We were here for over 2 hours and the services rendered were rookie at best. The price was god awful. We made appointments for two pedis, a full set and eyebrow wax. Couldn't do the wax because the person that does that wasn't there. One of my wife got almond shape French tip with the chrome gel coat. Not only is falling nails, a complete and total rip off, but they changed their prices depending on how you look. If you look like a tourist or wealthy at all, then the prices are jacked up. The last time I went for a regular fill with no special request whatsoever or missing nails I was charged $82. I checked with several salons on James Island and they all charge $48-$50. I do not recommend this place unless you want to be ripped off. read more

Highly recommend seeing Chris for all of your nail needs! He loves what he does and pays attention to detail every step of the way. He did my acrylic full set with ombré and sparkles. They came out perfect, he kept making sure with me that I was happy with the length, cut, filing etc. they all came out straight and perfect. He is very modest about what he can do for designs but he's definitely a pro!! His ig page is full of really cool designs he has done. Amazing place! Fast, reasonably priced, friendly and super knowledgeable! I'm a cancer survivor and my big toe nails never grew back properly after chemo so I have to use acrylics. My salon in Charlotte didn't build the acrylics properly this time, leaving a small gap between the toe and the acrylic. So of course it got snagged on something and ripped off. We still had 1/2 our Folly Beach vacation left! Google and found Folly Nails. Henry replaced the nail and sealed it properly on my toe. Then he replaced the other big toe nail and matched the color perfectly! I will definitely be back when we are in town again! read more

I moved here to folly Beach nails at the beginning of July 2023. I have been getting the dip on my hands and they look amazing! The shape and the dip is nice and the dip is smooth and thin (not thiick or lumpy which sometimes can happen). They are always very sweet and professional every time I have been there. I usually make an appt but I have done a walk in and did not have a problem getting in. I definitely recommend Folly Nails! read more

My nails were dipped and while on vacation one broke. I decided to go to this place to have it fixed and while there I decided to have my eyebrows & chin waxed. The lady put me in a pedicure chair & proceeded to wax my neck & under my chin repeatedly without really letting the wax dry & harden & I could tell it was barely getting any hair off. Fast forward to the nail dip (BTW I decided not to get my eyebrows done!) She kept picking out colors that were nowhere close to what I was already wearing so I asked her to file my nail down so it didn't look quite as bad, I paid, and I left SMH. The next day my neck & chin began peeling like a bad sunburn. I could go on, but bottom line is I highly recommend not going here. read more

I didn't give it full stars because there were a few professionalism type issues...nothing really horrible, just preference. I don't prefer being talked around when I'm the only person in the shop. I needed to get nail glue... badly! My nail fell off the other day and I left it back at the house. I was headed out to get nail glue at the grocery store and had no luck. Soooo I figured I'd stop into a nail salon to pick one up. They were a bit hesitant, it seemed, to sell it to me... but the gentleman gave it to me for a dollar... I gave him two instead. Awesome place! We came here on the off season in January on a Saturday . My manicurist said it is usually slow during the winter. I was able to get three appointments for my friends 30th birthday. We had so much fun talking and hanging out, especially hearing stories from my manicurist (totally forgot his name). But he turns 29 today! My friend got the deluxe pedicure that supposedly Mimi (I think that was her name) gives the best. My gel manicure and pedicure only cost me$58. Which isn't so bad for charleston. My toes still look good and no chips. I just wish I could have gotten a better manicure. We were talking a lot and I don't think they did all the normal things like cuticles to help get the polish far enough back. Three days later and I already have a gap at the back of my nails. We did get to bring our own wine and drink it there so that was a plus! read more

I would give this -1 star if I could. My experience was absolutely awful. The technician didn't wear a mask until halfway through my manicure and I left the salon with two of my fingers BLEEDING. I am absolutely, unequivocally appalled by the service I received. I went here because it has such high ratings, but I would never, ever, ever recommend anyone else go here. Save your blood and money and find another nail salon. I beg you--please read before you consider going here! I arrived and asked for dip. The male technician (I didn't catch his name) wasn't wearing a mask. He sat me down in the chair and literally tossed the mail color wheel at me and said pick one out. I was thinking "okay, that was kind of rude" but just sat in the chair and picked a color. He started to push my cuticles back very forcefully with NO lotion or oil. I was wincing a bit, but I guess he couldn't tell behind my mask. When he was done with that, I asked him to put his mask on and he did. Then he started to buffer my nails with an electric buffer, but also used the electric buffer to I guess "clip" my excess cuticles. Let me remind you that my cuticles were bone dry at this point and he was so aggressive with the buffer that not one but TWO of my nail beds started bleeding!! All he said was "oh, did that hurt?" Umm, yes that hurt?! No apology, whatever. He didn't apply any antiseptic or anything to my nails, just dabbed the blood. After that, he put glue on my finger nail and pulled out acrylics. I said "no no no, I don't want that." He said "what?" I said "I just want dip." After a few back and forth of me repeating the service I requested over the phone when I made the appointment, when I walked in, and now at this moment, he said "oh I thought you said tip, not dip." He did the dip fine, but at the end I had a ton of gross gunk under my nails - a combo of dirt (he never scraped under my nails at the beginning of the manicure) and congealed dip powder. I explicitly told him that there was stuff under my nails and asked him to get it out, and he literally pointed to this sink and said "wash your hands and use the brush to clean under your nails." So, there I stood over the sink for 5 minutes scrubbing under my nails trying to get hard nail polish unstuck. Not only did I have to work for the manicure that I was paying for, but the bristles of the brush snagged my skin where he cut it open with the elective buffer and they bled again. Then, the service was $40. Absolutely ridiculous with prices posted no where in the salon. Let me just say I really, really just should've walked out. At every point I was just thinking, "okay, this is the last of the snafus. It'll be okay from here." But let me tell you, start to finish this was absolutely horrendous. I left with two bleeding cuts, very dry hands (he never did put lotion on my hands), and a hole in my pocket. My story speaks for itself. Do not go here unless you want to risk just one of the things that I experienced happen to you. read more

this place did an terrible job on my nails, i asked for a full set, he kept using drill attachments that are not meant for natural nails and he kept hitting my natural nail and it was burning. after i had left and looked they were lopsided and all different lengths. the nails were not smooth they had bumps on them and just over didn't like that place and do not recommend at all. the pedicure chairs are set on a wooden boards, they had little to none color choices. DO NOT recommend this place. read more

Worst manicure ever!! Not even worth one start. My cuticles were left ragged and I had to finish them myself. Not to mention one finger was left bleeding. The guy didn't even try to clean up the blood...just painted over it. He started with my pedicure which seemed to go ok, until a regular customer came in. (I had made the mistake of telling him I was on vacation). All of a sudden, he couldn't get me out of the chair fast enough so he could get to his regular customer. Hence the ragged cuticles and bleeding finger. I went here because of high ratings, but I don't honestly see where they would have come from, unless a regular customer.
