I stopped by Fluffy's Chicken yesterday and ordered the 3 wings with fries, which came with jalapeños, pickles, and bread. Let me start with the FOOD--the chicken was hot, seasoned well, juicy, and tasted GOOD! The fries were good too. My only little complaint: I wish I had been offered some ketchup and napkins. Y'all know good and well when that hot chicken hits the car, we're going to peek in that box and probably sneak a piece before we make it home--IF it makes it home! At least give me a napkin to hide the evidence! Now, the chicken was definitely juicier than the dry customer service. Whatever happened to speaking to your money when it walks through the door? A simple "Hey! Welcome in!" goes a long way. They weren't rude at all and were friendly during the interaction, but the welcome could use a little seasoning too. Overall, the food was good enough that I'll probably be back one day. Next time, though, I already know the assignment: ask for ketchup and napkins--or bring my own! Good chicken, Fluffy's. I order wings from here from time to time. Wings are great. A little pricy though. My complaint is that a few times I've gotten here before they closed. And they've denied me making an order. I ordered the 3 piece catfish with fries and okra... and let me tell you!! I love how uniquely flavored everything is and how it's consistent each time. You definitely won't find anything that taste like this anywhere. The catfish pieces were big & fluffy, and what I love about it is that it's real catfish, and you can taste the cleanliness of it. I'm a big fan of their okra also. I love how it's golden & crisp, and that they actually season it, they do their fries the same way too. Because there was plenty I was able to share it with my partner, and it left us both fulfilled. Average food, way overpriced for value. I do appreciate that the food is cooked to order, so be expected to wait. However the prices do not reflect fast casual. What I pay for a 2 piece catfish meal, I could receive same value at a nicer restaurant with service. The catfish was real but not fresh and tasted previously frozen . This is a nice local chicken place that appears to have taken the spotlight of the other chicken places nearby. Serving chicken and catfish will do it as a one stop shop to get your grub on. I got both to rule out everything since I'm not on this side of town a lot . Service was friendly and courteous. Food was made to order and didn't take long at all. There's no dine in seating but there is places to take a seat . So overall , Good not the best but better than most. It seemed like the same seasoning ( seasoning salt from the taste) was sprinkled on everything. The chicken was juicy just a little greasier than what I like but still good. They include bread, pickles and jalapeños In each basket and a side of their sauce. So the word on the street is that this place used to be affiliated with Henderson's chicken so I had to go in and see what was what. I can tell you that it is way better than Henderson ever was on their best day. The plate that you get is basically the same set up, two piece chicken, french fries on top of two pieces of bread with some pickles and peppers but fluffy's blows Hendersons out of the water. I've also had their catfish, which is fantastic and the seasoning is perfect and it's all perfectly crispy. So glad I went in. In fact I was like 5 minutes past their 8 minute promise time and I got a courtesy call to come pick up my order. So I decided to try them again today Friday a few days later. A much different experience. It was back to my first time visit. The fishy was gummy, the chicken soft and instead of a promised 10 minutes over the phone (they also require you to give credit card info over the phone for them to drop your order) I ended up waiting 35 minutes. Drove in today 11-21-20 from Shreveport about 1pm after following this place on IG and FB for a few weeks now. We parked in front and went in and was greeted by the crew and that doesn't happen too often at restaurants. My wife ordered the 2 pc fillet and and I had the fish and 4 pc shrimp combo and 3 hush puppies. We went back to the car and waited on the text to let us know the food was ready. We then pulled around the corner to a back lot apt complex or something and dove in. The fish and shrimp was seasoned to perfection and the hush puppies were too as well. The fries were hot and seasoned well also. It came with some real good homemade tarter sauce, ketchup, pickles, and bread.
