My surgeon cleared me to begin working with a personal trainer at four weeks post-op, and since I had dropped in a few classes with IFA last Spring, I knew where to go. Saro listened to my doctor's orders/restrictions and focused on helping me stabilize my core muscles at first while (not so subtly) teaching me solid long term lifestyle habits to make the effects of this surgery count for the long haul. I started seeing him once a week in September and have had 12 personal training sessions. In that time my endurance has shot threw the roof, I can almost squat my max and I can do (assisted) pull ups for the first time in my life!! (My butt also looks great ) Most importantly, I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. I have slowly increased to 6 training days a week, varying my workouts. I could not have gotten here so quickly or been so strong without the instruction of the coaches at IFA. I've started integrating into the classes now that I have recovered from the surgery and I really feel like part of a team.
