They were booked out so I had to wait a few months until they could perform their work in two phases, but it looks like they did it good and at a fair price for my home. The service requested was up to my standards with them taking a couple days during each phases and displaying professionalism as they did their work. They were also helpful in providing a couple references for a local plumber and electrician that both knew their stuff and quoted me a fair price for the additional work that had to be done. I obtained two estimates to encapsulate my crawlspace. Although the estimate from Clean Crawlspace was higher, it was more inclusive and presented a professional manner. I had to wit a few weeks for the scheduled installation -- good to know they were busy. I cannot praise enough the three man crew that performed the work. The arrived onetime each day and consulted me as minor issues arose and decisions were needed. They cleaned up the area at the end of each day and worked non-stop from arrival to midafternoon departure. They were essentially "invisible" while working as once they entered the crawlspace they rarely emerged before quitting time. I have two properties nearby in Solano County which have been having a lot of ground water rising into my crawlspace after heavy rains. Clean Crawlspace had good pricing and were quick to accommodate sooner dates when available. They were professional and responsive. Here are pics from my first property they did as I had both properties done at different times. Mike handled this project and Daniel handled the second property both were awesome to work with. As I'm sitting here writing this review, it's been raining non stop. Starting to feel like the winters we used to have in the Bay Area. When we first bought our home in 2011, it was always noted from home inspection reports, plumbers, electricians, termite inspections, etc that our crawl space was very damp, even the last few summers during the droughts. During winter months when it's been cold, our carpets and floors have felt extra cold. We've been wanting to replace our floors but knew we need to take care of the moisture issues before we spend the money on new floors. I reached out to 4 different moisture barrier companies for bids and recommendations/remedy, but none of them were as detail orientated than Clean Crawlspace. Yes, Clean Crawlspace had the busiest schedule and came in at the highest of all my bids, but as I'm watching it rain right now, I'm glad we went with Clean Crawlspace. It's an investment/upgrade that you really can't show off to friends or family, but it's one that we very much needed. They scheduled 4 days of work, but the workers were able to get everything done within 2.5 days. They were clean, respectful, communicative and efficient and worked their butts off in the heat of summer. They installed two French drains, two sump pumps, and a moisture barrier throughout the crawl space. Midway through the work, I was notified saying that one of the items in the bid wasn't needed so they reduced the price. After they finished up the work, I crawled down there was simply impressed how they were able to get all that work done with very little space to wiggle and "crawl" around. Now that it's been raining, we periodically been hearing the pumps kick on and seeing first hand how much water is being pumped out... and it's been A LOT! This past mid-September Clean CrawlSpace cleared out debris from my crawl space and installed a vapor barrier and (below that) a Delta Matt, which together offers a 25 year guarantee against the moisture and dampness that has contributed to mold and termites. David Lipsky was the salesperson and excellent at explaining what needed to be done, though I wish he could have been available at a key juncture towards the end. Specifically, I had never received a receipt with the balance amount that would be owed and wanted to give the check directly to Diego, the foreman, as I did not want it stolen in the mail. I also wanted photos of the excellent job Diego and his co-worker had been doing over those next 3 days (1/2 days). Alyssa Fox, one of the administrative assistants, promptly found and forwarded the invoice as well as facilitated the photos for both liner and the drainage matting. However, before doing so, she mentioned the possibility of additional charges should something unusual be found, something I said should be that it be specified in the contract along with a note that photos, too, would be available on request. When the first set of emails included only the top layer, I worried that it was too late to get photos of the drainage matt beneath it, since I had requested these on the last day. She also facilitated the delivery of my check through foreman, thus allowing any fears it would get lost, or worse, stolen in the mail. David Lipsky returned my call after the guys had gone, and I in turn, called back to express these concerns, but to this date have no idea whether the company or its sales persons in general appreciate or will acknowledge the above recommendations. Not only was this service greatly over priced but while apparently drove down the street so fast that it made my neighbors at the end iof the block come down and yell at the guy for reckless driving, it was really embarrassing. He was rude to my neighbor, then it felt like he rushed thru my job. But to ad insult to injury the guy nearly ran over my other neighbor when he drove off at top speed. Clean CrawlSpace was an excellent company to work with. The estimator did a very thorough job diagnosing the solution to the standing water under my house and designing a plan. Then when there was availability in their schedule the first crew came and did trenching and installed 2 sump pumps under the house. They diverted the water from the pumps through PVC pipe out to the street. This job was not easy or pleasant and required a lot of effort as there was a lot of standing water and mud underneath. If you have ever dug in wet adobe soil you'll understand. Then later on a second crew came and encapsulated the entire crawl space. This crew also worked very hard under very muddy conditions. They sealed the encapsulation material to the foundation to help keep the air in the house much healthier. I feel that now I have a much healthier living environment and this should help the house structure and foundation without all the water present. I believe Clean Crawl Space improved my house greatly. I used clean crawlspace last year to encapsulate the front of our house. This company had the lowest bid of 3 companies. This year after the atmospheric river in October I asked them to do the rear section of our house. They had a cancellation and the work was done in a few days. Our area gets very wet and the vapor barrier made an immediate improvement. If you have water intrusion under your crawlspace the vapor barrier combined with sump pumps is the only real solution. As a bonus moving around under the house is much easier and pleasant with the thick matting. No more need for knee pads! The workers were prompt and hardworking. The estimator was fair and complete. We purchased a 4-pled recently and the biggest problem area was the crawl space. While underneath to give us an estimate the team from Clean Crawlspace took pictures that uncovered all sorts of issues that the sellers did not disclose abs our inspector did not catch (he later admitted that he never went underneath ). So much erosion due to moisture, that we immediately signed up for a clean crawlspace installation. Tough to schedule with a couple tenants, but the team was very flexible and worked fast to disrupt daily life as little as possible. Clean CrawlSpace installed a sump pump in October. I highly recommend this company who did outstanding work under my home. Not only did it solve my standing water under the house issue, but (fingers crossed) no critters are getting in under the house. Its staff is highly professional. I felt completely comfortable leaving the house for hours when I needed to do so. This speaks volumes about the people it hires. Cesar Rodriguez, and his assistant, Hector are personable, reliable, professional, and hard workers. Cesar was very patient with my asking questions about the process and end result. He was also willing to speak with my outside drain installation fellow who was connecting the drain from the pump to my outside drains that I was replacing. This company is top notch. Originally, I was upset because due to an unforeseen error, a loose connection with the sump pump led to a major flood in my mother's crawl space. David the owner, Levi the technician and Mishka in the office went above and beyond to make things right. Clean Crawl Space removed my old insulation and installed new R-30 lay down and R-28 blown in insulation as a result of the 2020 Glass Fire. In addition, Clean Crawl Space installed 1/8" eave vents to further protect the attic from future problems. They were terrific! What stands out with Clean Crawl Space, is that the estimator actually spent more than one hour inspecting the attic taking pictures, drawing diagrams and working with me for solutions for making my home more fire safe. One of the owners of the company came by to ensure that everything was going well. The other 3 insulation companies I had only poked their heads in the crawl space and did not make me feel like they actually knew what was going on in the attic. They also did not inform me about ways they would keep my bedroom closet and bedroom clean. One insulation company said that I would get a good rebate from PG&E for the insulation upgrade and that was not true because I fact checked them. The Clean Crawl Space technicians were extremely careful to make sure that my closet and house was kept clean and safe. All workers wore face masks. In addition, Hepa Negative Air filters were used. The office staff worked with me scheduling the work to be completed and were very helpful and pleasant to work with. I would like to submit a review of a recent inspection performed by Florencio Chavez for the company Clean CrawlSpace in Santa Rosa California. A few years ago, this company did a wonderful job helping us with flooding in our crawlspace by installing 3 sump pumps and putting in a barrier over the entire area. Recently we had a issue where we feared we had water accumulation - so we called Clean CrawlSpace to come back and inspect. Florencio Chavez was sent to our house to inspect (he did the original inspections a few years ago). He was very professional, thorough, and informative. He put on a protective suite and went down into two separate crawlspace openings. He provided us with a hand drawn map, keyed to digital photographs. Fortunately he did not have any water issues to report, but we did have a few other issues to consider based on his evaluation. We had some minor misunderstanding on the scope of project. But they reacted very fast and made correction instantly. Daniel was our sales and he was very diligent and responsive. We did the project 2021 spring, and the sump pump works perfect during the heavy storm last weekend, pumping every 53 second for continuous 24 hours! That was impressive! After I removed the moldy material from my crawlspace (and followed up with a thorough Shockwave treatment), the folks from Clean Crawlspace completely safe-proofed the area with special thick plastic sheeting, along with closing up useless vents that were only good for admitting mold spores. We just had the annual autumn inspection and maintenance for our Clean CrawlSpace moisture control system. The system was installed in the Spring of 2012. Prior to the installation the space under our house was always flooded after medium to heavy rainfalls. Often times the water remained well into the summer months. One day we saw the Clean CrawlSpace system on a YouTube video and decided to call the company for an estimate. The owner David Carney came to our home, inspected the crawl space and explained the system. We decided to have the system installed and it has performed flawlessly in the 6 years since. Very pleased with Clean Crawl Space. We had some flooding in the laundry room with torrential rain in Dec/Jan and I discovered water coming off the hillside into the crawl space. It was a little complicated by access issues and needing to work around the furnace and water heater, but Reinaldo came up with a well designed plan including trench, retaining wall, and sump pump. The inspector that came was like an used car sales man never straight about any pricing. I asked for specifically 2 sump pumps and the vapor barrier. Finally I asked straight forward how much per sf the vapor barrier (encapsulation system) is, how much a sump pump is installed, how much is the trenching. He said $3-$4/sf for the vapor barrier, 1600-1800/sump pump and $175/hr for trenching. Took another 4 days to get our final quote. If I wanted everything done it would be around 10k. I got better quality service w/ all that and the mold spray and 2 years of service for way less than that. There are only 3 companies that does this service. The other 2 companies provided better service and better pricing. I can't give the 1 star because I didn't go w/ them so I don't know their quality of work is but from pricing and customer service perspective I've had better. read more

Our HVAC ducts in the crawl space of our home were severely damaged by rats and needed to be removed and the area cleaned and sanitized before the ducts could be replaced. Clean CrawlSpace trechnicians did an amazing job of removing the damaged and contaminated ducts, vapor barrier and insulation, cleaning and sanitizing the area, and replacing the vapor barrier and insulation.
