I've been getting massages 1-5 times a week for over 30 years, all over the world, so I don't say this lightly: this place is a 10/10. I've had two 2-hour massages and one 60-minute session here, and every single one was excellent--incredible technique, perfect pressure, deeply relaxing, and truly therapeutic. Aida is magical. This was my first "real" massage! Visited for the first time and it was an overall positive experience. I got the full body and foot massage which lasted about an hour. What worked: --the prices were extremely reasonable. I haven't seen a spa that can compete with the massage prices here -- no appointment was needed, I was able to just walk in on a Saturday -- most of the massage was really pleasant. I loved the hot rocks that they used and the leg and foot part of the massage was so nice, I could've fallen asleep during it -- the masseuse checked in two or three times to make sure I was alright with the pressure which I appreciated -- the room felt clean and private. Nice and warm, too -- I never felt over-exposed. The masseuse was great about keeping my body covered with a sheet when she wasn't actively massaging that spot. She also held the sheet up for me when I turned my body which added to the feeling of modesty/coverage What didn't work: -- this was my first massage so I didn't know what to expect. The masseuse didnt tell me how much to undress (I had to guess and hope it was okay) or ask any questions about areas that I'd like the massage focused on/areas that might be sensitive. Not a big deal but something that first timers should be aware of -- The masseuse was strong!! The pressure was intense and sometimes painful, but she reduced her pressure when I asked. I think someone who likes firm pressure or who has a lot of tension would really benefit! Overall, I had a positive experience and I'd go again now that I know what to expect. I think they may need to give a little more info or prep for first-timers but someone who knows what they want from a massage will have an awesome time here. Lisa was amazing! I usually go over the hill to Burke Williams but didn't want to deal with the rain and a lane closure so I went to Santa Cruz locals on Facebook and they suggested this place. I was a little hesitant because I've never been here and the price was a lot less than I'm used to, but I called about 15 minutes before they were scheduled to open and the woman who answered was friendly and able to schedule me 30 minutes after they opened I showed up about five minutes before my appointment. They were both friendly and Courteous & asked me if I was cold as well as What type of pressure I would like, and they checked in with me throughout the massage. I think lisa did a wonderful massage I was different than I was used to, but I was impressed with the quality and she did some type of stretching technique. I also liked the hot stone at the which there wasn't an up charge for that as well and was a really nice addition . I will definitely be back and highly recommend it. read more

I saw all the good reviews and decided that I would give this place a try and get a message. Oh boy was that a mistake. When I entered the establishment I was never greeted by the front desk associate. When I approached the front desk and inquire about the services they offered the associate spoke is such a disrespectful manner that I had to leave. Although the associate was rude I respectfully said thank you and took a business card and took my bissnes elsewhere. Reply#1 to business owners original response. I never entered through the side door although I did notice when parking that it was open and in my opinion that's kinda shady. You can see directly in to the area where your customer receive their massages. That has to be a violation of their privacy. I entered the reception area through the front entrance. Then I approached the front desk and asked for a 30 minute massage. It was close to there closing time so I didn't want to make them stay longer then necessary. The associate reply back in the most disrespectful way, tone and words. She said " one hour only. Just massage and nothing else. I felt so unwelcome that I left immediately after saying thank you and taking a bissnes card. I believe that they treat all male patrons in this manner. They are rude and disrespectful because they believe that every man is there for nefarious reason and that in my opinion is sexisism at it's finest. Your statement are false and defamatory. They grossly misrepresent what happened. Slander is an actionable offense and I hope you keep your "surveillance" footage and I hope it has audio. Wow! This place is amazing! My husband and I called around 11am on a Saturday and wanted a 2pm couples deep tissue massage appt, they didn't have any so they said 2:30pm so we took that. When we arrived we saw the colorful walls and decor. We had to wait 10 minutes so they didn't start our massage until 2:40. Lola and Lucy were our masseuse. I had Lola, and boy was she strong and I love a strong massage. The pressure was perfect and I even fell asleep so did my husband. The hot stone and essential oils came with the massage for only $120 for both of us. We both tipped $20 each for a relaxing wonderful massage ($40) total. We would totally go back to this place, service was great and plenty of parking! We came back for a second time 3 weeks later and we had Lola again and this time Kelly and they were both great. Update: I cannot believe the unprofessionalism of this supposed business owner. Even after I blocked her phone number, she texted me today from her Apple ID. She is clearly mentally unstable. Screenshots attached. Your should really steer clear! My husband and I were in the area for my birthday weekend, and we love a good couples massage. I called here, and they had availability the next day, which was perfect. We arrived early and were taken right back. I needed to use the bathroom first, but someone was in it. The lady who led me back started knocking on the door loudly and impatiently, so I thought maybe she knew an employee was in there. No, after a few minutes another client came out, apologizing and saying the toilet was backed up. I felt bad she'd been pounding on the door while he tried to handle his business. Yikes. So I went to the bathroom and unfortunately, he was right. Toilet wouldn't flush, not much I could do about it. My husband and I were placed in a room together, and honestly the room smelled musty, like if your clothes sit damp for too long before you dry them? That kind of musty. Being face down on the tables kind of grossed me out, thinking maybe they weren't quite clean. But we went with it. The first 15 minutes (we paid for 90) were done over the sheet. As in we are under a sheet and they massage through it. We didn't say anything, and it felt okay, but I was thinking, "I really hope this isn't the way they do it for 90 minutes." It wasn't. Sheet came off, oil came out. My masseuse kept asking me if the pressure was okay (it was), but my husband's didn't utter a single word to him the entire time we were there. Normally a masseuse will ask what your problem areas are, any areas you want to avoid, but nothing like that here. Most of the massage felt good, but I couldn't quite fully relax. I had left my underwear on, which apparently meant nothing to my masseuse, since she proceeded to pull them down almost all the way underneath my cheeks and rub all over my ass. Don't get me wrong, I don't think she was trying to be a pervert, but I didn't like it. There's a reason I kept them on, and it wasn't so a stranger could pull them down and feel me up anyway. I ended up reaching down and pulling them up, and apparently she got the hint. Normally I ask them not to touch my head as well because I don't like getting an oily scalp, but again, she didn't ask, just rubbed oil all over my freshly washed hair. At the end of the massage, they got out the hot stones. I normally enjoy this, but not this time. It wasn't like nice, relaxing, purposeful strokes. They scrubbed vigorously with them. Like someone washing clothes with an old school washboard. The overall ambience was just not pleasant either. They had a little iPad on the floor in the hallway walking back to the separate rooms that played music in the hallway, but it was barely audible in the room. They could've played music on a cell phone even, but nothing, so it was pretty much silent in the room except the few whispers between them and all the talking coming from elsewhere. Anytime someone walked in the front, we could hear "hello!" loudly from the desk and then the customer asking for an hour or an appointment or whatever. Nothing at all relaxing or pleasant about it. My masseuse delivered a firm pressure the entire time, but my husband said his was too firm and that 70% of it was painful. I'd suggest going elsewhere. Additionally, after the owner saw my review, she CALLED me! Once I realized who she was, I hung up, as I don't think there's really anything to discuss. Within seconds of hanging up, she called me AGAIN! Who does that? I ended up blocking her number. read more

I live close to this spot and never heard of them until I seen the reviews on yelp. If you want more of a spa feel I recommend this place. Everyone seems pretty nice and professional. The front desk lady with the gorgeous nails was nice to offer me some tea and small talk which is nice. It smells good and seems taken care of by the looks of everything. I got the A package for 80 dollars. It's 60 minute body massage and includes a 15 minutes body scrub. I had two ladies massage me. I forgot to ask what the names were but they were great! Well my sister and brother in law purchased a massage for me as a Christmas gift. They live on the east coast so they called the establishment and purchased it over the phone. They texted me the receipt so there would be no issue when I went in for my scheduled appointment. I went this morning (12-27 at 10 am) and they asked for the gift card. I did not have one but showed her the copy of the receipt but that was not good enough I was told, I needed to show a gift card. I called my sister and she said that they were not told a physical gift card would be needed. Needless to say, they literally pushed me out the door and said no gift card, no massage. Thank god my sister's bank was able to pull the funds back from their account. Never going to go back and never will recommend. Why can't you give a zero star rating? read more

Let's be clear-the massages have been fantastic. I've had 2 massages in the last few months by 2 different women. Both were phenomenal. I write because of the unusual character of this business. The first time I went, the doors were locked, I had to knock, and no one seemed to know I had an appointment. Eventually I was put in a room and someone came in at some point for the massage to begin. They hadn't yet started their relaxing spa music but it started about 10 minutes into my massage. I could hear women yelling or talking to one another throughout the massage. The masseuse magically knew how much pressure to apply and the areas of focus. I'm used to a massage therapist asking about areas of focus or injuries before the massage starts. It wasn't a big deal that it didn't happen on my first visit since the masseuse seemed to be intuitive or lucky or both. Following my second visit today, I had to write a review. Again, I was asked if I made an appointment when I entered. No one was at the front desk but someone finally emerged with an egg roll or burrito in her mouth and a cell phone in one hand. Greeting customers in a professional manner was not her focus as she talked with the food in her mouth and questioned if I called for an appointment. I responded that I'd texted with someone two days ago to confirm the appointment. I was put into the same room as the first time, again without any conversation except "follow me in here" then she eventually came back to shut the door so I could change while she continued eating her breakfast and talking on her cell. That person that greeted me is the same person that did todays massage. I could feel her long nails against my skin at various points during the massage but mostly it wasn't distracting. When I asked for more pressure at one point she complied beautifully. After it was done, I went to pay. She asked if I had cash but I said I didn't have enough so paid by debit card. They charge $5 more if you don't pay in cash - $85 vs $90 for a 90 min massage. When I asked her to break a $20 into two $10's so I could give a $10 tip, she said I should be giving me more than a $10 tip given the total price of the massage. Yes I was giving 10% but is that not acceptable? She asked me to give her at least $15, and I responded "are you actually asking me to give you a higher tip?" I reminded her I didn't have to give a tip at all. She just stared at me so I asked again for two $10's. She stormed off then brought them back. When I ended up leaving a $13 tip instead of the $10 that I originally offered or the $15 that she requested, she stormed into a room and slammed the door. No thank you. No goodbye. Just be prepared for odd behavior if you go enjoy their great massage work. read more
