We know that we are paying a premium price/dues and felt that the facilities and service were worth it. However, things have changed over the past few years. The bottom line is that we are still paying premium prices, but no longer getting premium service. We used to refer all of our friends to this club, but in good conscience we no longer refer. The machines are not well maintained, and when one is taken out of service it can take 4 to 6 weeks to repair. A number of the TV 's around the club have faulty feeds so pictures are intermittent. Many of the screens on elliptical and treadmills do not work. This situation has gone on for over a year, and management has been informed many times over these issues. The club has oversold its membership so that parking is a problem. Aurora classes are always waitlisted. I utilize your personal training services weekly and most recently, I spoke to the General manager, Dominick Delli Paoli, about a situation that has persisted for years. I am referring to classes that take place in the middle of the exercise floor. The instructor, Micah, blasts the music so loudly that I can't even hear my personal trainer and the sound is so loud that it is offensive. She lowers the music when she is giving her group instruction and then returns to the blasting music. I've spoken to management during the year and nothing has changed. Yesterday, I went to Dominick's office to request that he has the music lowered. I was shocked by his response. When I explained my request, he replied,"I will not do that!" He was rude and dismissive. I am stunned that the General Manager of an upscale club be so rude to his members. He sat at his desk and did nothing. I went back to my personal training very upset to be treated so poorly. We would like nothing more than to see this club return to its former excellence, but it's hard to believe that could happen with this current general manager. Respectfully,

As far as the sauna, be prepared to be joined by 15 men. 1 of which will be taking a business call. 3. You will see a 45lb dumbbell placed in a 15lbs dumbbell spot on the rack because people don't understand how to put things back. 4. Lastly, their locker room is disgusting. My friend got Plantar Warts walking once barefoot. Towels are everywhere, locker room attendants are hitting their vapes. End of story, It's not worth the monthly payment unless you will be going 5AM-7:30AM or 7:30PM-10PM due to crowdedness.

I called the local manager again. They said they would take care of it, and then I asked for a refund of all the months that they had billed me after told them I was going to be at the gym. Several emails back-and-forth and promises, nothing. They are ghosting me and it's really shitty for them to do that. It's trivial money, but it's the whole point of the matter. The 2nd floor is divided into two main areas, the cardio area and weight area (both machines & free weights). Joining was very simple, I sat down with "Nur" the Fitness Manager who laid out the available options. I went with the national Program paid annually. Some improvements I'd recommended are more abdominal machines like a Roman chair, I'd also like to see significantly more full elliptical machines, most of the ones there don't have moving arms, which is half a work out. Overall, this is the best value gym in Bergen County. Everyone I've met there is extremely curious and non judgmental. The staff is very friendly, always smiling when you check in and they do their best to keep the place clean. It can get busy during peak hours, but during work hours you'll have the place to yourself to do your own thing. The guest pass is a no brainer to be able to bring your spouse (who is on the treadmill in my photo). Like anything in life, the more you put into your workout, the better the results. This is a budget type gym, where you bring your own towel, but there are plenty of water fountains to fill your bottle. I'd rather bring my own clean towel and pay less for a place with lots of amenities. For the money I'm going to give 24 Hour Fitness 5 stars. I followed their contract terms exactly, sending a certified letter with a doctor's note confirming I could no longer use the gym for medical reasons (exceeding 6 months). Instead of honoring their own policy, they became completely evasive--ignoring my emails, dodging my calls, and refusing to provide any response. To make matters worse, Nicole, the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to resolve this after finally getting in touch with her. Instead of assisting me, she was dismissive and unhelpful. Beyond their shady business practices, the sauna has visible wood rot and decay (or mold), and since joining, I've had two fungal infections--something I've never dealt with before. Given these conditions and experiences, I'm filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the New York State Health Board to hold them accountable. Since they kept charging me despite my cancellation request, I had no choice but to dispute the charges and block payments through my credit card company. If you're thinking of joining this gym--don't. Their lack of ethics, poor management, and unsanitary conditions make this a terrible choice. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that values its members.

There are classes, but most of them are located in the far corner of the building in a warehouse-like setting. The only instructor worth mentioning is Janice, who is quite good. The gym overall has no character - I think it's a cross between a Gold's gym and a Planet Fitness. THE BAD: When quitting the gym - I moved away from the area - the manager gave me a VERY hard time. They charged me for nearly 2 extra months, and when I complained, she went off on a personal attack asking me my age, questioning my maturity level, yelling, etc. No explanation was given, other than "that's the way we do it." From what I did understand, I was 3 days into the month, so I had to pay for that month AND the next (I was on month-to-month basis at the time). So I paid, and politely left. I'm not coming back.
