This is a review for catering only. We've been here tons of times eating and it's always been amazing. We catered for birthday party and it was such a great experience. We ordered several salads, bread, sides. They sent two people on a delivery to set up the food which wasn't necessary because it was a small order. The food was warm, you could smell it as soon as you opened it. It was such a treat, and all my guest loved the food. Two issues, if you order dessert, the tres leches only comes in 12. If you need a partial order, you have to order another 12. ( or pay full price then that cost proportionally more.) Another issue is the number of cheese bread. There's a discrepancy between what was on the website versus what we received. We are working it out with them and it's pending. Other than that, the food was incredible. I've ordered from a lot of places post Covid and there is serious shrinkflation. Sunday August 30th. We went to have dinner for my wife's birthday. everything was good tell I wanted the bill. Apparently the waitress took my Credit card home with her. I asked for the GM. He was standing kind of in the corner of the restaurant. When my server approached him and told him, I wanted to speak to him. He rolled his eyes. When He realized I was waving him over. He finally came to the table. He was very aggressive towards me and everybody at our table. Didn't understand why I was upset was very rude. And very dismissive of my concerns. When somebody takes your credit card, the management should take this more serious. His only answer was as he was firing the server. So I was surprised that they seated us right next to there Point of sale area and a pole. I didn't even think twice at first. At first their voices talking about how many drink orders and food orders that they got incorrectly served to the wrong table, did not bother me. But after 30 minutes of hearing the manager and servers tell each other everything that was going wrong was. Well, it got to me and I did not enjoy my food. It was too late to ask for another table bc by that point I got a headache and all I wanted to do was leave. The massive headache was killing me. We chose Fogo de Chão Portland to celebrate two birthdays, and as a first-time visit for most of our family, it was incredibly disappointing. We spent over $700 and never received our full 4-course meals. Some sides and desserts never arrived, one person waited nearly an hour before receiving any meat, our bills were incorrect multiple times, and we were charged for items we were told were included. Service was rushed, dismissive, and the manager's only response was a verbal apology. Corporate later refunded only the incorrectly charged infusions, ignoring the rest of the experience. This was supposed to be a special celebration, but we left frustrated instead and won't be returning. The gauchos and whiskey server were excellent, and we truly appreciated their professionalism and kindness. Fogo de Chao has one of my favorite happy hours of all time. I am staying at the hotel across the street so coming here was a no brainer! They have bar bites starting at $6 and cocktails for $10 all day, every day! Service was quick and friendly and they brought out delicious complimentary cheese bread. The bar/lounge area is very large and has a few tables to sit and as well as the bar top. Highly reccomend the passionate caipirinha, the roasted cheese with honey and the chicken sliders! read more

It's 11:30 on a Sunday morning, the doors open promptly, and my friends and I walk in. Parking was annoyingly difficult, as per usual, but we anticipated this and gave ourselves plenty of grace time. Once seated, our (mediocre) server fills our water glasses & takes our order/confirms what we will be eating. Today, half the party elects to take the market table only and the others get full churrasco. The restaurant was busy but not quite half full so there is room to walk b through (there are too many tables imo, it's hard to not get in someone's way). This was my first time dining at Fogo de Chão Portland, and unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. The biggest issue was the overall condition of the brunch buffet. There were fruit flies around the restaurant, many items on the salad bar were empty, and several of the remaining dishes looked dried out and as if they'd been sitting for quite a while. Even when we left, the buffet still appeared largely unreplenished. Service was inconsistent throughout the meal. We switched servers midway through, and it wasn't until we were nearly finished eating that someone realized we had never received our bread, sauces, or side dishes. While they eventually brought them out, it was far too late to matter. The meats were okay, but none were particularly memorable. Combined with some awkward table-side interactions and several small service missteps, the entire experience felt disjointed and strange. Even dessert service felt odd when cheesecake arrived with lobster forks. Given the cost, I expected much better food quality, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience didn't justify the price, and I don't plan on returning. read more

Fogo de Chão popped up in our search when we were looking so we gave it a try. When we first got there we were seated quickly at a large table in back. The ambience was pretty casual which was not a bad thing since we had children with us. One downside was that the location of our table was in an awkward spot by the kitchen that made us feel like we couldn't move without being in someone's way. It was also kind of close to a door and we had some flys that wouldn't leave us alone. We were a very large number of people so we all wanted different things and the set up made it interesting to navigate. Some of us would be waiting to eat while others were being served. The food kept coming for a while but did seem to become less and less as time went on with awkward periods where we were all kind of just looking at one another. Still, with the price point it was hard to complain. The meat was cooked to the temperature you asked for and you could keep requesting if you wanted a particular type of meat. The deserts were very tasty and overall we had a decent experience. There's so many tables so there's a lot going on and it's hard for the staff to be attentive to any particular table so be prepared to wait for a lot of stuff. Like others have said, it feels like they go cheap on the more premier meat options so I got the same rotation or cheaper stuff over and over like chicken and pork as opposed to better cuts of steak. A couple of meats I never even got to try because they never came to my table, and one meat I really wanted didn't come until the very end basically at the end of my dining experience. The salad bar was excellent, and my wife and I probably enjoyed that and the table sides more than the meats themselves. We live in a neighboring burb near the new Fogo in Bridgeport so we were eager to check it out. Since I'm not much of a meat eater and my husband is working on some health issues, we decided to try a different approach to our dining experience. Instead of the customary, meat-centric meal, we went on a Friday afternoon for a Market Table lunch. The vibe was cozy, not overly chaotic or crowded, and the service was attentive. Though the 'Table' seemed a bit abbreviated compared to the downtown location, there were still plenty of lettuce greens, marinated and roasted veggies, potato salad, charcuterie-style meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, sliced fruits, and an especially yummy chicken salad. The breads served at the table were the same as usual and, if you wanted a different vibe, there was also sliced French bread and butter located at the soup/rice/bean (feijoada) table. Even if you have a reservation, you still may have to wait a while past your reservation time. But that's just how it is since they get so busy. So just try to plan for that. Came here for a birthday dinner and turnout to be one of my worst dinning experiences I've had in a long time. Our server was friendly and everything was fine at first until it started to get busy. Apparently his section was across the restaurant from our party so we ended up getting ignored a lot. Felt bad for him because it was his first night on his own. Well I don't eat much meat (only chicken) and mostly eat vegetarian so only two options. A cauliflower steak for $45 or a tofu dish for $49. I ordered the tofu and it included their salad bar/buffet. Didn't get told that they were out of tofu for 30 minutes waiting for my meal. No manager came by to apologize or render the situation until a manager came by and was helping clear plates. I asked about the tofu and she said well we are out. Then explained to her I ordered it and wasn't told for 30 minutes. Then I got my meal/salad bar $37 comped and a free dessert. Salad bar had a lot to choose from but the veggies were all very bland. The mushrooms and corn salad were about the only good thing. Drink service was very slow and took about 15-20 minutes to get your drink. Then it took forever to get the dessert menu and dessert. Best dessert was the crème brûlée cheesecake. Lava cake was cold with chocolate syrup in the middle and my crème brûlée was descent. Then when it came to the bill it went even more downhill. We split it 3 ways. Not too hard but boy was that mistake. It was all messed up and we just gave up, paid and left. I will not be back. Overpriced and poor service and management. Best part of the meal was the rolls.
