A very quick experience.. less than 15 minutes. The place is small and tight. With some bar seating and they also have outdoor space. The menu is straightforward; service was quick and good. We ordered a Chicago dog with fries and a polish. It was really good and I'll definitely would go back to try other items.

Mustard's Last Stand is a classic hot dog stand. They have a variety of fast food classics like hot dogs, burgers, fries, milkshakes. The inside isn't very big but it's fun and fast. There are some places to sit but more to wait. I ordered a classic Chicago dog with everything and fries and a shake. The food was good and it was about 16.00 for everything. I'm glad I tried it. I liked the dog but I've had better fries. The milkshake was made by hand which was fun. Glad I got to try this Evanston staple. I think it might be more fun in the summer!

Next stop on my tour of Chicago's recommended hot dogs! Absolutely hit the spot. I got the Chicago Jumbo Hot Dog charred with no onions, no relish, and extra pickle. It was delicious and the fries were also great. Makes sense why it was recommended.

I rate Mustards cheeseburger with onions, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and hot peppers among the finest du monde!

Another old school hotdog stand shop, great place to grab food before a graduation at NorthWestern. Hotdogs are good, but would definitely pass on the Mac n cheese. It's small inside so it can get crowded easily, they have seating outside.

A the prize Vienne Beef hot dog on a poppyseed bun w/pickes, sport peppas, onions, tomato & relish (my mistake on the relish)

"Mustards Last Stand" cool hot dog stand in Evanston adjacent to the soon to be demolished Ryan Field. I have been going past this location for decades & finally decided to check it out. Kind of a cool old place that's been around since 1969. Boy did I take my time getting here. The restaurant is really dated & has a ton of old photos of different sports figures of by gone era (kind of like me lol ). It was kind of cool to finally stop in and share in the moment. I ordered a hot dog but not just any hot dog a Vienna Beef dog w/everything except relish. You can't go wron w/a Vienna Beef hot dog in my eyes. It was good hot dog but nothing that jumped out at me

Cool. I have seen these in years

I have wanted to try this place out for a while. This is exactly what you think of when you hear "Mustards last stand". This institution has been these for 54 years and continues to pull in people from all ages and backgrounds. The ambiance is very... no frills, get your food, and move on. The candy and small toys machine take you back to a day where they were more commonplace. The signs are backlit, black letter, paper in cellophane, and poster board. No digital signage here. The food is your basic diner food. I order the #4 special which was a double cheeseburger, fries, and a medium drink for $14.99. It was delivered fast, hot, and in a nice basic paper bag. I noticed they have corn dogs as well, so I am going to need to go back for that. The burger was exactly what you would expect for a grill burger. Not a griddles burger, the grates on the grill seared the pattern to give you that char you would expect. The fries are shoestring, and the oil they are cooked in brought forth a flavor that you can tell included the other foods cooked in the fryer. This is not the place to go if you are gluten free. Overall, I liked it. I will be going back.

great place! i recently moved around this area and i immediately fell in love with this place. the workers are friendly, the atmosphere has a 70s-80s type of vibe, and i be eating tf out their hot dogs in less than 40 seconds.

I think this place is more nostalgic to people than it is great food. I was craving a cheeseburger so came here for the first time. I got the cheeseburger special with small fry and medium drink The price with tax was $13.00 something. The burger was thin and frozen as were the fries. I think there is better value for money elsewhere along with more comfortable seating. Also I just hope this place was cleaner than it looked.

Good place for a Chicago Dog. Ask for well done fries. When we were there, it was slow, so we got quick service.

I inquired of staff that if they're always sold out why they don't just make more With attitude she said to me "well we always sell out at seven in the morning." I was then informed, that if they made more, they would just sell out at 7 AM anyhow, and that I should show up before 7 AM to get in line before they open. If you regularly run out of a product, a smart business person would make more. Overall, when I've had them their products are good. The breads and pastries are awesome However, the snarky attitude from the staff is unacceptable. I will definitely minimize the number of times I come to the store because of their frequent morning stockouts on products.

It seemed like they ran out a lot of their fresh bakery items, but there still was a lot to choose from. My friend bought a sourdough loaf & it was gorgeous! We didn't get to try it, but it looked good. I bought a chocolate chip cookie, 1 chocolate croissant, 1 plain croissant, 1 ham and cheese croissant, no pics listed below. - Their croissants are honestly really good, crispy and flaky. - The chocolate chip cookie was like a generic chocolate cookie, nothing rly special about it. Also bought their brioche sandwich and I think it's overpriced for what it's worth. I think it had like their signature jam or something on it with a egg & bacon, it was $12. It's a tad bit pricy for something so basic. Overall, their service was fast. Their employees were nice and their ambiance was fun. I love me some fresh baked goods. I'd go back for more croissants!

My friend and I decided to get lunch to-go and eat at her place. We both were intrigued by the same two sandwiches, so we decided to order both and split them. I highly recommend this approach since everything is so delicious! We ordered the Chana Melt and the Paneer Tikka sandwiches. Both were so tasty! We had a slight preference for the Chana Melt, but we agreed we loved the Paneer Tikka, so splitting was perfect! The sides are also scrumptious! The coleslaw is crisp and refreshing and the cumin chips are decadent and delicious. I even liked dipping the chips in the coleslaw. Yum! Prices were very reasonable and the order-ahead was super slick and easy. The store front is cute and inviting and the pickup for the food was seamless. No complaints! I can't wait to try Inspired Indian Cooking again, especially the sandwiches we didn't try. Delicious! And vegetarian! Amazing!

The Bombay sandwich is extraordinary. Generous amount of ingredients that will satisfy any and all cravings you might have for spicy, sweet, salty, crunchy, pickled, fresh and vibrant. It's not a cheap sandwich, but it's big and split into 2, and since it comes with good quality Indian-spiced chips and a colorful and mayo-free slaw that satisfies the bitter part of the flavor spectrum, you have a complete lunch to share with a friend. I'm really picky about chai. I love it creamy, with cardamom, and with a slight sweetness from condensed milk. The only two chai teas I like in Evanston/Skokie are the irani chai at Complimentary Cafe (on Fri-Mon)... and this one. And both are very reasonably priced. I'll be back to celebrate pay day with a pickup lunch here! :)
