Peak Physique Personal training, conveniently located off Rt. 59 in Spring Valley next to Subway and Sprint, offers some of the best fitness experiences I've ever had. As an athlete, I grew tired of my membership to various large, yet unsatisfying gyms where there was no feel of personal worth or attention. Peak Physique is a small, yet fully equipped gym/personal training studio that, upon my signing up for both group classes and private training, changed my life. In my one on one sessions, I felt like each time I walked in for my biweekly appointment each workout was incredibly varied and developed exactly for what I asked my trainer to help me achieve. I never felt like I was wasting money or time. Every workout had me do routines that I, even as an experienced athlete, never did before. The Private sessions last an hour and the prices are definitely fair, I always got the full work out experience every session. The group classes are also awesome. They are usually offered 4 times a day, two early in the morning before work and two in the evenings, plus, a free boxing class on Thursday nights that I STILL go to every week even after being a client at Peak Physique for five years. That class is what made me fall in love with this training studio; it's properly sized and personal, fully equipped and the trainers are stern yet have a great sense of humor. Owner Steve Eckert, who happens to be my private instructor two days a week, always makes the free boxing class feel like it's just a normal group boxing session or boot camp workout. This place is definitely the bang for your buck type gym, no question. The owners even run a weight loss challenge pot every couple of months and the winner receives a cash prize, one year of over two thousand dollars! There is always something new going on at Peak Physique, and never in my years as a dedicated athlete have I experienced such a friendly, personal staff complemented by a truly at-home feeling studio. They have EVERYTHING, from free weights to machines to bikes and treadmills to boxing bags and burn machines to kettle bells and way more. They even offer Herbalife health supplements at fair prices, which I'd highly recommend to any athlete who needs to increase their energy levels or protein intake. Peak Physique isn't the average Planet Fitness or plain old gym with treadmills and a few benches for presses. Peak Physique is a comfortable, optimal fitness studio for anyone in the area looking for a more convenient environment in which to improve your health or get some workouts in at the times best for you. Peak Physique solved my problem; I couldn't find the perfect balance between a studio with proper equipment, knowledgeable trainers and a more personal environment. No fitness center compares, and no other gym finds the perfect combination of accessibility in their programs with the riveting intensity that every class at Peak Physique seems to offer. They are constantly proposing new classes and ideas which include health education, youth programs and marine inspired boot camps. My wife and I started seven weeks ago. I have not excercised in years but in reality I never really excercised. The trainers at PF train you in a manner that gets you working harder than you ever thought possible. Seven weeks in, we have never had the same workout and we now go 4-5 times a week. Our diet has toatally changed thanks to the guidance we received from the team and I am down over 20 lbs and my wife has lost 14. We feel better than we have in years. Also to note I pulled a calf muscle the first week and the trainers have worked with me to give me excercises that enable me to keep up with the class, continue to burn and sweat while allowing my injury time to heal. CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS WITH ANY WORKOUT!!! The hours are a huge benefit for any work schedule. I never believed in myself in loosing weight, but when i met Steve in my first consultation he had inspried me by helping in setting up my goals. Everyone feels its their second home and try keeping it clean everytime after the workouts. BEST OF ALL there was enough of a variety of equipment and ways to work out that I found appealing along with very knowledgeable coaches who are very friendly and with you all time. As professional coaches they provide numerous modifications to routines so that participants don't give up when it gets too hard (like slowing down your speed to keep going or reducing your dumbbell weight). read more

This gym is awful. They lie to their members and swear to care but they don`t. They are not a real gym. They are overcharged for no reason. Poorly clean, everything is black and filthy. They take your pictures and post them all over online and town without your permission. When you cancel, they keep charging your card, they have no real policies in affect. They make them up as they go. Its absolutely horrible dealing with them, they are not part of the community nor do they actually help the community. They lie and say they are donating but are not, they keep all the money for themselves. The owners are money hungry. read more
