This is my experience with Focus vision. I went in for my first eye exam in GA, after moving here 4 years ago, so this was an anticipated and necessary visit for me. I was told to fill out a form that listed several services. Initially I only signed off on services that were about $134 give or take. By the end of my exam I ended up paying a little under $200. I was ok with this because I felt like I could trust Dr. Ho. I felt like she was being genuine with her exam. None of this is to discredit her as an eye Dr. she may have just gotten it wrong. People make mistakes. After my exam I was told that I have good vision and did not need glasses, but was prescribed a light prescription due to my initial concerns with night driving and computer use. As a result of my exam I was also told that I have congenital cataracts, which was extremely odd to me since as a 34 year old women, have never been told these details about my eye health. Right away I was scheduled for a follow up in one year, and was told I would be charged if I did make the appointment. I trusted Dr. Ho enough to schedule that appointment even after the questioning results. Instead of questioning the Drs results I looked into a second opinion and review my charts from previous eye exams. None of Dr. Hos results made sense to what I have been told about my eye health and vision. After expressing this to her practice and providing the appropriate documentation requested, which shows a second opinion, I received this reply: "Hi Cynthia, Thank you for reaching out to us about the situation! However, we are regret to inform you that we have to decline your request for a refund due to the following reasons: 1, There is no refund on professional services once the service has been rendered. Please refer to our policies for your reference. 2. The professional opinions are not always exactly the same. What Dr. Ho finds or sees doesn't mean other doctors will see the same and vice-versa. You were found to have small specs in your lenses that Dr. Ho calls congenital cataract. Other doctors might not look or check for it or don't see it's worth reporting. OFFICE POLICIES If you need anything else, please feel free to contact us. If they were going to provide me with a policy in the first place, they should have never asked me for additional documentation showing the exam from another practice. In my experience, this practice will add services you never checked off on, then give inaccurate information and after you get a second opinion and provide them with the requested paper work, they will then hit you with their office policy. The whole ordeal was a complete waste of time, where I spent nearly $200 for an eye exam to be given inaccurate information about my eye health. I am an out of pocket patient and would have appreciated more accurate diagnosis when paying nearly $200 for an eye exam. Others may have a different experience, but this is mine with Dr. Ho and her practice. read more

I have been wearing contacts for almost 10 years now. Dr. Ho is literally the first doctor who actually took my dry eyes issues seriously. She provided 4 different contacts known for dealing with dry eyes and let me try all 4 in the span of two weeks. During my follow-up, she asked me to describe all 4 contacts (how they felt, did my eyes dry out during the day, which was least comfortable, etc.) and took notes on them. She said she wanted to keep track of this information for future patients. I love this effort she puts into her patient care and professionalism. read more

First time visit, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE & DR was AWESOME!!! Best eye exam and service. My daughter broke her only pair of glasses last night. I needed to get her a pair ASAP - I called same day after noon and she was seen at 5pm promptly, had an eye exam, choose out lenses, and they cut them in the office lab - we left with glasses and exam within 1.5 hours, it was fast (my daughter spent some time looking at all the frames in the store, lol) We found our new family optometrist!!! read more

I trust, explicitly, Dr. Ho with the examination, care, and protection of my eyes. I guess that I should say my one eye because I'm centrally blind in my right eye from an eye surgery back in the 1980s. The damage had been done but with the help of Dr. Ho (my optometrist), and Dr. Ashraf (my ophthalmologist) as a team, they are trying to keep my remaining sight in my left eye in as best working order as possible. My left eye, though primarily really the only good eye that I have, doesn't escape the malady that necessitated the surgery of the right eye. There's still a possibility that blindness could happen in both eyes. My two Dr.s are working to prevent that. Laser surgery to correct my vision is out of the question. Because with sight in only one eye, if something goes wrong, I'm left totally blind. I also have a cataract ad glaucoma. Both are kept in check by them. It's a delicate garden that they traverse, and they do so as cautiously, carefully, and with my best interest in mind, it's as if they are prepared for anything thrown at them. I've gone to many other optometrists, with maladies like mine, you can expect to do so. Independents, chains, etc., I ow only trust my sight with my two doctors. And when it comes to pre-alerts, glasses, contacts, and general eyecare, Dr. Ho is the best. read more

I like the doctor there. However, it should be more professional. Her 15 year-old (roughly) daughter is sometimes her assistance to check on our eyes. Recently, they charge 3% for using credit cards. I normally pay a lot for eyeglasses. I think this charge should be paid by customers. read more

I have waited for years to put in my professional experience for a woman in business and working with her and her staff for years. The safe she had Before is so much better than the staff she has now. My visit last year was so horrible and complicated. The girl working here now needs training soon and she needs to know how to talk on the phone. She is the person who messed up the prescription and after going back and forth and arriving the doc told me if I have to come back she will charge me. Although, she was aware that her staff had put in the wrong prescription and this is not the first time I had a screw-u with this optical eye doctor. The girl that is working the front desk lack people skill. I emailed them to ask a question and she called I called her back and asked to hear about the warranty on glasses as of today hadn't benefited me at all. My insurance paid and I paid 300.00 a total of 700, for eyewear that is not beneficial for me. However, when I was told I had a warranty and proceed to ask another question this airhead cut me off and did not allow me to ask my other question N hung up in my face. So I emailed yesterday to see if Dr. Anh, will contact me or call. I knew last year that it was time after she made me feel it was my error and not her staff error, and coming to see her after becoming sick from the coronavirus. This doctor was trying to play catch up with my money, gave me drops for dry eyes, and told me the product is expensive I followed her instructions and could not see a thing. She actually gave me two drops and the surprise for me is that she seem to tack on a lot and gave me loaded statements as if my issues had gotten worse about my eyes. Granted when I did come to them the place was closed during the virus. I don't trust her anymore nor does she knows the staff. I was willing to come all the way from Douglasville Georgia for her to examine my eyes. Initially, with me, she started out awesome and seemed so caring, but after the previous staff left she became rude, concerned more about money and increasing her stock. When I get my eyes examined this year it definitely will not be with this eye doctor I started out with her in 2017 and she checked my son and my husband was the first to catch her rudeness and the staff. I was trying to play it off, because of DNA. No more. She needs to replace her female staff and keep the male visible because he is much more knowledgeable and secure with his concerns toward you. This took me years to want to do this when I should've done this when they put the lens in backward. I pray for this help someone and pay attention if you're passed the concerned stage with her. Dr. Anh, staff environment is based on how she relates. If she is cocky they will be cocky, if she feels like being nice she will be nice. Also, pay attention to how they treat people of color compared to someone white and children. She and I heard this from her tell two kids coming into her business and talk down to them as if they could not afford and once she figured out they could afford the lense she try to become nice, but the young lady still showed a looked of disappointment while her brother was helping her. This is when we both noticed and my husband said I don't want to get my glasses from here. He took his prescription elsewhere and he is doing so much better now I need to find someone by October 2022, the eyewear I have are useless for me. They have been since I purchased them and I will report this to my insurance. read more

They do not care if they have a happy customer or not. I called and asked them if they are having a Black Friday special, the answer was/is yes. The promotion was/is 50% off. Sounds like a great deal right, it is only if you do not have insurance. It was not explained to me by the two ppl I spoke to that is was only if you weren't using insurance. Next issued, my appointment was at 11am, I wasn't seen till 12:30. Third issue, I paid for my glasses and left. They called me and informed me they forgot to measure my eyes for my glasses. I had to drive all the way back. Still, I got nothing for their poor service, but a sorry. There only concerns is money and not their customer experience. If you would have asked me a week ago, I would have recommended them as a great place. My viewpoint has highly changed. If you have a customer who has been loyal to you for years and your employees failed to correctly explained the promotion, drive 30 mins for your service, than a forget to complete an important step; why not offer a 20% or a 10% discount to make them happy? Simple, they do not care, it's all about the money not the customer. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Went into the office almost a month ago and ordered glasses. Last week I went back in because I haven't heard anything from them. Good thing I went in because they forgot to put my order through. They promised my glasses would be in soon because they were going to put a rush on them. I get a call from them this morning saying that my glasses were ready. I head over to them and when I get there the lady at the front desk tells me that there was a mistake and my glasses were not ready or in yet. So not only do I still not have my glasses but I wasted time and gas coming over here again. This was my first time at this place and will definitely be my last. How do you make that many mistakes? Okay, so I found this place after being treated like trash by Peachtree Eye Clinic and I'm sooo glad. Focus Vision is closer to me and so much friendlier. I was really shocked at how much the office manager knew. She wasnt just a pretty face in front but she actually was extremely informative and definitely knew what she was doing. I went on my lunch break and told them that I would be tight on time, they were extremely efficient but quick at the same time. Dr. Anh was really awesome! She took her time to thoroughly explain her findings and what was best for me. Most doctors just give me what I they think I need. But she made sure I understood what was really going on with my eyes. This is definitely going to be my new to-go eye doctor. read more

Awful front staff. Appointments mean nothing. I have been going to Dr. Ho for two years now. Really just once a year type of thing for contacts and check up. Yesterday I found myself having actual pain and swelling in one of my eyes. Having two small children I needed to make an appointment and coordinate with my wife. I did so. However, when I showed up, her front staff told me I'd have to wait another 45 minutes as two walk-ins were in front of me. Is this a Seinfeld episode? What's the point of an appointment if anybody can walk in and take your spot? Also, they had not taken down my appointment properly and thought I was there for just a checkup. They also made me fill out the same new patient form even though I've been a patient for two years. As if that wasn't enough, the 22-year old front-desk woman, who I'm fairly certain is not a doctor, starts giving me a hard time about cleaning my lenses and telling me that's why my eye is in pain and swollen. Dr. Ho used to have a lovely young woman handling all of this and she did a wonderful job. She has been replaced my inexperienced staff with no manners who seemed to have forgotten this (I think) is a DOCTOR, not a strip mall store devoted to selling eyeglasses. We have move our family's eye care under Dr. Ho and we are thrilled with her availability, professionalism, extra effort, flexibility and genuine concern for our eye health. I received a prescription for glasses from Focus Vision and had a follow-up question for the doctor. I tried calling and even going back to the office, but the staff never let me talk to the doctor to obtain an answer to my question and they never called me back with an answer from the doctor despite multiple attempts on my part and promises to get back to me... Really unprofessional. The staff also tries to make up answers to medical questions and billing questions that they're not qualified to answer, without consulting the doctor. read more

Dr. Ho is a very detailed and caring individual. My sister and I saw her for the first time this year after moving from a pediatric ophthalmologist. We need to get our eyes checked for long term use of a drug that can cause retinal toxicity. Dr. Ho was far more communicative than our previous Dr. and even conducted an OCT exam to make sure that our eyes are healthy which our previous doctor never did. I appreciated her thoughtfulness when it came to our situation. I feel confident giving her the power to decide on the health and monitoring of our eyes. While I feel that I had a very thorough eye exam at Focus, I was extremely disappointed in the customer service received by Dr. Ho. I purchased two pair of glasses with progressive trifocal lenses in July. This was my first experience with trifocal lenses and Dr. Ho advised that it would take some time to get used to and to come back, if needed. I realized that the middle range for one of the pair of glasses I bought did not work unless I tipped my head back or lifted the glasses off my nose to find the "sweet spot". I returned yesterday, due to my work schedule, two months after purchase. I was told by Dr. Ho that, yes, that is exactly how I had to use the glasses! She actually said that when I'm using the computer or driving and want to read directions on my phone, I should either tip my head back (very uncomfortable position) or lift the glasses off my nose to see. Obviously, this could be dangerous when driving and also hard to type when one hand is holding my glasses off my nose! I paid a lot for these glasses and lenses, and expect that I should be able to use what I paid for while the glasses are sitting on my nose! Dr. Ho did not agree with this and after much back and forth, did provide a refund of $50. I obtained all my records and will not return to Dr. Ho or Focus Vision. I would advise all of you to think twice before using her services as well. read more

I used Focus Vision for the first time last month. I had been going the cheap route with glasses, and got what I paid for. Dr. Ho and staff did and excellent job and my new glasses are perfect! Plus, just this week I had an eye injury, and they took me in immediately. Dr. Ho was very thorough and really took the time to explain the procedure and the follow up care. I have no vision insurance and I feel the price was right on point given the level of care I received. I recommend this company to everyone! read more

I brought in some glasses ordered online to be adjusted and the technician ruined the lenses of my brand-new glasses. (As a result of heating frames to adjust, the lens coating was crackled) The doctor then directed me to a sign indicating that frame adjustments are at the customer's risk and told me there was nothing they could do. I had hoped this office might be a great option for a new eye doctor closer to home, but not now. Hopefully the technician will not make that mistake again. read more

After searching for hours for an optometrist with on site eyewear I ran across Focus Vision. I called on a Friday afternoon and they were able to see me that evening. When I got there I was so pleased to see all of the different eyewear selection. There was everything from Nike to Gucci to Versace and everything in between. The Dr. was so extremely nice and patient. As late as it was on a Friday, she still took the time to cut the frames and give them to me that night. She explained that she had a conference the following day so she wanted to make sure that I had my glasses that night. This was a huge plus because we live very far away.
