In the middle of the recent pandemic lockdown, it took a while to complete the structural repair. Once it was completed, our contractor left us stranded as his stucco person couldn't take the job. As we were coming into the beginning of the rainy season, we called and emailed a half dozen different plaster/stucco repair contractors. Bernabe came out immediately, did a thorough walkthrough of the job, took notes and gave me a general idea of what the cost and time might be, and wanted to do more specific calculations and send me a written bid. I accepted his offer and he began the process. As he began repair on the job, he uncovered dry rot that we didn't know existed and with each new discovery, was willing to work with us, and his schedule to complete the job. What had begun as a 3 to 4-day job, ballooned into 3 weeks, as the scope of the damage became more apparent. Bernabe was willing and able to accommodate our needs and complete the repairs. He was patient in answering questions, gave advice on what we should consider, and through the entire process he kept a great attitude as we kept uncovering new issues. He was efficient, the job site was kept clean, he was considerate of any potential noise that might disturb the neighbors (having to chip old stucco, running the mixer for new stucco, etc.). He was clear on expectations of each day and each part of the job. When he uncovered hidden issues, Bernabe would explain the problem, the consequences of the problem, and what solutions we could consider. Bernabe's work was impeccable. The finish of it looks amazing, and he was able to clean up old issues (bad stucco patterns). I cannot believe how unbelievably lucky we were able to connect with him in the middle of a project gone sour and how he was able to help us recover to finish with some amazing work. I cannot give him high enough praise for how great a job he did, from start, to additions, to additional work, and to finish.
