Sensitive skin?!? Waxed Salon is the answer to your hairy situations!!…read more Incredible experience yesterday at Waxed Salon. I found them through a Google and Yelp search with glowing reviews and competitive prices while searching for self-care places on my wedding preparation journey. Scheduling an appointment online through their website is easy and they have two locations for your convenience. When I walked in, the front staff greeted and checked me in promptly, the front area is inviting, space is clean and tastefully decorated. I came in feeling so nervous, almost on the verge of tears from how anxious I was due to how sensitive my skin is. Grace melted those worries away as I built trust from her expertise and care. Grace is professional, polite, and personable. Her gentle technique and mindfulness for sensitivity made the wax bearable. I appreciated her conversation topics and bubbly persona, it made me feel at ease. Her aftercare suggestions and knowledge make me confident in knowing I found an esthetician and salon that will strive to have the best experience for all clients in a judgement-free space. Aside - I also liked the sturdy waxing table they had..some places it's like a wobbly surfboard chair setup but theirs has a secure footing and thick padding. I liked that they played music. Wax is perfect temperature. Completely satisfied with my experience at Waxed Salon and will return. Highly recommend for those that feel nervous about waxing..Grace will make it less intimidating!

Vibe was quaint and cute, with the sweetest staff / esthetician. my own learnings were that I could have gone darker on the tan (more so me just learning their shades / nomenclature) . for others who spray tan often (enough), would note the LUXE Violet, as the one I got (one below this) is lighter than I expected (but also Sicilian and no stranger to spray tans)

I cannot recommend Totality MediSpa after two extraordinarily poor experiences…read more I was selected as the winner of the Totality Transformation, a promotion they ran for their Hilton Head Island location. I was told that the services that I selected were only available at their Downtown Charleston location so I made the two hour drive. When I arrived for my first scheduled appointment, I was turned away because no one had told me how I needed to prepare for the services. I did have a consultation appointment yet none of the pre-appointment information was provided or shared. Even the provider at the Charleston was surprised which didn't instill any confidence in this first-time customer. I made it known to their management that I wasn't happy to have wasted half of a day traveling back and forth to not have had anything done and they did apologize. A few weeks later, I arrived for a Botox appointment to the Hilton Head Island location. Not only was the provider 15 minutes late but I was told they could not access the product because no one had the keys to the refrigerator. The owner could not access the refrigerator! I was asked to leave and come back later. The follow-up response was a casual "sorry" text accompanied by a smiley face. After sending an email to both owners, I did receive an emailed response and a text message response asking me to call them. Umm, no. I am the customer and you have all of my contact information - you can call me to provide an appropriate apology. No one did. These are invasive, aesthetic services, and patients should be able to expect professionalism, communication and respect for their time. Instead, I experienced repeated disorganization, inadequate communication and a stunning lack of concern about the inconvenience they caused. If this is how Totality MediSpa treats someone chosen to represent one of its own promotions, I would have serious concerns about recommending this business to anyone.

I made an appointment here to get my eyebrows shaped and tinted because I've always wanted to know…read morewhat it would be like to have visible eyebrows that matched my hair. I've had an eyebrow complex ever since the first time I plucked them and my dad's first response was, "where did your eyebrows go?!" Anyway, I was a little nervous when I first got there because it's in a residential area and I couldn't find street parking and it was also a little difficult to find the shop, but I spotted the sign and pulled into the gravel lot I thought would just be for residents but there a little signs in a few spots that let you know you can park there for the eye candy location. That was a huge relief because I always hate trying to find parking downtown. The shop is in a little cottage tucked behind the larger buildings so it's super quiet and a really cute building. Courtney was who I had the appointment with and she was really nice and professional. I told her that I had never had the luxury and full eyebrows and she said she'd take care of everything and I laid down and instantly relaxed. The waxing was quick and not too painful she did a great job and she plucked the few strays and shaped them perfectly. The only time I'd had my eyebrows tinted was in England and it wasn't anything like this. My eyebrows were sharp! Once i washed my face and got the dye of the skin under my brow it was perfect. It was a pretty drastic change for me but everyone thinks my brows look great and really accentuate my eyes. I couldn't be happier with the service and I will definitely go back.
