So for the local area I've been to this location multiple times and it's been good each time. I've read some of the other reviews on a mix of quality but I think it's what you ask for. The foot massage is more intense to me but the body massage is more back work and more to my liking. read more

I went for a the Thursday Foot massage special which is $20, regularly $24. I was hoping it was just a foot massage, but they led me to a dark room, had me lay down on a bed while my feet hung off the end into a bucket of water. The lady massaged my face, head, ears, neck, then worked on my feet. Then she had me turn onto my belly and gave me a back, thigh and shoulder massage. It was a bit too intense, but I let her know and she worked a little softer. I really wasn't expecting the "all over" massage, just the feet, but it was good. I just have to say that the atmosphere seemed a little shady with a very feeble elderly woman all bundled up in the reception area. From other comments, she is there frequently, possibly the owners mother. Just seeing her made me feel so sad and while I was getting the massage I couldn't get her out of my mind. I should have just left when I saw her. I'll probably not frequent this place and pay more for a more legit place like Well Within with therapists that speak english and probably get paid well. read more

I got a 15 minute chair message for 15 minutes. I was feeling some tension in my neck and upper back. I walked in to Flying Crane and they hooked it up. Was feeling better minutes after leaving the F. Crane. I definitely recommend. read more

Do not get the chair massage. Within a couple if mins, I knew he was not trained and was awkwardly trying to massage my back. I usually go to chinese reflexology, across the street and this was a huge disappointment. Won't come back. read more

I needed a few days to recover from my horrible experience at the Flying Crane, but now that my bruising has subsided, I can post about the massage I received. First of all, this was the absolute worst massage (if you can call it that) I've received in my whole entire life. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a woman who had a terrible cold and was only able to breath heavily out of her mouth thereby sending her virus filled droplets everywhere! After paying 49.00 and adding a tip to the price of the massage (which I thought strange to do before the massage and not afterwards), she led me down a dark long hallway to use the restroom. The bathroom was dirty with an odd shower positioned in the corner. At this point, I should have left and gotten my money back, but instead I stayed (bad move). The massage room was of decent size, but the carpet was dirty, the clock displayed the wrong time, and there was no music playing, so all I could hear was the loud yapping between employees and their customers. Who knows if the sheets were even clean! I don't want to let my mind go there. The actual massage was very awkward due to the heavy breathing and burping coming from the masseuse's mouth. After she pulled the sheet off of my back, she tucked it into my underwear and left 1/2 of my but exposed the whole entire time. She started the massage by rubbing oil on my back in a soft manner which did absolutely nothing, followed by extremely intense rubbing but in all the wrong places! I had to tell her to please stop rubbing the hell out of by shoulder blades and sacrum (don't get me wrong, I enjoy deep tissue massages but on the muscle, not the bone!) I actually have bruises on my back from all of her aggressive massaging. In addition, she had to leave the room twice during the massage (I have no idea why). The lower body portion of the massage was pretty much non-existent, and when she did work on my legs it was mainly just a gentle touch or tapping with way too much oil (they probably use some sort of cheap cooking oil as massage oil). She finished the massage with a face rub. This completely disgusted me, as she was ill and spreading her germs all over my face. This woman was incompetent, knew nothing about the human body and to top it off did not speak a word of English (which made it very difficult to communicate what I needed). After the massage I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Feeling weirdly violated, I went home, ripped off all my contaminated clothes, stuffed them in the hamper and got in the shower immediately. Needless to say, I will not be going back to the Flying Crane--EVER. read more

not one to give bad reviews, or any reviews for that matter but today my masseuse fell asleep 9 times during my 60 minute massage and never even touched my back. my masseuse and the lady at the front desk pretty much forced me to tip $5 on a $24 massage. i have never felt so uncomfortable and stressed after a massage. i will not be returning and will warn my friends to not go. read more

Two times is all I could stand. This place is horrible. No ceilings. Constant talking in the other rooms! The last time I went in for a hour and a half and the girl stopped after one hour and started to walk out of the room. I asked her where she was going and she told me my hour was up. She didn't know it was an hour and a half massage. The owner only wants cash so she doesn't have to pay taxes. She should be reported to the state authorities! read more

I went to the Flying Crane in Capitola. Provider had no English at all, and was poorly trained. Just a pummeling in fact and it was not balanced on both sides. I was forced to lie down on my back with my knees bent and lower leg and feet hanging over the edge into two inches of tepid water in a bucket. Flat on my back with legs hanging down??? Quite a strain on my lower back. Let me say that in China my foot massages were always SEATED comfortably and the water bath (in a larger basin) is tailored to your desired degree of heat. There is actual science and training necessary for the employees of the massage parlors in China and this is a pale, weak, poor shadow of the real thing. Worst massage I have EVER received, and I've had many and worked as a CMT for 20 years myself. I had been here once before and it was awful (someone was snoring on the other side of the curtain and when i went up front to complain, it tuned out it was the employee who was supposed to be massaging me, and then he coughed over me the entire time), but for some insane reason I thought I'd give them one more try. The woman demonstrated absolutely no evidence of any professional training whatsoever. Not only did she rub the same area over and over and over, she rubbed bone over bone, right over my spine with her elbow and forearm! That alone was reason to jump off the table. And after many attempts to communicate it hurt and was too hard, too deep, or softer, less pressure, etc to no avail, I had to sit up and say just stop, at which point she went to get the manager. I should have left at that point as it only got worse. I finally just turned over and said please move on to arms and legs which she then proceeded to skip and just rubbed my shoulders over and over and over. And then said ok all done. Oh hell no! She got the manager again who asked if I wanted to pay EXTRA for another half hour on my feet! Was she high?! I didn't want to pay anything, and I wasn't leaving without my feet rubbed. She complied and rubbed them for 5 minutes before finishing. I sat there in shock feeling violated in some way. Who allows these cheap places to operate? is it some kind of sweat shop? Something is seriously wrong here. Oh, and did I mention she farted in the room? Just let it rip. Wow. Do yourselves a favor and just say no. read more

Decent massage. Husband and I went for an hour couples massage. It's safe to say each employee has there own style of massage therapy. I left with bruises on my lower back from repeated "deep massage" in the same spot. Might try a foot massage next time. read more

This was the WORST experience as far as "couples massage" that my fiancé and I have EVER experienced!! And that is in 13 years of being together!! The two employees that came in at the beginning acted like they understood absolutely NO English, but the one that worked on him kept speaking to him in English when making innapropriate moves to uncover him. The second who was working on me, used what I refer to as her "Crane move" to crane my neck the opposite direction and cover my eyes as she said (in her language) to her co-worker something that we could not understand as I see her climb up onto my partner! It was very clear to us that it was time for the massage to end. We will NEVER go back. This was NOT what we wanted and we will NOT recommend to anyone. By the way, the woman working on me, was just as inappropriate and at times had me in such comprising positions that I felt like getting up and walking out. And I am a pretty open and easy going person. So that takes someone really pushing me past the comfort zone to do that. In both circumstances, they had each of us on our stomachs with our legs spread and the sheet pulled aside and legs were being pretzeled up and backwards leaving all parts exposed.
