Tasty burger. Small cozy place. I always order pick up from them. Will surely coming back again.

Pretty nice casual and convenient spot. Deli fare, short order grilled stuff. They have a pretty good assortment of sandwiches. Standard breakfast for me growing up is a bacon egg and cheese. I got mine with bacon, fried egg & cheddar on a bagel. Service was fast and it was early. It hit the spot, the bacon was all tasty and crispy, the cheddar melted real nice too. I was very satisfied and shall return. Cool part is they own a grocery next door. But that's a different review but nice as well

    Cheezy Italian Beef and fries

Decent for what it is - a small place near campus when you need a quick fix of filling food at ok prices. The cheesy Italian beef was a pretty large size and filing although the pepper or whatever seasoning on the beef tasted a little chemically to me. Beef was pretty tender and I liked the crisp, fresh yellow and red peppers (which they classify as sweet). I would perhaps try the hot peppers next time. Fries were actually very good - crispy outside and soft inside. Service was quick at lunchtime in spite of being busy. Basic, small interior with a handful plus of tables and some decent sidewalk tables. Beware that printed menu prices at the counter are woefully low except the hot dogs are still $3.99. Go by the prices on the board or website until they decide to print some updated menus.

D&D is a basic, casual eatery next to the Noyes purple line stop. I had been craving a hot dog for about two weeks so I decided to order one before I got on the L. When I asked for no mustard the cashier gave me a judgmental look. Normally, I would be upset to be judged for my order, but I understand that mustard on hotdogs is a Chicago tradition. Overall, the hot dog satisfied my craving; I liked the full pickle on it and the tomatoes were fresh. It was pretty small though so if you are hungry you would have to order more than just one.

    Gyro Sandwich

This place gives me the classic old time place feel combined with almost a food cart/food stand feel whilst being a brick and mortar location. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 8/10 It's nothing impressive inside, but it is a quaint place. It seats maybe 20 inside and around 10 right outside of it. SERVICE: 8/10 The people here are nice and food comes out pretty quick. I like being able to see them slice off the gyros before they cook them up. FOOD: 8/10 I've tried a variety of different items here and everything so far I felt was quite good. Gyro Sandwich - The classic lamb and beef gyro with tzatziki sauce on pita bread. The gyro itself is flavorful, not too salty and not too greasy. It was very reminiscent to a lot of Halal street food, and that is an immense compliment. Cheese Fries - Crinkle cut fries with some warm cheese sauce over it. The fries were not overly salty and overall it came together well. I was impressed. Meatball Sandwich - I liked that the bread was toasted lightly first. It gave it a nice crunch to go along with the soft meatballs and mozzarella cheese inside. The meatballs were seasoned well. My one issue with this one was I felt that there was too little sauce so it was a little bit on the dry side. VALUE: 8/10 For the price, I think it's hard to beat getting almost anything from here. Everything as far as I can recall is $10 or less. PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 9/10 I've actually already been back! TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: Go ahead and try something out here! I have heard good things about their hot dogs so I may try them out next. OVERALL: 8/10

I just came earlier today for a quick lunch. I ordered a double Chicago Dog with everything and a side of Cheese Fries. The fries were okay -- the frozen crinkle-cut style fries you see at a lot of cafeterias and it had warm melted cheese dripped over it. It was passable and luckily hit the spot. The dogs weren't bad at all, especially for the price ($3.65). They came with celery salt, relish, mustard, pickles, and sport peppers. Yum. I don't think I'll ever be craving dogs from DD, but it's nice to know it's just around the corner in case I can't make it out to anywhere else. Note: $5 minimum on card purchases.

Good Food. Nice Crowd. The Service was a bit Vulgar. Had a cheddar char dog with ketchup, mustard, dill relish, and giardineria.

Theres also no restroom so make sure you have hand sanitizer with you. Looking through other's reviews and pictures, I'm confident that the man who took my order is the same man everyone else is taking about and he is absolutely so sweet alongside the woman who was there too. I have driven by the ginormous hot dog on a carving fork numerous times, and finally made it a point to stop in. The vibe inside is old school. It reminds me of the counter service places of decades ago, not that I was alive. The same goes for the no-nonsense service, the analog menu, and little tickets with your order number. Don't misunderstand, the service, while efficient, was perfectly polite. And the upholstery and other furnishings are in tiptop shape. Everything is also very clean. Further, unlike many old school type places, they do accept credit cards. The Polish sausage was okay. I don't believe this is supposed to be a revolutionary, mind-blowing product, so no worries there. The only quibble I have is that the moisture caused it to fall apart easily, quickly making it a fork-and-knife affair. Where it comes to the Chicago dog, this one was great! Not only was it technically perfect and well-balanced, it also had that characteristic snap that few places have been able to deliver on. Only as a matter of personal preference I would've liked a touch more celery salt, but that's exclusively a 'me' thing. This one did not at all fall apart, even though it was the second one I ate, Finally, I want to award points for the value. While the Polish is a little bit up there, the hotdog is served at a terrific price, seemingly beaten out only by Costco! While Wolfy's is a little out of the way to take out-of-town visitors to, if it is along the way, you can be more than sure we'd be stopping in.

I am satisfied with their response and improve my rating from 1 to 4 stars This isn't a negative review of the food which was the standard chain quality (good but don't splurge on it much for health reasons). I was in the area for a play and picked up a local friend. I went here because an acquaintance (who since died) gave me multiple gift cards to Portillos which I needed to use. I had 4 cards, not sure how much was left on them. We got $27 worth of food and I started handing the cashier the cards. She told me to scan them on the read light reader. Only one had a scannable bar code. She was not sure how to read the others. My friend suggested she swipe it on keyboard, she didn't seem to know this already. Card 1 red light scanned ok. Card 2 swiped ok. Card 3 she swiped and it didn't register, unclear if it worked. Card 4 brought the total to 0$. She wasn't going to give the last 2 cards back and asked for the other two. My tried to clarify that card 4 might have value left, she confidently said no. I was suspicious since the total couldn't have exactly matched my bill. The next day I looked at the receipt and it clearly said there was money left on the card, over 8$. It's unclear whether card 3 had money or she just didn't scan it. I'm presuming this was poor training but it has an element of malicious intent since she was so confident I had nothing left on the card and requested keeping all the cards. If you have gift cards beware going here unless staff are trained. Receipt attached for proof. If the business is reading this, can I cat my money back?
