BUYER BEWARE. Read This Before Signing…read more I had to edit this review because the Owner stated that if I did not remove my negative reviews, they would proceed with a defamation lawsuit. I will not be bullied into taking down a review based on my personal experience. I have edited the post to focus strictly on the contract terms and my opinions, which are protected by free speech. This threatening action demonstrates how management operates behind the scenes and that if you do not comply, they will attempt to scold you into submission. This detailed and lengthy review alerts anyone considering a membership at CP Fort Lee, Englewood, Northvale, and other locations owned by Scott Untener and managed by Vianca Rinko. These are independently owned franchises. The owner oversees all operations and decisions. The contract in dispute is dated 11/05/2024 ($169/month for 4 sessions). My negative experience began at the eighth month, exposing a pattern of billing designed to penalize members who attempt to freeze or cancel. The Freeze Policy is an unsound option. I requested a membership freeze on 7/29, and I was informed the standard freeze is for medical reasons only. The manager, Vianca, offered a "courtesy" freeze, but the Freeze Policy Clause offers no financial relief, stating "freezing your membership will extend the term of the Agreement and that you will still be obligated to pay your monthly dues." In my case, this meant I would have continued to pay the monthly dues ($169), plus the monthly freeze fee ($15 to $35). The studio operates on a "Use or Lose" policy. If I paused for 2 mos, I would then be required to use the 12 accumulated sessions within 30 days upon reactivation to avoid losing their value. In my view, this structure is an impossible and perversely counterintuitive condition designed to guarantee profit while making it nearly impossible for a working adult with time constraints to redeem the full value. The additional monthly freeze fee functions as an extra income stream during non-utilization. I then requested cancellation on 7/30, two days after my payment due date (7/28). The Termination clause requires 30 days' advance written notice. The 7/28 payment covered the service period of 8/1-8/31. Vianca stated that 30-days' notice meant one final payment. My notice on 7/30 missed the deadline by 1 day. This resulted in me being liable for the payment due on 8/28, turning my initial 9/1 cancellation request into a 10/1 cancellation. I initially refused to pay this 8/28 bill for ethical concerns, but I paid it in October. My cost to break free from this contract was $338, plus the $20 late fee. This is a highly punitive interpretation of the contract designed to maximize charges. Missing a deadline by 1 day results in a disproportionately large financial penalty. The club benefits from active, freezing, and canceling members alike, ensuring no financial loss to management, EVER. After 7/31, I faced what I deem harassment from their debt collector. When I tried to stop any bills passed 9/28, Vianca claimed on 10/4 that she would contact "Corporate" for a waiver. However, when pressed for Corporate's contact on 10/7, the response was "You can Google that information..." I view this as a lie intended to stall and to be petty. Due to their refusal to resolve the dispute amicably, I sought Counsel, and the issue ended 10/29/25. The current legal threat against this review only underscores that my critique is not baseless. In my opinion, management displayed confrontational behavior, acting like bullies who strong-arm members into compliance. Please follow the instructions on the Dispute Resolution Clause to retain your legal rights. Save yourself the stress of dealing with any CP operated by this Owner. I was a loyal, repeat member from 2022 until this incident. Penalizing a repeat member for missing the cancellation deadline by 1 day is not a client-focused business model, in my opinion. How quickly the tables turn when you want to depart, but to the business's favor, not for the member.

I'm a fitness and wellness junkie who loves trying new ways to move my body. I've recently been…read morecurious about pilates and decided to take my first class at Impact Group Fitness in Fort Lee. I stumbled upon the studio on the ClassPass app. They're a one stop shop for HIIT, sculpt, and strength classes. They offer two different formats - low impact (sculpt, barre, pilates, yoga) and high impact (dance, strength, circuits, HIIT). I signed up for the 45 minute Mat Pilates class with Cassidy on a Tuesday night. They're located on a busy street, so you'll have to find metered parking. Upon walking in I was greeted by the warm receptionist. I signed a waiver and she gave me a tour. The studio is pretty small. It's squeaky clean, bright, and minimalistic. There's a "lobby"/waiting area with a merchandise display. They have changing rooms, a bathroom, coat hooks, and free lockers. They only have one group fitness room with a large mirror and barre. All of the equipment for the mat pilates class was already provided to us (mat, ankle weights, magic circle, and dumbbells). I like that the class sizes are small because I prefer a more intimate experience. There were about 12-15 of us. The instructor, Cassidy, started and ended the class right on time. Let me just say this. THIS WORKOUT HUMBLED ME. I consider myself to be a fairly fit individual, but this was a humbling experience. The workout was split into core, back, upper, and lower body with different exercises for each section. It was low impact with HIGH intensity and lots of reps. We focused on form, functional movement, and mind to muscle connection. Pilates has a big emphasis on targeting deep, stabilizing muscles through using precise movements. I was huffing and puffing LOL... I FELT THE BURN!!! My core stability, flexibility, and endurance was PUT TO WORKKKK. Definitely a challenge, but fun at the same time. Cassidy was encouraging and welcoming the entire time. There were women of all different shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. We didn't feel any pressure. She gave us modifications and corrections when needed. My only critique is that she could've paused and demonstrated each exercise before we started. She jumped right in after each set and it was a little hard to see her since I was in the far left corner. I also would've liked a little introduction to the class format before we began (especially for first timers), but that's just me being big on education lol. They have monthly memberships, class packs, and drop in rates. I'll be trying a few more classes through ClassPass and I may consider getting a membership afterwards. Should you try pilates? DUH. And for those who think it "looks or sounds easy".... OH PLEASE!!! Try it out for yourself. I absolutely think it's a workout that will be rewarding and challenging for everyone.

Before working with her, I had never strength-trained. She taught me the mind muscle connection. As a runner with a few imbalances, I really value how she builds in mobility, flexibility, and functional strength so I move and feel better overall. In five months, the progress has been amazing. Monica plans every session thoughtfully, challenging but never overwhelming, and always tailored to my needs. Her coaching style is the perfect blend of clear instruction, supportive energy, and just the right amount of push. What really sets her apart is her holistic approach. As a certified yoga teacher, she brings mindfulness and stress relief into each session, making every workout feel like a full reset. And as a chef with nutrition certification, her advice and meal plans are realistic, sustainable, and never restrictive. I couldn't ask for a better trainer. Monica is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely dedicated. I highly recommend her.

You need to get the facts straight first before you jump the gun on how friendly Frank was to me because that's simply NOT the case... My ID is 100% valid. Im retired like I told him several times This is what I clearly told Frank a year ago and he said that it was" no issue at all" ..So I ended up coming back to the club a year later to finally join up. He asked me for ID which I showed him, then he started to say oh didn't you come in here a year ago etc, so I said yes I did. He then tells me "oh your ID says retired you can join at the full rate" and "I told you last time that im not giving you the discount we offer ...(that's not true at all ), What he said was that it was NO ISSUE".. He started to examine my ID, hold it up to the light literally about 5 different times ,,,Not sure what that was about...I said Frank, " WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY ID- YOURE EXAMINING IT LIKE ITS A FAKE $100 BILL OR SOMETHING, I said is there an issue?????..and he says " OH NOTHING I WAS JUST LOOKING AT IT. He then continues to say he's not giving me the discount and he told me this last year. I said NO PROBLEM...I was leaving, asked him for my ID back, and he started taking pictures of my ID with his phone... Maybe you can clear that up for me Andrew..what was that about after I said no problem and was clearly leaving the club with my coat on. Why did he start taking pictures of My ID? I mean I could care less that you or him think my ID is not valid, I could care less about any discount, or joining your club..Thats not the point at all.. I just didn't appreciate the way I was treated..PERIOD. Its really as Simple as that..I hope this clears it up for you. My experience was not good.

Then , I begin to sprint to the church doors before they locked them... and man did I feel something. It was not cool. Good news: I made it to mass. Bad news: I was uncomfortable the whole time and started praying that my neck would be okay Good news: I found pinnacle wellness After church I was in so much pain. I was distraught and did not know what to do. I decided to do a google search and find a massage therapist to help me out. To give context: I was unable to move my head in circular movements and was very limited to turning my head to the sides. For example checking my blind spots while driving was like a complete nightmare and I could not drive normally. I found Laura on healthprofs.com and decided to give her a call. Shortly after , Tamara calls me back to schedule an appointment. She was so helpful and gave me good advice on managing my neck until my appointment the next morning. Since going I have not turned back! Laura helped my neck so much! Just after one session I had way less pain while moving. And after the second session I was back to normal. I now continue to go to improve my back. Not only is Laura caring and nice, but also exceptionally educated in her field. She's been healing people with massage therapy for time and it shows. My back feels lighter and better every time I leave. I am so grateful I found Laura and Pinnacle Wellness. Tamara instructs Pilates. Although I have not done Pilates with her, I typically see her working with her clients when I go for massage therapy. I've noticed that her clients all have smiles and Tamara is focused , helping them. Tamara and Laura are awesome and very professional. Not only are they passionate and great at their occupations but they truly are care and help others. I 1,000,000 % recommend Pinnacle Wellness!
