I have been going to the same esthetician for over a year, never seeing anyone else. Well, that lady decided to cancel my last 3 appointments on me without even bothering to call me so I wouldn't show up at the salon. Needless to say, I needed a new girl. I checked Yelp for waxing salons near my house. I checked a few out. I liked the reviews for Waxed Salon so I gave them a call. The person answering phones was very polite. When I arrived for my appointment, I was a few minutes early. The woman working the front desk asked me to fill out some paperwork. I did so and then sat and waited only a couple more minutes before Brandi came to get me. I was nervous having a new lady seeing me down under but Brandi made me feel very comfortable. We had a good conversation going during the wax. I found out she started with cutting hair and realized she liked waxing better. She's been waxing for about two years now. When she was finished, she rubbed some witch hazel over the areas that got waxed. It did not hurt at all but probably actually helped ease any pain I would have had afterwards. I've had tea tree oil undiluted rubbed on me after a wax before and boy did that burn!!! I'm glad Brandi uses witch hazel. The cost wasn't much different from the last salon I was going to. It was $40 for a Brazilian and $15 for eyebrows. Plus, of course you should always tip your waxing lady! Brandi did a great job all around. The part I appreciate the most is how comfortable she made me feel. I didn't feel nervous at all, even though she was someone totally new, never met her before. She was friendly and relatable which is good for keeping your mind off the task at hand. However I don't know if it was the wax or the technique but this was the most painless and fastest brazillian I have ever had. The hard wax may be my go to. The salon was clean and trendy despite being in an older strip mall. The woman at the front desk was friendly and efficient at getting me checked in. Malerie came to get me to do my eyebrows not long after arrival and she was also very friendly. She asked me what I was looking for and I said some clean up and shaping. She did an excellent job and chatted with me during the process. I had noticed on their website that new customers receive 20% off their first visit but was not going to bring it up since an eyebrow wax is already fairly inexpensive. However, Malerie mentioned it right after finishing up my brows. She walked me up to the front desk and made sure I got my 20% off. Overall, this was a very quick, easy, and great experience. I needed a service that isn't typical and is pretty minimal (it didn't appear on the website). No problem! When I called, the staff was friendly cheerful and helpful.
