First impressions make lasting ones. The first issue I had was when I ordered two 2 piece catfish fillets for 7.99 each. The bill was almost 22.00. They had a price increase and were waiting on their new menu to arrive. I messaged the owner regarding the price and she stated that their prices are on FB. I only looked at the pictures of her food and reviews. I was not pleased with the owner's response. Once I ate the fish, it was overcooked and dark. I messaged her privately and she stated that all of their fish was crunchy. Bottom line, I was not happy and the owner never offered to replace it or refund the money. She simply gave me a thumbs up on Messenger. I brought that to her attention as well and she simply stated that it will be better the next time that I come. He made sure that my order was correct and that I had everything I needed before I left. We had the catfish and it was fresh and hot. The prices are fair to the market price for seafood. I happen to click on "Smash The Topic Live" and saw that they were advertising Fluffy chicken " me a chicken lover" I told myself I'm gonna try it. First I dnt live in Cedar Hill. So I call fluffy chicken to place a pick up order because a friend of mine had to go that way, just to find out that you have to order online (no problem) so I order a 4 piece chicken wing with extra seasoning and a kool-aid for 2.95, paid through cash app. Send my friend the receipt so she could pick up the food. I get a call from her saying the dnt have the kool-aid, I'm like ok just refund my money, my friend then said one of the workers Said " can you come get it tomorrow" I'm like no just refund me my money. My friend said that he said they dnt do refunds. I'm like let me talk to him. He gets on the phone and I told him that maybe they should block out items that's not available online so the customer won't get charged. Then I go to ask him if I can have an extra piece of chicken for him to tell me he couldn't do it. So basically they just took my 3 bucks and told me to come back the next day. That is not how you treat a paying customer. I mean nothing to accommodate me for the kool-aid not cool. The chicken wasn't the best I've had. So first off.... The chicken is GREAT, way better than Henderson's in my opinion.. but you will be paying a bit more for it. I hate the ordering system though, if you order online it doesn't give you options for chicken pieces, just dark/white/mix and I'm a leg wing girl. Now let's get to the "catfish" I think they started with catfish but it definitely tastes like swai now... I peeped someone ask the owner if it was real catfish but she didn't respond so that kind of confirms it. It is well seasoned though, they're just not consistent with the quality and I was actually given catfish strips instead of fillets once. I ordered in the restaurant and my order was rung up correctly but I didn't get what I ordered. What was supposed to be catfish wasn't even catfish. It was like fried tilapia or something. Even my mom said it didn't taste like catfish. One of us also ordered a shrimp basket but it was only shrimp; everything else from the basket was missing. Tried them once and the food was not great, I thought I would give them a second chance of the food was hot and fresh. My daughter went in to order, she asked one question, how long has the chIckes been down and the so called owner/s said that if you wanted fresh chicken to go home and cook yourselves, or go to Popeye's, they will redrop the old chicken to give to you. needless to say it was not good at all, they completely messed up the order and did not want to remake order, said my daughter had an attitude and didn't want to refund us. the husband of the owner came around the counter like he was going to put his hands on my daughter, told her to get out and we both said not without a refund.
