Wonderful place. Semi camping, rusted cabins that bring you back to childhood. CLEAN bathrooms/showers (don't have to pay to use) w/excellent hot water. Relax by the pool, let the kids run free in the fields, visit the horses. Build a fire, play cards/board games, read a book on the deck. Great way to spend the weekend on a tight budget! REALLY love this place. Penny (the owner) is fantastic & great with kids. Great place for a group of adults to go too. Plenty of hiking, close to town. Get away and soak up the sun.

This place was a bit hard to find from a web presence but I'm glad I finally did. They don't take online reservations so that was a bit of a burden but once you get them on the phone, they are great to work with. Fantastic place to bring the family on an extended weekend. Easy to camp here in their cabins or tents, roast marshmallows, and BBQ it up. Just minutes from town. This place reminds me of something out of a story book. Beautiful red barn, green grass, flowers, a garden, picnic tables, tree swings, fire pits, and plenty of shady trees. Beyond the main house are the stables and they've got dozens of horses for trail riding or a huge arena for taking lessons. The owners are super friendly and can easily accommodate groups of various sizes. We brought our 2-yr old here with her friend and they absolutely adored this place. Did I mention they have a pool? Kids loved the pool, I loved chilling in the shade drinking a cooler of IPAs and BBQn bratwurst and steaks. There is an amazing butcher in the center of town (2 miles away) called Owens meats and I must have bought half the store. Long story short, you don't have to pack supplies before heading out to the Flying Horseshoe Rancg. Cabins were great. Nice, cozy, and had a fridge for my beer. :). We arranged a horse ride for the little ones and they were laughing and grinning ear to ear the whole time. I also stopped by the bakery in the morning to grab some munchies and coffees which worked out nicely. We'll definitely be coming back as it was an awesome experience.

Penny is awesome and very sweet. The ranch hands were also great. So this review isn't so much for the service as it is for the accommodations (tee pees, cookhouses, grounds). So we stayed up on the hill in the tee pee area. Allow me to clear up some things you might have questions about if you're considering the tee pee or canvas shelter or log cabin on the hill. First of all, I wouldn't take a nice car up there. Sure, you can get up the switchbacks on the dirt road, but it's rough and actually pretty rutted at the top in places. A Prius would bottom out in a few places for sure. I'd recommend a Subaru Outback or above. Second, once you're up on the hill, there's not a whole lot to do aside from hike around or ride bikes on the dirt paths. You'll find yourself "hanging around the fort" down by the ranch most of the day and just sleeping up on the hill. The issue is that it's fairly primitive (no bathrooms - just Honey Buckets) and you cannot have fires (which sucks if you're camping). Oh, and the price is steep for this type of rustic experience. I mean, you're essentially dispersed camping on someone's property in a tee pee with cots. For free you could do this nearby on the Teanaway River. We paid $220 for two nights in a tee pee including lodging and sales tax. Ouch. That's resort territory. I suppose if you split it between 4 adults $25ish/night isn't too bad, but for a family it all comes out of one account. I don't think it's a great value. The ranch itself is a bit run down. Don't expect a newer Marriott and you'll be ok. Think kids camp all the way. In other words, old decor, old wooden stuff, old signs, spider webs, etc. That's all part of a camp experience right? Yep. We were ok with it. But it certainly isn't "nice" so set your expectations low. As a tee pee guest you'll have access to the pool (again, old and run down but nice when it's hot) and the cookhouses, which include use of fridges, stoves, pots and pans, etc. You're kind of "in the caretaker's backyard" when you're in the cookhouses and picnic table eating areas, so keep that in mind. They never made us feel unwelcome, but we kind of felt like we were imposing or something when we had family meals. I guess I just cannot get over the price. $220 for use of a tee pee two nights. We also used the pool for a couple hours each day and the cookhouses for all of our meals. I don't know, that just seems expensive to me for what you get. For the record 3 stars isn't "bad" and my kids (5 and 7) loved it here. But it was a ton of work for mom and dad and we had to pay a hefty price for what we got. That said, roll the dice if you want to, especially if you have or love horses. This is a horselovers paradise. They really cater to those types of folks. We kind of ran out of things to do around the ranch as non-horse folks so we drove to nearby locations. I hope this review helps you make your decision.

The broth was perfectly seasoned, clams were cooked just right and it had an elegant touch of pork belly, saffron and smoked sausage. Genuinely one of the best orders of clams I've ever tasted. We also ordered the Halibut with a curried coconut sauce and the fried rice cake. The halibut was cooked perfectly, the rice cake was AMAZING!! Perfectly fried and paired so well with the intense and rich flavor of the coconut curry broth. The halibut was seriously the star of the show, you can tell it is fresh by the quality of the meat. My boyfriend was very surprised at how the risotto was prepared. He added steak to his risotto which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The texture and taste was spot on. Our server, Sharae was very pleasant and reccomended alot of amazing drinks to us as well. She took excellent care of us with having the balance Of professional yet fun/ outgoing personality. She was just the sweetest. We finished our meal with a mouthwatering LEMON tiramisu. Out of this world, Melts in your mouth!! Perfect absence of lemon, cream and the cake was rich and both delicate at the same time. 10/10 best restaurant in town. Will be back for breakfast. The owner Kim was so awesome, very fun to converse with. Her and Sharae made our experience very memorable. Thank you for taking great care of us!!

The server that got us was very friendly and nice. We ordered cocktails; a sparkling rose' for me and a jalapeño mojito for my husband. The jalapeño mojito was delicious. Just a tiny amount of heat and the jalapeño came through. I ordered a Caesar salad to start. Was topped with anchovies and was good and crisp. My husband ordered the halibut with green curry. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I got the pappardelle ragu because I was told it was fresh in-house made pasta. The sauce was good, but the noodles definitely didn't taste fresh or have in-house made texture. I wouldn't order it again. I was having fomo so we ordered the ribeye medallion crusted with potatoes and I wish we wouldn't have. It was the most bland dish I have had recently. I don't think the ribeye or the potatoes were seasoned. I get that it came on a sweet onion jam, but that was just sweet. There was no salt or pepper coming through at all on the meat or potatoes. I wish we would have sent it back. I am just not that person. Luckily with enough fresh ground pepper and salt at the table, it made edible. We told our server, she didn't seem to care. We decided we couldn't end on a bad note with the ribeye medallion, so we got the lemon tiramisu. I have never heard of lemon tiramisu. It was so good. I highly recommend. I saw the chop tomahawk come out of the kitchen multiple times and it looked amazing. Ambiance is great. There is an open kitchen so that can be loud. Be aware there are high top tables when you make reservations. Would definitely go back.

From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!

Unfortunately, after repeated experiences, it simply does not. As someone who frequently travels and dines at upscale restaurants and banquets, I can confidently say that what is marketed as refined here does not align with what is delivered. On multiple occasions, we found long dark hairs in our food -- including in my children's mac and cheese. This was not a one-time oversight. It became a pattern. Even more concerning, management-level staff with very long dark hair were consistently seen delivering food without it properly secured. When basic food safety standards appear optional at the leadership level, it speaks volumes. Beyond that, service execution is disorganized. Tables are crowded, and we repeatedly received incomplete settings or missing items -- condiments, steak knives, and at times portions of the meal itself. These are elementary details for any restaurant, let alone one positioning itself as upscale. The only bright spot was one blonde server named Sandi who handled the situation with professionalism and composure. She demonstrated the level of service the restaurant claims to embody. What ultimately makes the experience untenable is the atmosphere created by the head chef audibly yelling tickets and shouting at staff throughout service. A dining room should feel polished and controlled -- not chaotic and tense. After giving this establishment many opportunities to improve, we have decided not to return. High-end dining is not about price points or aesthetics -- it is about consistency, leadership, and standards. Those fundamentals are currently lacking here. Gorgeous place nonetheless.

I got it on my birthday instead of nookie and it took 10 days of medical treatment to expunge. I reported it to the health dept and they just repeated what the hotel told them about pH balance and sanitary levels. I spent three hours in a tub without a staffer taking levels. In Palm Springs, it is on the clock hourly. 2) in the snow tubing area, which was vast, I flew into a frozen pond and broke through to what smelled liked raw sewage, Suncadia reports it's just water run off. However Suncadia is simple and overwhelmed, like the Vegas version of the Eiffel tower instead of the real Effiel tower.
