I had recently obtained a quote from Flush Plumbing and Heating for a small project. Their estimate was in-line with two other local plumbers. I ended up giving the job to Flush Plumbing, largely due to the positive reviews I've read here. On the day of the install, a few hours into the project, the plumber tells me that due to this and that, the original quote (a few hundred dollars) will actually be a few thousand. He went into all sorts of technical details to justify this bait and switch move. Needless to say, the project was fairly straightforward, with no surprises or obstacles during the install. His reason was that the materials needed for the work was more expensive than anticipated. Not sure how a legitimate plumber goes from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Since they were already halfway done with the work I agreed to their extortion scheme, but I will most certainly not calling them ever again. To everyone else in Castle Rock looking for a honest plumber, look elsewhere. The real kicker was when the owner of the company showed up in person in the end and demanded payment immediately, as if I was going to stiff them. They're dishonest, sleazy and use bait and switch tactics. I'll be filing complaints with the town. read more

We were disappointed with Flush Plumbing. We had them come out to our 14 year old home when we had our kitchen sink plumbing line plugged up. On May 15th they opened the line so that water would flow out And we could run the kitchen sink and dishwasher. We paid them $275. Within 2 to 3 weeks later the kitchen sink was stuffed again. Now since the plumbing line was running well for 14 years it seems as though this line was not cleaned out fully and we had another plugged kitchen line. They came back out to again clear the line, which they did. Then we received another bill for $165. They claimed we must have stuffed more garbage down the drain, which I know is not true, as I took extreme care to not put anything down the drain. I expected they would cover the cost of the 2nd call, but instead they accused me of plugging the drain again. This should have been treated as a warranty repair since it wasn't cleared fully. Flush Plumbing recently replaced the shut off valves to my toilets as well as made minor adjustments to the toilets' water flow. The service tech did a very good job. The low rating was given because of the exorbitant rates charged by the company. The service tech completed all repairs in about 60 minutes. That's' the good news. The bad news is that the 60 minutes cost me $325 for the labor. There was nothing difficult about the repairs and yet my labor rate was $325/hour. I discussed the rate with the owner of the company and his comment was that the labor charge of $325 was "fair". You will get good service from Flush Plumbing but expect to pay BMW prices for it! read more

We had a large leak from a kinked ice maker line and had a number of problems with Flush Plumbing. First they would not send a plumber to evaluate it because the receptionist told me it sounded related to installation and wouldn't be covered by our home warranty. Then when we filed a claim with our home owners insurance company, they required a formal written evaluation from a plumber to verify the cause, they agreed to send someone out but couldn't get me a receipt on the same day to send to our home owners insurance. The plumber Flush Plumbing sent did a great job. The receptionist, Jenna, however, was unprofessional. She said the plumber would turn in his report at the end if the day and that she would get to the receipt at some point the next day. I explained that I am nine months pregnant and trying to get repairs lined up as quickly as possible before I go I to labor in the next week or two but that nothing could be scheduled until I turned that receipt in. Her exact words were, "I'll get to it when I get to it sweetie." It's 10AM and I called back just now to ask that she make it a priority so that materials for the repair could be ordered today. "I'll get to it some time today," is what I got from her. I've never written a negative review, but I'm in a tough spot and with a toddler running around an open construction zone and a baby arriving any day now, I would really have appreciated better customer service. read more

Rick, Josie and Troy did a great job and I felt the pricing was very fair on my new state of the art water heater. I also thought I needed a new sump pump, but Troy told me what he thought was really wrong, made a temporary fix, and saved me the cost of a new sump pump. The Service was OK, nothing out of the ordinary,........ but when tech came to our house, he was not able to provide charging rates, indicated we would get a bill in the mail and a week later you get a $136! bill to snake your kitchen sink that took your tech 15 minutes!!!! that is pretty abusive- your prices are not affordable, they are to rip off each customer, but with this business practice -rest a sure you will NOT HAVE RETURNING CUSTOMERS!!!! We were experiencing a sewer gas odor in one of the bathrooms. The technician felt it was from the pipe clean outs. He removed the decorative covers installed by the builder and used electrical tape to cover the screw hole in each clean out cover. An appointment was scheduled for a week later to replace the covers. As I was using the kitchen and laundry room, we discovered water on the lower level leaking out of the clean out covers since the holes were taped over with electrical tape. Part of the sheet rock had to be removed due to how wet/soggy it was and water had to be mopped up on the floors. Of course this happened on a Friday night, so I left a message, there is no emergency service number available. Not confident I would receive a call back since the message is business hours are Mon-Fri, I started calling other plumbers to address the problem. I did not think it was reasonable to have to wait a week to only have water available without causing leaks in the master bath. They did return my call but by that time, I already was scheduled with an emergency service. The cost to address their mistake was not cheap and the damage to my walls still needs to be repaired. They offered the same technician to come to the house to switch the clean out covers. Why would I ever trust the person who caused the damage to fix the problem correctly? Overall, a stressful and terrible experience. STAY AWAY. read more

I used these guys a couple of times for some minor plumbing issues. Then, I called to have the guts in one of my toilets replaced. The guy was on time and did the replacement in very quick order. Problem was that afterward the toilet rocked front to back. The same guy came back to repair the rocking and before long, he said "Bob, I think I owe you a new toilet". I had a look and the base of the toilet was cracked through. He over tightened the tank to the base when the tank was not the problem. THREE WEEKS LATER, the owner, Rick who I've known for years came to the house with another guy and didn't even say hello. Completely ignored me. I was now the bad guy since I had expected they would act in a timely manner. They installed the toilet and fixed a couple of leaks the first guy left us with, and then had the gall to try to charge me for the removal and haul-off of the old toilet. It was roughly 300.00. I emailed them and said that I would wait for another invoice in the correct amount. They thought that I would miss it. Word of caution! The owner is turning over the company to his sons who apparently have NO experience running a business. Kind of like our government officials. read more

We bought an older home and we did a lot of updates. We had a very old boiler we didn't replace. If it wasn't for Rick, Troy, Aaron we would have not been able to make the boiler last for many years beyond its life expectancy.When it came time to replace the boiler their price was more than fair. Rick and the guys have worked on our home for many other issues. We put in a lift station in the basement, they did the whole job for a reasonable price as well. They have fixed many plumbing issues, replaced a gas line to our fire box. They are as others said not the cheapest or most expensive, but they are honest and they do only work that needs to be done. They are very nice and people you can trust in your home. They are prompt, courteous, and honest. We don't have to worry about them trying to " find" things to be wrong, they are very good at spending what ever time is needed to diagnose a problem. I am not sure what some people expect from their plumbers, electricians, etc. They are not magicians! Flush Plumbing has been to our house many times and I cannot say enough good things about them! Super nice guys, really knowledgeable and always on-time. We have had them quote jobs and they are not the cheapest nor the most expensive--I'd call it fair. But the real value are the options they provide to solve the problems. Most recently, they worked on a, "mysterious" hot water issue which took multiple attempts to diagnose. The guys were methodical and persistent until the problem was solved. Most others would have just replaced everything that "could" have been the issue and charged us for the whole thing! Flush Plumbing came to repair my bathroom sinks (which were leaking). After various attempts to staunch the flow, he proclaimed that the faucet was bad and that I needed a new one. He went on to explain that the company would charge me $60 to take out an existing (and practically new) bathroom faucet and another $120 to install a new one (which I would have to purchase). After some investigating, I found that all I needed was a new washer. 99¢ at the local Ace and the faucet works fine. Beware! read more

Very UNhappy. I felt overcharged and nickel and dimed. ADA faucets start at $24 at Home Depot; I was charged more then $120 for one by this company PLUS the cost of installing it. Same thing with the toilet. Then there is the "supplies" at $36. No itemization of what the "supplies" were or why they needed 3 of them. read more

OVER PRICED. The tech had to go get a small Vent sensor, at first he replaced the pilot ignition unit, when that didn't fix it he finally figured out it was the small vent sensor. Shot gun techs..... if they would have tested the circuit they would have seen they had a sensor that was shutting down the circuit. They charged me $287.00 for the repair, not my fault it took the tech 4 hours to repair a small part.. The part was $15.00. I would have paid the 115.00 service call charge and $15.00 When I received the bill my first thought! They don;t want a new customer. read more

Kevin was excellent and so friendly. He was able to fix our leaking pipes under our sink that a crappy plumber hired by home depot messed up while installing with our new counters & new sink...I could have done a better job myself with the plumbing and actually did fix the leaks temporarily. Leaks came back, so I finally called a professional. Flush was referred to us by my father-in-law and they are excellent! Kevin installed our garbage disposal and set up our pipes so there were no leaks and took the time to cut older pipes out and install all new pipes to get our drain system working perfectly. He also tightened our faucet, which was loose (again another poor job done by the contractor hire by home depot). I should have had Flush just come out to begin with rather than think that home depot would hire good plumbers to do our install. We will continue to use Flush for all of our plumbing needs. read more
