I came in for a manicure and requested acrylics. They told me I had liquid gel. I told them the nails had been on since the end of December. They should have taken these off and put on a new set. I trust the salon. I was charged extra for two nail repair which is not done at my other salon, $8 each, charged for the fill in and gel. They knew I had come in for the special and did not honor when it came time for check out. Do not go to this salon. Switch and bait. They should have honored the discount. My nails do not look $100 which is what it cost. It should never cost $100 for nails especially a fill in as they stated was my service. Bad business very bad, do not go! read more

Best manicure of my life, ombré gel builder with chrome finish. Fast but still well done. Shop is clean and the entire staff were so nice complimenting my nails. A little on the pricier side being Daniel Island but they lasted from the beginning of December to after New Years. And still could have gone longer. read more

Things that blew me away: The organization of colors and different brands of polish. Their collection is truly remarkable. I also really liked the pedicure massage chairs. The owners are also really nice, but not nice enough where I'm comfortable to complain about literally every single nail on my body. Things that make me want to give 0 stars: My hour wait after having showed up at my appointment time and not being made aware that it was going to be an hour. My nails are more poorly shaped than when I do them myself which is why I come for a nice basic mani-pedi every once in a while. To get back on track. I love the color that I chose, but since I got just the basic mani/pedi, I feel like the lady could have cared less about me. Including a really nice 20 second leg massage per leg during my pedicure and same goes for my hands during the mani. She also told me I could go after drying my nails for about 5 minutes but to just be careful and we all know how that ended.. They honestly do a much better job in West Ashley and are always thrilled to see my husband and I. Tried a nice spot on DI and it was very underwhelming. read more

Really relaxing, clean, well done services. Went on a Sunday and it was not too busy(which I enjoy). Good selection of soda water or beer on display in front. Wasn't offered wine but happy with a water really. The real reason to come here is the signature pedicure. $56 and tons of pampering. A cool jelly addictive to the foot bath, exfoliating mint scrub, jelly hydration, hot towel wrap, and leg and foot massage that will melt the tension away. I really hate posting a negative review but this salon gave me a pretty bad French manicure. I asked for a base color multiple times and was just ignored, you can see all the imperfections in my nails because there was no color. The white started chipping the same day and I had to go somewhere else to get them fixed. The workers also kept pushing gel on me which I didn't like and I was overcharged ($37 for a standard French manicure...) although the manager was friendly and helped me resolve this issue (refunded me $8..still a rip off considering the quality) Unfortunately I will not be returning. read more

I went in today and asked for my sns to be removed and a manicure. One hand the sns is fully removed but terrible manicure and the other hand still has sns on some of the nails. She did a removal and a 'manicure ' in 15 min. Was charged $15 for removal and $25 for a manicure. It wasn't worth any of it. read more

I went in to get my previous dip removed and a clear polish on top. The gentleman who did my nails did not listen to me, gave me rounded nails instead of what I asked for. When he finished with the clear coat he went back to organizing polishes instead of checking me out. I sat for 20 minutes waiting for acknowledgement so I had to turn the fan off, and walk to the front. Do not recommend coming here. read more

So, I've been coming here for 2 yrs. Mostly no complaints until the last couple of months. If I ask anyone to do "anything", like clip here or shortens there, I seem to get resistance. Very strange. Anyway, again, I asked the technician to clip a little shorter.. the manager walked over and I explained what I wanted. I was very polite. But, he said, "we are not doctors." I was not asking for anything unusual. And then he asked me to leave. Seriously? I really really was not rude in any way. So.. This is a really great location! The staff here is mostly young and hip so they know what is in and trendy if you're coming in for some cute nail designs! Also cocktails/drinks are given as well. Trying something new and made an appointment here with my daughter. I was pleased to see this nail salon open on Monday, which worked well with my schedule. The inside has recently been remodeled, everything was updated and clean. The manicure and pedicure was nice, I felt taken care of and enjoyed the experience. I wanted to love this place, this was my 3 visit, I won't go back. Didn't wrap my SNS but instead soaked them then used the drill. I haven't had a strong drill used on my nails in a long time. Needless to say my tech told me it was because my SNS didn't resolve during the soak so that's why she had to use the drill. I explained if she had wrapped my nails while I was getting my pedicure, they would have come off easily. They cut corners. For the $$ you should not be treated like this. Elegant Nails has been transform into Creative Nails and Spa. One of the first businesses on Daniel Island, Carmen, the owner, offered a local spot for manis and pedis. Creative Nails and Spa has brought the salon into the next phase. The new owners updated the look and the employees. Many clients asked for Jenny and if you were one of those you'll be happy to know she's still there. I visited the place during the transformation. Floors were being replaced as well as the nail stations and the pedicure chairs. I recently visited and am delighted that the remodeling had been completed. Now the owner can concentrate on customer care. And they do a good job of that. I had Dawn as my pedicure tech and was not disappointed. She did a great job on painting my toenails, but an excellent job on the "run" down. That in and of itself was worth the trip. I highly recommend having a mani and/or a pedi at Creative Nails and Spa. I'll go back for sure. read more

decided to try this place out and unfortunately was not impressed. This is the first time I have had a bad experience with nail polish. I got acrylic with gel and the nail polish they used was very low quality. The top layer keeps peeling off and chipping. Also, the tip is coming off already and I got them done less than 2 weeks ago. For me, the tip (fake nail) usually lasts for 2 months and I can get them retouched. read more
