The real name of this restaurant insiders the Walmart

Food and prices don't match. The food is below par with Chicago food. But they love charging you Chicago styles prices. They theme their restaurant to be Chicago but fall short. Feels more like a high school cafeteria. If the prices drop then I will consider 3 to 4 stars; 4 stars is being generous. I had a shrimp torta which the bread felt like it was abused and hanging on. Shrimp was mini or smallest used for the Mexican sandwich. I didn't think to take a picture. Looked at the charge on my Apple Pay and it's not even the name listed as their restaurant; but they continue to use flukey's name. The charge was from "Hot Dogs Burgers and Buddies"; scam!! The store manager at that Walmart should be held accountable!

Quick bite before shopping. A quick stop before shopping at Walmart or after. The menu is fairly simply just some fast food and some Mexican food. Nothing extraordinary just a simply place to grab a bite. Honestly didn't really think my meal was worth it. The chicken burrito subpar for a Mexican food. I should have went with an simply order of hamburger or something. Horachata isn't that refreshing comes off as instant, there a watery finish/aftertaste. A convenient bite nothing more nothing less.

What do you really expect for a place inside Wal-Mart? I mean really... It's not exactly screaming five star food. It's clean. The food is okay. I like that it's convenient for when I want something to nibble on while I'm waiting the always super extra long line for returns. They have fast food. Hot dogs, burgers, cheesesticks, etc. The guys at the counter are always cordial. Not extra nice or friendly, but cordial. They do their job. Not much to say for this place. Obviously not a place for you to go out of your way for, especially since the parking lot is always a disaster. But if you're gonna be in Wal-Mart for awhile, stop in. They now serve breakfast and also have kids meals.

I came here looking for the Fluky's fat-free, all-beef hot dogs. Unfortunately, I learned from the employees that Fluky's shut down its hot dog business almost 10 years ago, which explains why I can't find them anywhere in the grocery stores anymore. I tried their Chicago dog and fries anyways and of course, it doesn't taste like the same hot dogs that Fluky's is originally known for. The hot dog meat was acceptable, but it wasn't the best. I will continue to get my Chicago dog from Portillo's instead. The french fries were exactly like McDonald's style fries, which are fine. Anyhow, I was terribly disappointed for being misled by Fluky's logo of the storefront sign and on all the takeout wrappers/containers.

I am no stranger to Dear Franks of Niles; I visited it several years ago for lunch during one of my…read moresummer jobs in-between college semesters. Since then, I have off-and-on ordered from nearby restaurants yet with an interest in revisiting Dear Franks at some point. It was not until I recently discovered its veggie and plant-based items on the menu when I made it a high priority to visit, being that I am now a vegetarian. After attending training at my job which sits no more than a mile from Dear Franks, I made my visit. Its location sits along W Touhy Ave amongst a mixture of restaurants and shopping stores that are relevant to the community of Niles. I was acknowledged shortly after I walked in and up to the counter to look at the menu which was plastered above the counter. It took me some time to look at the menu because the menu online differed from the menu onsite above the counter. I had a taste for a veggie hot dog, but I did not see it featured on the menu above the counter, figuring that it was no longer an option at the time. So, I ended up ordering their veggie burger, fries, and a drink which was completed within several minutes. While paying, I could not help but notice Turano products near the register. Turano baking company, a family-owned bakery that produces authentic and delicious breads. I drive by Turano's daily enroute to my primary job and it is hard not to notice its building exterior, which has a commanding presence. Being that I have had the interest in visiting Turano's for some time now, I ended up purchasing a Turano - chocolate chunk cookie to go along with my veggie burger, fries, and drink. Maybe now after purchasing the chocolate chunk cookie, it will urge me to visit its location in Berwyn. I chose to dine-in at Dear Franks since I had plenty of time in my day, plus I figured that I still had time to beat the traffic on Edens Expressway enroute back to Chicago. The inside of Dear Franks appeared clean, and the atmosphere gave off a sporty vibe with pictures of Chicago sports teams, and iconic sporting moments in history of those teams featured. And there are a number of tables with seats available inside of the dining area, plus a television plastered on the wall near the entrance for viewing pleasure as you eat. The crinkle-cut fries were the first item I started off with eating. Though not as good as Portillo's crinkle-cut fries, ketchup certainly complimented them well. From that point on, I could not resist eating them all after the addition of ketchup. I moaned in enjoyment after my first bite of the veggie burger; it was garnished with everything I requested such as ketchup, mustard, lettuce, and tomatoes! It was very satisfying indeed. Taking note of everything I experienced: service, ambiance, and food, I have to say that it was a good experience. And with that I would gladly re-visit Dear Franks of Niles again whenever in the Niles area. Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Food: 5 ~Nourish your soul. ~ Thomas G

I ordered the chopped salad and my husband got a hot dog and fries. The chopped salad with some customization is one of my favorite salads. It comes with a piece of bread. The bread potion size varies, but this time it was quite generous. The salad has iceberg and romaine lettuce that is always crisp and fresh. the dressing is a sweet. Italian vinaigrette. The fries are also some of my favorite. They are crinkle cut french fries , crispy on the outside but soft inside. This is probably one of the best Portillo's around.
