Her nails last me well, and she's very dedicated to taking her time and making sure the quality is great. She's a true five star nail tech. Love Joanne, and she's the primary reason I go. The salon itself is nice, and the staff that checks me in and out has always been super kind and helpful. The also have A LOT OF COLOR OPTIONS! Many, many different things to consider; however do note that a lot of the more special color options have up upcharges of $10-25 dollars, such as chromes, cat eye, or certain other polishes. They are transparently noted however which I very much appreciate. The only thing I really dislike is if you pay with a card, they pass on the processing fee to the customer. I personally don't like it when businesses do this - as a business owner myself, I consider it the cost of doing business. I know CC fees add up, but I just personally find it really bothersome and this was not the case at the last nail place, or the place I went before that. However, they do have the option to pay in cash to get around the fee - so I've been trying to withdraw cash before going. They also have a rewards program which I always like for businesses I'll be investing in regularly, and my last place DIDNT have that, so it's a nice option. I'll take photos next time I go to update the review!

My friend, who has been a regular customer for a long time, invited me to join her for a pedicure. Before our appointment, I checked the salon's website and saw a promotion stating that when you bring in a new customer, both you and your guest receive 10% off. When we checked in, we showed the receptionist the promotion. She had me create a new account and told us to remind her at checkout so she could apply the discount. However, when it was time to pay, a different staff member was at the front desk. This person spoke in circles, telling us the previous receptionist was mistaken and that the 10% discount would only apply to our next visit. It's not about the money--it's the inconsistency and misleading advertisement that bothered us. Being told two different things by two different staff members left us feeling frustrated and distrustful of the business. Unfortunately, due to this poor customer service at the front desk, I won't be returning.

For this reason I don't want anyone else forcing their veiws on me. The nail salon is the last place I want to go where politics is being displayed through the TV. They are playing Fox news every time I go there. I told them that it was not good to have a news show on that focus on right wing politics because it could offend people, and he did nothing about it. There are so many other neutral channels they could have the tv on besides a one sided news Chanel. 2. After I told him that, he never changed the chanel nor did he talk to me at all during my service. 3. He seemed mad and it showed in my nails, they were different lengths and shapes and too thick. I've had much better service in other salons. It's close to my house and they are never busy, but I'd rather go a few extra miles, pay more and wait to get the service that satisfies me. You get what you pay for. The owner responded to my review by pretty much calling me full pf hate, but as a 40 year salon owner I know that political propaganda does not belong in a salon period!!! I didn't feel like hearing that crap no matter what my veiws were. I would have felt the same if it were CNN. She literally said I have hate in my heart and that is so far from the truth. I just felt there were so many other neutral channels they could have been playing besides the news. We watch news at home. The whole experience was awful, the always empty salon, the quality of my nail service and unwelcoming atmosphere. Let's be clear, when you get a bad review, you don't bash the reviewer, you apologize and try to make it better. You don't pay the customer, they pay you!!! Every bad review they get, the owner bashes them and never apologizes. I pay and tip everywhere I'm serviced, but I will not tolerate an unapologetic, arrogant, owner who covers up for inadequate employees or poor salon ethics. She justified playing the news in a public business as freedom of speech, well my concern was freedom of speech and if I found it offensive I have the right to never go back there again. That's Freedom of speech. I go to the nail salon to relax not to feel uncomfortable. I learned in beauty school, never to bring religion or politics into the salon. Maybe they missed that.

A few minutes later a nice gentleman appeared and offered me something to drink and started taking g off my old gel polish. I thought he walked to get my new color choice, but he disappeared outside for a few minutes. Then he came in and got busy. He made some small talk, but kept looking to the side every few seconds as he kept working on my nails. I followed his gaze and realized he was looking at his phone that was propped up. So of course now I want to see too. So I scoot forward a little and see he is watching an international tv show at the same time he is doing my nails- and he is really into it. His communication did slow down but he still did a great job. So I don't know how to feel about that part. Next, i could be off, but I swore an overlay on my real nails ( no manicure or cut down) would be around $35-$45. I even looked up some local spots pricing before I arrived. ( this wasn't on my list of places - I'm just visiting the area) but I saw there photos and they were decent ... but no prices listed) so I was surprised when they asked for $55! Maybe it was like $40 for nails and $15 for polish removal? What u think? I think he added his own tip for sure.

They said the couldn't do that with dip so I asked if they could do a regular French tip with dip. The older gentleman in the salon stated that he could do regular French tip look with dip powder, so I agreed to that. He began prepping my nails but did not ask what shape I wanted so I thought he would do that later. He began the dip process to create the French tip and had some issues on a few nails which caused the powder to become thick and bulky. Instead of him starting over he tried to salvage them. Long story short, I figured the nails would look mediocre just from watching the dip process and I was right. They were a bit misshapen, lumpy, and very thick. I was never asked what shape I wanted and for this general purpose, I just needed some nails that would photograph well enough that photoshop could assist. The total for my nails was $50 if anyone is wondering. This place used to be such a great place with workers who did excellent work, but there was a change of management around 2017-2018 and it has not been the same quality since. I'm sure they can do basic acrylics and manicures well (I did not experience a pedi) but specialized attention to detail is not an attribute that I observed in the last few times I've been since new management (this includes a long period of time between trying them after new management until now).
