteria when finding new locations - was easy to find and seated us the moment we walked in. It was so fast I didn't even have time to browse the polish colors (luckily I already had a color in mind). They sanitized the seats before we sat down, and seated us in a secluded room. There are so many stations here that they can accommodate what seems like a lot of people quickly without sacrificing social distance. This place has phenomenal service! I am not one to get my nails done often, but I wanted to treat myself! I saw the reviews about free drinks so obviously I was excited to try it out. I walked in and was immediately seated and asked if I wanted a drink. I went with a mimosa and it really felt like a special day with mimosa in hand. I got the dip manicure and it was so interesting to see the process as I have never gotten one before. I've heard it is supposed to stay intact for a long time and not damage your nails as much. The whole process only took about 20 minutes because I have tiny little nails, but they said I could hang out in the massage chair as long as I wanted. I am very happy with how my nails turned out and it's basically an experiment to see how long they can survive my food & bev job. If they actually do last a couple of weeks it would certainly be worth the $50 (that's the cost without tip). I really wanted to give 5 stars, but full disclosure there was an employee who was not wearing a mask when I arrived. A fellow patron pointed it out and he did not put one on for the duration of when I was there. I have read the reviews and was told by friends that the staff always wears masks, so I hope this was a one time situation. The time after that, they weren't even or the same length and I mentioned that one or two might need to be replaced since they were lifting up and they totally ignored that. I brought it up and they said they were fine. Plot twist: it wasn't. I ended up having to superglue the corner back to my nail to keep it from breaking and separating. And I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again so this is the 4th set and they were fine but still didn't address the lifting issue after I brought it up AGAIN. I went in to have one of my nails fixed (it chipped not even 2 weeks after I had them done, literally while I was braiding my hair so I didn't slam it or anything and my nails grow VERY slow so they hadn't grown out much at all), I was made to pay full price for an entirely new set, and I'm still very unhappy with them. They're not even, not the same length, shape, or thickness, and they're just going to break again because they're not done right even after I corrected the tech on several aspects including the shape. I was told I'd have to get an entirely new set when 2 nails were lifting up at the corners. If they were done correctly, they wouldn't be lifting at all. I've had my nails done for almost 10 years and I've never had this many issues and I'm not doing any physical work that would damage them frequently. I've been very unhappy with them and would NOT recommend this place. read more

All three times the staff has upsold and hasn't delivered. This time was the worst. After 8 days, the polish is splitting on two fingernails and on one thumb, the polish started bubbling and changing color the day after my appointment. And my toes? One toe totally smudged. My manicures usually last 3.5 - 4 weeks. And I felt rushed to choose a gel polish color. I said I was looking for a neutral color. The technician kept pushing shades of pink -- even after I told her I never wear pink. I'm not going back and will try a different salon. I've been several times and never had to wait though appointments are recommended for groups. They even have a private room for just you or for your small group. I paid for the $56 pedicure jelly something which included the typical massage plus extra time, and callus removal. The lady seemed super busy but when neither the massage or callus removal were done I asked for both- the lady said I didn't need callus removal (definitely did) I don't mind paying for great services. Don't ask for a nail dip here, they'll put on acrylic and ruin your natural nails. They'll also over charge you. My nails were natural and already almond. I asked for a dip and instead of the cheaper & healthier option, they used acrylic with a clear coat on top and charged me $65. When I called to ask why it was over the stated basic dip pricing they told me it's because I have almond nails (I walked in with them shaped almond, so how is that relevant). I will never return. I will happily spend my dollars voting for Nail Palace right over the bridge. They're honest, use the healthier dip and do a MUCH better job. P.S.
